  • I tend to jump my wizard between both Light Infantry units and the IG. The Militia can be useful in early turns to push out the wizard and cast some spells, but mostly this is dangerous and leaves the wizard exposed to magic/shooting. The lack of chaff is one of the key parts of the list. No easy points for your opponent to get. The militia can be chaff, the Tank cold hold things up, the Griffon can threaten things from the side, the flaggies can hold things up and the Arcane Engine and both uni…

  • Quote from Locklust: “I stole your inquister build minus the reroll armour and your Knight commander for this tourney (came 13th) the two together in that Knight bus is insane. (especially with buffs) How come you didn't run the Knight commander this time round? ” Purely from a testing point of view. I know what that unit can bring to a list and what you sacrifice to put it into a list. I needed to know if it can work as a secondary piece to a wider army, not the main unit (it cannot, at least n…

  • Quote from Adaephon_Delat: “Congratulations! I really like your list! How did your Inquisitor perform? Did you miss hatred in your knights? ” I failed to use him in an effective and efficient way. The main purpose of this list was to test out two changes from my "normal" list. - The Knights and Inquisitor - The flagellants Overall the test worked. The knights were either not very good, or more likely, I cannot use them well. They were mainly there to be an Inquisitor delivery system, and I didn'…

  • I thought I would start off the new update with a new thread. Also a positive post to start things off! There was a 42 player tournament in the UK this weekend and Empire placed 3rd and 6th respectively. This includes playing a game against each other, so results could even have been higher! Leaderboard - tourneykeeper.net/Singles/TKLeaderboard.aspx?Id=3033 3rd Place List - @Fthunder 300 - Prelate, General, Great Weapon, Plate Armour, Imperial Seal 245 - Marshal, BSB, Shield, Death Warrant, Will…

  • Quote from Flipper boy: “navs tailoring his list lol took his shaman off his boar knowing I have 3 bolthrowers lol ” Surprise surprise haha

  • Quote from Nemeroth: “Quote from Nerocrossius: “Quote from Fthunder: “All mounts for EOS seem to not be giving points values correctly. ” Are you on IOS?From what I can see with EoS 2.2 v20 Battlescribe version 2.03.10 on Desktop shows EoS mount prices correctly and Android 2.03.16 also has EoS mounts correct. IOS 2.03.06 does not have mount prices working across multiple armies currently so we're still waiting for Battlescribe to update IOS to 2.03.10 or maybe even 2.03.16... ” Yeah desktop is …

  • All mounts for EOS seem to not be giving points values correctly.

  • Lists and draw attached. Draw also below. Due to a dropout the draw has changed slightly (Tables 1 and 16), the draw below is correct. Table 1 – Warren Brewster Vs Jack Austin Table 2 – Shane Shepherd Vs The Master (Nav) – GRUDGE Table 3 – Tommy Tucker Vs Tom Clews – GRUDGE Table 4 – Richard C Vs Kristian R Table 5 – Tanka Vs John T Table 6 – Darren W Vs Luke T Table 7 – Matt Clews Vs Matt Champion – Battle for the name Matt C Table 8 – Slatch Vs David P Table 9 – James H Vs Gareth W Table 10 – …

  • Quote from Alzam: “@lasitus yes, it works. Truth of time maxi/min rolls also affect pursue moves (and that's what the random moves are). As for the "always move the distance stated" 3d6 maximised twice is still only a 3d6 move. The first part you quoted is exactly there to try and make sure everyone plays it right On the same idea, reroll would also work (not that I know any way to get one), but not things like +1d6 or -2 ” To clarify this: Maximised Roll and Minimised Roll For dice rolls subjec…

  • Quote from Jomppexx: “Quote from Fthunder: “The Return of Run and Gun 400 - Wizard Master, Cosmo, Heirloom 475 - Marshal, Great Griffon, Shield, Hero's Heart, Ghostly Guard, Winter Cloak 255 - Marhsal, BSB, Shield, Death Warrant, Lucky Charm, Willow's Ward 300 - Prelate, General, Imperial Seal, GW, PA 360 - Inquisitor, Blessed Steel, Horse, Shield, Brace of Pistols, Dusk Forged, Hammer of Witches 452 - 37 Heavy Infantry, Halberds, C, M, SB, Household Standard 280 - 17 Light Infantry, Handguns, M…

  • I have had success with the two lists below so far. The first one may help some people think a little outside the box with things! The Return of Run and Gun 400 - Wizard Master, Cosmo, Heirloom 475 - Marshal, Great Griffon, Shield, Hero's Heart, Ghostly Guard, Winter Cloak 255 - Marhsal, BSB, Shield, Death Warrant, Lucky Charm, Willow's Ward 300 - Prelate, General, Imperial Seal, GW, PA 360 - Inquisitor, Blessed Steel, Horse, Shield, Brace of Pistols, Dusk Forged, Hammer of Witches 452 - 37 Heav…

  • Quote from Jackginger: “I like the crush attack for prelates. Super cheap with hatred and divine attack. I hope he does get both effects for this attack....right? ” He doesn't get either unfortunately

  • I love handguns. When I shoot things I want them to stay dead

  • Quote from Nemeroth: “As a new EOS player my feed back would focus on the BSB builds being nerfed. Just because Black-Steel and the Death Warrant were taken all the time, doesn’t mean they needed to be made illegal for BSBs, it was merely the best BSB build, not a problematic OP combo. This is why people are getting frustrated with the solely data driven changes, they don’t seem to take internal balance of the lower tier armies into account. I have faith the feedback will help fix some issues th…

  • Bear in mind that this round was only points changes and not rules changes. A rules change is probably needed to the Steam Tank to stop the rise in points that happens every round of updates.

  • The removal of the Blacksteel/Death Warrant combo seems excessive and unnecessary. The increase to light troops is fine, but honestly do not think it was needed for external or internal balance. The Steam Tank going up again is annoying, but in line with other raises across other books for similar pieces. I think the Reiters and Rangers both coming down has the potential to be abused, but worth keeping an eye on over the beta period. Apart from the above I am interested to see what the new book …
