The first thing is the shield's strap, as @Marcos24 can tell you personally, the strap closest to the hand is in an X pattern and there's usually a strap for putting the shield over the shoulder (though most people model without either) s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/6…9fb8a2b5dd05234dd9482.jpg If you're …

  • Quote from Little Joe: “You are right Taki, but the professional way for Fireforge Games is to resolve it with a direct contact and we should not be involved that. If the complaint results in changes, we will undoubtedly find out in a kickstarter update. As I wrote above, all constructive criticism is good and there is a correct way to handle it. ” No, I feel, as a customer, in the same kickstarter, which has been delayed for me as well, that now that he's voiced his issues publicly, ones that I…

Quote from dan: ““Hold fast” is the only semi-colloquial use of it that comes to mind. ” This and "Stand Fast" are both used in the US Army (and I think the other branches). A fastness in military terms refers to a state of rapid deployability, hence hold fast, a fort that you could deploy from rapidly. The old use of March is similar, where marcher lords were the ones expected to be first to march or fight, as they were situated on the boarders of a realm. Quote from Cam: “Quote from Kallstrom:…

  • Quote from dan: “To publicly call a company out for being “dishonest” is a strong claim that requires strong supporting evidence. What we got instead was an uncompelling vent, and yes, I find that to be both distasteful and and self indulgent. ” I don't think it was uncompelling at all, we were in fact given different rates on shipping, they did in fact sell at salut and they haven't responded to his email, and the above statement doesn't address any of his issues. Frankly your response is much …

Forgive me for pointing out to potential customers the type of company they wold be dealing with. Being a smaller company and not having English as your first language doesn't excuse you from proper business practices. ” The vitriol in your posts would be appropriate if the company came to your house an…

Quote from DanT: “Quote from Taki: “Not a good argument. It was mostly a facetious comment Historical vs Fantasy is aesthetic. His argument is simulationist vs gamist, as should yours be. You are right that more historical style games care about simulation over gameplay, but I don't think he's wrong to call for what he wants in this game. And frankly I agree with him. Sure. I don't think I objected to him calling for what he wants in this game? I might have objected to the presumption that what …

Quote from DanT: “Quote from Herminard: “Quote from DanT: “Ok. I disagree.I think you might find yourself better served by historicals. ” Its not an argument I am making on basis of historical purism. Its an argument I am making on gameplay function. ” Sure. But I think the gameplay you are arguing for is never what this game has been.I think you are arguing for similar gameplay to what is found in historicals. So I was trying to save you some time and heartache by recommending you play historic…

Quote from Herminard: “Then there are 2 instances of heavy knights with lances. To use these in a defensive role, to challenge territory in no mans land and to instagate battle is something that would decidedly broadens the metagame neither of these examples are at all unheard of historically* or mythologically** (please do correct me if I am wrong @Taki* @Giladis**). Balance wise you also pay a fair deal of opportunity cost by letting your most quality damage dealers recieve a charge. ” Histori…

Quote from Herminard: “Champions should become an immortal part of the unit on the same basis as the rest of the command group - and the champion should recieve more interesting tasks than to be the fodder of greater foes. I can from the top of my head not think of a single military entity where there were not some primus inter pares at work. @Taki? To not render the challenge mechanic obsolete - perhaps allowing the Champion to issue challenges as per now is fine - but if he dies, the regiment …

  • As I have stated before here and in other places, I'm a big fan of fire forge games and have already pledged on this kickstarter, I like the miniatures on offer though the tower and walls are far too expensive for me. I do have some questions though When will we have access to the beta test rules and what kind of input is being looked for (just broken combos or a fuller evaluation?) Will there be rules for using your historical models in this game? Will the rules also include army lists for othe…

Interestingly enough, all of the "magic" we ascribe to arab flavored armies is actually Byzantine in nature (whom they considered great wizards and magicians historically), especially alchemy and the crafting of magical artifacts. I'll do some digging to see what the Romans thought of the arabs and their magical traditions and myths if you want.

I just got my TMS Equitaine KS stuff, I've got to say I'm a little disappointed. While the models themselves are good sculpts and a quality product, part of the reason I backed this kickstarter was the great concept art for female knight/models. I even went so far as to ask if it were possible to get those models exclusively. Now, after going through my models, i find that I have none of those models in my order. I then went to their website, and it seems that they never produced those models, a…
