  • Oh so you mean, a Cyclops could have a "one per army" upgrade to channel. I like this idea, it could work as a cool option where it steal an opponents unused Veil tokens and move them to the BH player? (As a one off rule more power/impact would be nice) And for clarity previously i mentioned Cyclops should have Accurate vs Channel, not channel itself. I have fingers crossed for a gold edition Herdstone/warplatform that will channel and cast spells etc.

  • If I can survive the final singles event of the year then I'll be there in the main event, and you can count me in. If somehow I finish outside the places i guess I'll be there for the side event to also prevent Jord winning the event and the painting award.     @Mirdhynn I'll try and do an overview of how I personally get the best of the cyclops when I play and how I build my list/how it plays. I'll stick in in a separate thread when I am done, would that be alright? Not saying everyone should do it, and of course there will be other ways to play them, but I can do a summary of how I have used them and share information on that.

    HI all, I seem to play BH differently, as I very much have a control style and react to opponents rather than play an out and out push style. But I have spend years building around Cyclops and making the most of them as my favourite models. I am pleased they came down slightly in points, but I feel they are missing something to make them balanced. - (Accurate vs Channel) would be my preferred way of fixing them. - Removing the chance of them losing ammunition for the rest of the game would also …

  • 3x Grt Wpn minotaur.... Unless you run a champion and run them like a dart, I am not convinced this unit will help you. Any lightweight target they want to fight (I.e. one that doesn't kill them first) can be dealt with easier with paired weapons or shields, both which help them survive longer as well as they are more likely to get to strike. But hopefully you have a role for them you like, but I think you might find striking at all is better than waiting for the last one to wound on 2's. Cheers…

  • Team PWP disbanded with the reduction to 3's. So now Team Mookbusters (two thirds of a team name) needs a third arm to compliment SA & BH we think at this stage. Cheers,

  • Interesting, so far i haven#'t had that issue as I have ranged monsters to protect the flank as no one can afford to fail a long charge there. but I take it on board, I'll see how the next games like this play out. I think other races would lose their minds if we had Bodyguard in Core. (Although i'd like to see it work on a single Beastlord/Chieftain joining unit only, as a Herd leader.) Cheers,

  • Another update of games played with some bad choices or lesser used units, at the Cardiff Open this weekend past in UK. My list was a Triclops list with master shamanism, and Evo adept powering two blocks of Mongrel Spears and Mino Chiefs, plus 3x hounds, 5 centaurs and two ambush units of longhorns.   • @Shako, those figures are very useful many thanks for doing them. @Smith F, thank you for you feedback too, not everyone is against the changes made, but there are some areas that need help. There are other of us who have played triple clops and have well tested their balances for many years, and they are indeed short for their cost.   • Ok, we all know there are some issues with the points changes, some haven't change enough, some maybe missed, others too much. But, If you could make one change back/new changes to either an item, weapon upgrade, or one unit points cost wise please list them, I'll capture all we can and share on the feedback of what we are most adverse to, in order to channel it into one response.   • I think the points changes are not the best we could have hoped for, but it's not the worst either. The "Caal" list lost one unit to offset the points increases to our good stuff. The Eye is now too expensive to have on the MinoLord are an all comer item, but in teams it still has purpose as a bully against DL lists. Small changes to some units that don't change much isn't a big deal, but there were some missed opportunities to get other reductions in which is the shame, would have been good wit…

  • Let's face it if Frenzy worked as it should and prevented people using parry skill. We would only see paired weapons taken on Minos/nothing at all as the grt wpns mean we die before we get to put a hole in something. The Beast Axe is a strange one to me, go last is bad, and we are a glass cannon as many of you have said, and when you accept that you have a build that suits grtwpn more.   • Personally don’t think the placement in the tiers is all that out of place. The gap between tiers will differ and the gaps are no where near as big as they were in the past. We cannot do everything, and don’t have an answer to all problems, but nor does anyone else, that’s what create the imbalances and make the game interesting.
