  • Quote from Mercenary Armies: “Quote from Manxol: “ Once LA bg is released, you can judge it. Personally I prefer our Dark Gods than Chaos Gods. Subjective again. ” Why? How this is possible is confusing for me. We talk about more than 10.000 page of bg, where the four are called also Dark Gods..the Laughing of the Dark Gods is a marvelous book indeed. They were able to deploy hordes of warriors and they were a menace to entire realities. Now the 7: Is complicated for them to raise a mortal army …

  • First off, @Villon, @clorens and @Kratos, hugs to you guys, that sounds terribly stale Secondly, do try out some of the supplements, you might be surprised that you like it. And try to get TOs to host something a bit different, maybe just starting off with something small like 5000 pts games or at least terrain set up in different ways. Lastly, because I couldn't resist (and I'm sorry about this):(Hidden Content)

  • I'm curious. In Spain, are there no fluffy tournaments? From this thread I get the impression that every tournament is a hardcore training session for the ETC. 4500 pts, default scenarios and map pack terrain. Are there no tournaments with unique scenarios or terrain? Different point sizes, tag team, side boards or special rules and restrictions? In Sweden I'd say we have about a fourth or a third of the tournaments going against the norm and do fun things. Some do a lot, other just change a det…

I take a pretty detailed look though of the Scroll in my latest yt video. Though in hinsight I realise I maybe don't give that much feedback in it though. youtube.com/watch?v=2VEy-qVeySY As for the layout, I think its good. A bit unsure about the new design of the cover though. The font of "The 9th Scroll" doesn't match the banner at all.

  • Wow, you really have given it some thought, I like that. Had another look at the base with new eyes and I like it better now. At first glanze it looked like black plastic with dead leaves on. The dark mud fooled me. I think you'd need something to break up the dark areas a bit. the dead leaves are good, but maybe something green too? Like tall grass turfs or something. Rocks could work too. One other thing to consider is painting the side of the base, in my opinion that can really add a lot. Per…

  • Quote from raven: “totally agree with you. I lack inspiration/talent for the bases... For the purple/light grey/beige, where do you think i should put it ? Edit : Jere is my evening work from yesterday. The pictures are not really good though... imgur.com/gallery/QmD0QfW Enjoy the rise of the snake god ! (SSSsssSssSssotek !!) ” Even rather simple basing would be a big lift. I use PVA glue to stick sand the base, seal it with a coat of PVA, paint it brown and stick some turfs on it. Instead of re…

  • This army is looking really promising! The models are awesome, and your paintjob is great. The NMM suits them well. I like the colour scheme idea for the snake, T9A is all about historical inspiration so its a great take. A comment on the Caiman though. I feel that the red feathers on his arm draw way too much attention. Other than those you have a very limited pallet with blue, brown and gold. I think purple or a light grey or beige could work much better. Also, is his base finished, it looks a…

  • In general, I personally wouldn't mind it, and I would allow it on tournaments I host. Some comments on your model choices though. The Man-o-War Shocktroopers as Taurukhs doesn't sound right to me. Too small for anointed and in general they would probably look a bit odd on the elongated bases. The Greylord Outriders or the Iron Fang Uhlans would probably be a better fit for the smaller Taurukhs. For anointed I think some of the heavy warjacks could suffice, but don't use them in the same army as…

  • I had planned getting some stuff fro them, so I took this opportunity. Only I used the discount as an excuse to get some more minis and I ended up spending more than I was planning for before I knew of the discount

Quote from infamousme: “I'm just saying from business perspective, you might not want to make parts for a discontinued kit. I've been looking and good lots of orc boyz aren't common on ebay unless it's the 6th ed starter set guys. ” Sure, but making orc arms with shoulders makes them more useful for conversions. Its easier for the customer to cut away the shoulder than it is to add them. With a shoulder they could probably be useful for Norba, Shieldwolf and Mantic orcs too, rather than just the…

Quote from infamousme: “GW doesnt make the common orc boyz anymore Although, since the option is crossbows and heavy armor, it would work good on the black orcs. Maybe a set of non armored heads (or just regular helmets) could come with the crossbow bits as well. ” Meh, they make 40k Orks which is pretty much the same thing, plus there are still tons of GW common orcs in circulation. Personally I think the Black Orc bodies are to large for the purpose.

Quote from infamousme: “Quote from Mad 'At: “@Battlebits An idea for future kits. The OnG have an option to equip Orcs with Crossbows, but there are quite few miniatures to represent this with. A kit with 5 different sculpts of Orc arms holding crossbows would be awesome. ” for which orc models? The GW black orcs? ” I'd prefer to put them on GW common orc bodies. But if they make the arms complete with shoulders, you could cut that away to use it on GW Black Orcs.

Hi Just thought I'd post this here as well. Its an almost 2h long runthrough of the army, with some thoughts on fluff, rules and miniatures. I hope you'll find it enjoyable. youtu.be/tDs7FOFECdA

  • All things considered, I'm quite happy with this update. For a tournament in December I've been thinking about taking an Noferatu colossal dragon, with a shrieking horror, winged reapers and spectral hunters. I've used a somewhat similar list before at a tournaments and it performed alright. I alway aim to avarege 10 pts per battle at tournaments and it was still possible with that list. Now the list got around 80 pts cheaper, which is nice. To me it feels like this update hit the net lists dece…
