  • Quote from Chronocide: “No offense intended in the slightest, but SE really don't appeal as an army I'd be willing to build. Really bland, in my opinion. I'd imagine that a decrease of local players might be related to a dislike of building an army, at least as likely as an in-game reason. Dunno, seems like SE is two partial armies combined, rather than one complete army. You have the Elves and the trees. The SE elves don't really have enough on their own, and the trees too. ” To each their own.…

Okay, I just didn't triangulate the rules well enough. Why keep the Model Rule then, though? Why not replace Chariot on the DT test table with Construct? EDIT: Or hey, here's another idea. The Chariot Model Rule should tell which units are Chariots. When one needs to check up how much DT damage their unit is going to take, you look up terrain -> see the Chariot entry -> Look up Chariot rule -> Only says it takes more DT damage (the same thing as the DT table). The leads of figuring out if that u…

There is a Model Rule "Chariot". Checked a few books and no chariot seems to have that rule, nor does any other unit for that matter. That rule also links to some other places, like Dangerous Terrain roll tables etc. Is it some old relic left there or am I going crazy?

  • You know, I've had dreams about Citadel Guards guarding their citadel walls with their flintlocks not having the range to hit any enemies. Maybe if they can get a moving wall, they can get in range?

  • Oh, so we might get two towers? The bigger and dumber the ID war machines are the more I love 'em. Also there's so much more potential for scratch building which makes me super happy.

  • I'm really, really feeling this! It's just too bad that Lammasu as a character mount had to go. It was nice and symmetric to have mage mount for mages and fighty mount for fighters.

There is something funky in that page. Opening that in Illustrator gives me a giant huge box on purple over everything else, which is not preset in other pages. Almost as if the purple text had bled its contents from a broken path.

  • No. They are fire.

  • Oh it HAS to be Hobgoblin Chieftain. I come from a limited section. He comes from characters and only Lugar hero is more limited. My top speed is high, but I can also crawl. Mounted vs. on foot. I can be fielded large, or fielded small. Again, mounted gets Tall. Fire is my ally, it does not betray me. Most assuredly he don't get to wield (or has the point allowance) it himself, and most assuredly this is what he is led to believe. It has to be this. Or maybe Bulls of Shamut, dunno.

  • Quote from Lord_Tyranicus: “Has anyone placed an order direct from Titan-Forge? I bought some of their Incinerators / Life-Shredders nearly a month ago but never got an order confirmation or any way to check order status, and after multiple attempts to contact them, I've heard nothing back. Just curious if anyone else has had experience with them in the past? ” I've made an order there once or twice. Didn't have any problems. I've also seen them come up almost annually in these "anyone else have…

Did someone get these yet? kickstarter.com/projects/danci…and-hobgoblins-miniatures I'd like to get really exact measurements of the mortar pot, if someone could provide. Thanks! How's the quality overall on those? Is there any 3D printing layers visible from the masters?

  • There's something in having a popcorny absolute evil and absolute good, and not to have to read paragraphs upon paragraphs of politics that explain which one is right or wrong.

  • Instead of 5+, it's 4+.

  • Every Immortal has a bad version of Shamanism A.

  • Quote from Kasocles: “Surely you can't be that dependant on the Icon? I haven't used it for quite some time actually. I would rather see Besheluk's Mechanism easier to get through in some way to add to our magic phases. ” Like I said, I don't like using it (and rarely did) 'cuz it feels like a crutch. But when I want to do a magic heavy list it gives an extra bang for the buck, and is super fun to use.

  • I hated using the Icon as it felt like a crutch. But I also loved how it felt, how it gave something extra for your efforts of trying to cast a lot of spells. It felt like a machine gun of magic missiles.

  • Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Icon of the Inferno as-is is cut (barring a weird miracle involving it respawning in place of the already-designed banners - although the name might get recycled), but we're adding some other ways of getting your flaming/flammable on. ” Removing the Icon leaves a big hole in our magic phase, are we getting something else to double down on casting? Or is the downgrade by design to make ID casting spells less of a thing?

  • Come to think of it, Alchemy 1 kinda is an armour test... I just wish for broader use of the stat line with offensive spells and not just Res.

  • Quote from Crazydwarf: “I rarely find myself wanting to get into CC with any Dwarven ID unit.. The cost effecientcy is just not there.. Hobgoblins and slaves are way more fun and easy to throw in (which might be the entire idea?) ” My mind is here too. Hobbos, especially now, are so dirt cheap that you can just throw them at the enemy. They do similar damage to basic Infernal Warriors and keep their stubborn longer. And if the game goes such way that you have a spell to spare, you can make that …
