  • How useful are characters in these tough match ups? I imagine a chariot character with a decent save is a good counter to Wretched ones? and a Res 6 character with a special save is a good thing to throw into disciples?

  • Quote from Smackemall: “Hi guys. This has surely been discussed somewhere, but can anybody tell me if you can easily combine the Forest Ranger minis by GW with the Greatswords of Dread Judges? I really can't stand the original Weapons, being sooo overdone? Thanks for answers. I'm thinking about Christmas presents:) ” I converted Rangers and Shadow warriors to make rangers. Its possible with a little skill and some green stuff

Quote from Shukran: “aa much as i understand. 90p chaff to lock 355+p unit/listMECHANIC. Drop hellmaw cost and stats then ” Can you name a 90 point chaff unit that doesnt have a chance to be killed or take a panic test if its deployed on top of a portal and it is being closed? I think the suggested change should come in conjunction with being able to both close and open a portal per magic phase for each maw.

I played a 5 game tournament this weekend where 3/5 games I played against the hellmaw (and 4/5 games vs warriors). I had an all-rounder SE army which is very mobile. Usually Warriors is a good matchup for SE because I can run around him and pick my fights. However,The warriors with hell maw were able to: Out fight me. Out maneuver me. Out magic me (out shoot me). Over 3 games I managed 19 points (perhaps should have gotten 22 as one of the opponents played the scoring rules incorrectly). All we…

Made from a @Tim 'Bananaman' FIsher Mercie Miniatures Wooly Pig bro, a Mantic chariot (plus some chains), some GW shields and a cadwallon miniatures wolf character (holding a plastic GW minotaur axe - the rapier he came with didnt scream "Beast Lord" enough for my liking), plue a bit of green stuff here and there! • Quote from Little Joe: “Often people will use the sprues to build a stick man to glue the bits onto. You can make them more irregular with a hobby knife. You will want to look up pinning for that. Greenstuff basically is plumber's putty used to seal pipes (2 parts). When using modeling tools you can use it to bridge gaps, add details and as skills evolve, you can sculpt whole miniatures from scratch. It is widespread in the hobby ad called that way because it is green. There are many putties out…
