We had this discussion some time ago and the result was that 'it stacks' for -2 if you manage to find such sweet spot.

It's Spanish meta. Of course you can find similar lists in other countries, but for example in Poland players have more varied lists. I will not play gortachs in following months for sure. Other units look much more interesting to me.

You can have other things than cyclops to threaten horrors on range. Swarm of Insects, bows from mongrel raiders, TW from ambushing wildhorns. He has to come close to scream, so cyclops could hit on 4+ easily.

Quote from Xarlie: “CIclops with 6W and Aegis5 can survive a little more but of course...a ciclop cant do the same than a gortach ” And Gortach can't do what Cyclops can. The mentioned Shrieking horror is a horror pairing for Gortach, but dream for cyclops. Actually you can take both 2x Gortach and 2x Cyclops I had such lists on WTC 2,5 years ago and it wasn't bad at that time (we got to semifinal). But it was many patches ago.

Quote from Mirdhynn: “@Kolata @Ironrock You say that the list have to be built around cyclops to be effective. Can you tell us more ? What is the general concept to make them work fine ? ” My list with 3 cyclops included also many mongrel raiders, centaur with hawthorne curse and 2 adepts with magic missles (druidism+shamanism). In addition 2 blocks of minotaurs and minotaur BSB for head to head combat and 2x ambushing wildhorns with PW+TW for scoring. So it was sh!tload of mobile shots but also…

Cyclops are really good for their points. They only suck in combat vs enemy heroes, monsters and unstompable things. But they threaten them (heroes and monsters) on range. Also, they can easily hold enemy hero or flying monster for 1 turn for countercharge thanks to monstrous rank. At the same time they are much more resilient than all other monsters we have. Versatility for good price is the key. If you have 3, some matchups turn from horrible to good. The biggest problem I found is that it's h…

For last 1,5 year I've been playing triple cyclops with quite good results. Finally I took double Gortach for a big tournament in Poland last weekend. They got shot down in 4 out of 5 battles doing almost nothing (even though I had 2 Binding Scrolls and Druidism master). I played 2x ID, 2x VS, 1x DH. They go on shelf for another 1,5 years Do you have the same experience?

Quote from sixfthoneybadger: “Quote from Kolata: “6 minimum, 7 optimum, 8 luxury ” Is that with or without Minotaur character. I like taking a minotaur warlord? Or better 3x3x2? ” Depends on matchup. For example vs KoE you go always 3x3x2. But if you need a screen, play vs many penetrating hits or simply calculate that t…

Quote from clorens: “with navigator banner we impact 5+ ” Not all WL have this banner. And even if they have, minotaurs still hit MUCH better on 5+ re-rollable with battle focus than WL on 4+ (Minotaurs with parry). Also minotaurs have autohitting impact hits and stomps. All you need is 1 spell to win this combat easily.

The best against white lions are charging minotaurs with shields. You get 1 good spell off (Black Wing totem or Stone Skin) and they completely destroy WL.

It might be only 4 attacks, but rerolling everything means that you often get 3-4 kills even against tough foes. So the Wildhorns only need to tank a bit and you're winning the fight (and the grind, in the long ru…

@Mirdhynn I'm sorry, but this is just your opinion that BH suck on single events. Data from tournaments show something else, right @Just_Flo ? As to mentioned 3 units: Cyclops - they are very good for this price in my opinion Jabber - 320 looks interesting, worth testing Longhorns - big units have 3 problems: 1. Most of all are horribly overpriced!!! (at least 2ppm for extra models) 2. Our heroes on foot are mediocre at best. 3. In this section Minotaurs are way better.

@Hruggek We are talking about THIS patch. Main assumption of this patch its that we do only price changes for better overall balance (with exception of UD Hereditary and Duke Nukem - I don't think there were any other design changes, right?).

Guys, please be realistic. Before you write anything you must consider facts: 1. BH are competitive army, for sure not below average. 2. There will be no design changes. So all ridiculous wishlists make no sense. I bet most users don't event read these lists, especially if they are RT members who see them in all 16 army forums. In addition, this way, if you have 1 good idea which is hidden among 15 unrealistic requests and wall of complaints, there is a big chance it will be lost. For example - …
