  • My team is paid (Shannon, Paul, Lee, Gray).

  • Risky Charge is confirmed for Shannon Powell, Lee Hall, Gray Williams, Paul Loester. Payment incoming.

  • I'm pretty leery of allowing them at the more standard GTs (singles or teams). They have not been through anywhere near the same level of vigorous playtesting and balancing as the main books. I don't have an issue with them at Brawlers (because that's a pretty quirkly tournament anyway - what with Carnage scoring and special scenarios) ... but I lean towards leaving the supplementals out for Colonial.

Quote from MalachitTheDark: “@Blonde Beer - thank you a lot for explanation from your side. Could you also clarify why Altars haven't been discussed? And why Varkolaks got price increase? Maybe I play different tournaments, but I haven't seen them both for quite a long time (maybe just in rare cases). ” Quote from Rellzed: “@Blonde Beer Thank you, When you have time, I'd like you to say also something about the Altar of undeath that didn't received any points drop despite being quite useless, an…

  • I like some of these creative ideas, but they will have to wait for the legendary book. The price decrease had a similar effect on my list. I opted for an extra ogre and a cheaper magic banner to keep core just over min. I do think our core tax is mostly gone at this point, meaning if you are over min core, its not necessarily a bad thing.

  • Quote from Grouchy Badger: “Quote from Snarkhunter: “Brigands and Peasant Bowmen were both reverted back to the 2.0 starting cost. Additional models are still 1 ppm cheaper than 2.0. Note that the changelog posted above does not also include the 2.1 beta changes. If you look at both combined I think you'll get a better picture of what real changes this army has. ” does the presence of cheaper bowmen really cause such a ruckus in the book? ” Looks like we have the next year to find out.

  • Quote from Kaitin: “A good patch. WO's are definately there. Good to see price reductions on FDA. But... Dragon still didn't get cheaper this year ” From Oct 2019 (v2.0) until now (beta v2.2): - the chosen lord dragon went from 390 -> 370 - the sorcerer dragon went from 425 -> 400 That's cheaper, yes?

  • SE 2019 final update

Snarkhunter - - Sylvan Elves (SE)

    Post

Quote from Alexwellace: “Quote from Snarkhunter: “Quote from Alexwellace: “This. The effect on chieftains is essentially that the Heroes Heart build has gotten 15pts more expensive, while the Hunter's Honour build has stayed the same. What was initially two competing builds with no clear winner, now has a clear winner. I don't really think this is justified. However at least we can now use Titanic Might, Horn of the Hunt and Aether Icon. Other than that, cheaper Huntsmen units are probably worth…

Snarkhunter - - Sylvan Elves (SE)

    Post

The Titanic Might/Whirlwind change was seen as more beneficial to chieftains due to their much more limited magic item allowance, thus the additional offset to their mundane weapons (specifically the ones with additional AP).

  • Anybody up for a game to shake the dust off Friday afternooon/night? I can be at the firehouse by around 5.

  • Quote from Shane: “I'm somewhat bothered though, because it seems to me the units that have had their points adjusted towards correct are the ones who are most likely to be entirely re-designed for the new book, which to me means that progress made on them is likely somewhat wasted. Which is not to say it's not appreciated, because as I said above, I'm very happy that those current incarnations are moving in positive directions. ” They're all being redesigned. It's a new book, not an updated one…
