  • Thanks, your feedback will be taken into account in the next edition. - Why do you want to merge the Orishas? - Please suggest a better Asambosam. - Please suggest a better Pygmy war Chief. - War Mask is a war mask, not a heavy armor, cannot name it armor because of the background. Still, it may be enchanted. - Special Pygmies: please suggest. For the suggestions, I don't mind having very detailed suggestions, I do mind having very vague directions which let me do all the work. Thanks for the ap…

A reply from one with a red tag. Quote from Kasperero: “I have a lot of questions about the process of new factions being incorporated into T9A. So I will just list them here! :p 1. How do new factions come to be accepted into T9A? A. Executive Board decides. The new faction must be desirable in terms of background and in terms of new playstyle. It must expect to meet popular success, and must have some models already available, otherwise it won't be picked up. 2. Will there be more factions the…

Actually, background is super important. The acrimony against AoS wasn't only against round bases. It was also against blowing up a setting to which players were attached. T9A exists to give back players control over their hobby. It is also what links together all T9A games.

Quote from Pellegrim: “There can be collaboration (without excluding parties), and it could prove huge (as in: absolutely huge) for the whole wargaming scene; but you'd have to be willing to explore the options together. Is that something 9th would be willing to do? ” Yes, of course. We're willing to work with all companies, no exception. Quote from Pellegrim: “you could actively reach out at feel the temperature. I at least hope 9th does this) Exploring together is always positive imo. ” No, of…

@Mercenary Armies T9A never reaches companies for cooperation. If GW wants to use T9A rules, they can. If they want to distribute T9A rules, they can. If they want more, they can ask. But we will never place ourselves in a position to depend on them, no more than for any other company.

  • Almost done... as usual.

  • Quote from JimMorr: “This is difficult time. But I have decided to carry on. Thousands of hours spent by numerous volunteers cannot get wasted. It is the biggest, most successful community driven project out there. As soon as Project will publish the book I will start preparation for campaign. I hope you will be with me. ” Kudos for the perseverance, Grzegorz.

  • Note, I haven't updated the first post in one year. I rely on you guys telling me what to update.

An easy path for GW would be to publish Homebrew LABS, full of gorgeous artwork, using T9A rules adapted to WH fluff. They would get our great rules for free, and we would get awesome models for our 18 16 14 ~12 armies they still support. They would be able to reproduce the authentic T9A rules on their website, like they did a while ago for Bloodbowl: our licence allows them to do that. For tournaments, they would organize T9A tournaments with their Homebrew LABS, leaving to us the ETC.

Quote from Persedious: “I have a lot more to say on the subject than just this, but my first thought was if the Bretonnians somehow get a new book/pamphlet before the KoE do we are going to be a giant meme. ” I cannot take bets because of being an insider, but I wish I could.

Quote from hypnotic: “Good or bad news, its definitively something that T9A project have to take into consideration. For example spending a lot of resources and time on art and fluff for full books, may not be the best idea. Rulewise 9th age wins, and that should be top priority. We cant beat GW resources, marketing, community management, attracting new players and of course new models. If they start pumping reasonable models , that cant be used in 9th age, lets say HE wyrm riders or DH bear rid…

My reaction: - it looks like GW learns from T9A: square bases, (more) believable setting than AoS. - I would not be surprised to see them creating with WH9th a copy-cat of T9A, with rules inspired form T9A and setting taken directly from WH8th. - This would be a big win for the players, who massively wanted to keep WH lore and square bases, but with greater balance. T9A was created to replace WH8, mission will be completed! It is a risk for T9A, but still: - GW needs to sell more models by the m…

  • Quote from Ghiznuk: “By the way, so you need to remove the « If Wizard Master » mention in the Cleric profile. Also, they don't have any power if they don't take the Gem of Light, and for this, they need to be mounted on a Shield. Maybe give them more Bound Spells ? It could be in the form of holy books or scrolls that you have to buy, much like the Battle Runes for the DH army. And so the Hereditary Spell can stay. I only wish the Koghi would get as much love than this army… ” Quote from Caliss…

  • Think Ethiopia vs. Eritrea in RL. They share the same old Christian heritage, and most of their history. Eritrea capital, Asmara, is at more than 1000 km from Addis Ababa. It would take close to ~20 days walking from here to there. However they have been separated by recent history and have endured a sad war, the end of which gained Nobel prize to the Ethiopian PM. Asmara is only 180 km from Aksum, the ancient religious center which is still in Ethiopia, but where they speak the same language, T…

  • @piteglio Will update in next edition. @Ghiznuk only rule change was dropping any wizard ability, including hereditary spell, and reducing accordingly the cost of the cleric. @Ghiznuk Lots of fluff provided by KNC. @Karak Norn Clansman Fluff altered as well, in order to no longer trace back to Saurians. One may still claim it, but a separation from KG as late as early 9 Age is plausible as well.

  • Update! After discussion with BG team, we dropped the idea of using magic, as too un-Dwarf. Pretty much everything else remained, and nearly all the artwork and more fluff has been incorporated. The name has changed: Nemed Dhuraz Here it is: pdf: drive.google.com/open?id=1n3IlSt9qj-0BVjymlGHCXhSakoSf97ND Word: drive.google.com/open?id=18yUNHjd9kGVkksKyQvF_f1mEkHHiNFxY

  • Quote from Ghiznuk: “there is a difference between letting people use whatever universe they like for their own kitchen, and making up an army project on this website, which is the official Ninth Age forum, using someone else's fluff. ” The use of WH names is not taboo on our website. It is taboo only for T9A team members, and @UnknownUser is not one of us. I see no legal reason to object to a Homebrew inspired from WH lore - as long as it is an inspiration only, i.e. no violation of GW IP right…

  • Well, you will not receive here professional legal advice from anyone, but common sense, which should suffice given the low stakes. If you look at all the efforts made by T9A for the 1st edition to ensure that not a single sentence would be similar to a similar rule in WHFB, not a single name would be kept from the fluff and that at all pics would be originals, this may give you an indication. Additionally, the move to 1.3 and then 2.0 has been acknowledged to be caused at least partially with l…
