  • @Blonde Beer eh ... no? I see I switched ID with DE, but VS has "officially" been announced after that right. And after that it's the order I predict here I'm happy to hear your predictions tho.

  • PS Please remember that the only post that matters in this thread is the first post, so throw in your trash talk/ inside information / lies / guesses. Cause we're loving it.

  • This is what I heard guess: 1. Warriors 2. Demons 3. Dread Elves 4. Infernal Dwarves 5. Vermin Swarm (by now the design team feels so guilty of cherry picking evil races ......) 6. Kingdom (with nasty spirit force, cause evil mode was still on) 7. Empire (with more monstrous options) 8. Dwarves with Bockriders (not even in brackets; by now the designteam lost it's earlier guilty feeling ......) 9. Undying Dynasties (fixin the playability for opponents) 10. Vampire Counts (same) 11. Orcs and Gobl…

  • @Giladis, compliments, you excell in providing proces answers that are very light on actual information, hahaha. xox Quote from piteglio: “hi Mazuri my highly unqualified opinion is that the project should try to find its "voice" by first releasing legendary books for the factions that are still perceived to be too linked to other wargames. i think that's the case for WDG, DL, ID and VS. probably also SA, sometime soon. but from this point of view i would not give priority to EoS, or any of the …

  • Quote from Chack: “Quote from Calisson: “Quote from Chronocide: “Is there an offical T9A T-Shirt, or perhaps, bumper sticker? I kinda want one... ” There are official posters and logos and artwork.Your local customized T-shirts can print that. You may even sell them for profit. ” Where we can find them exactly ? in the download tab i've only found a poster ” good call. Shall we create a nice and easy to find folder with merchandise logos/prints/posters?

  • Quote from Calisson: “It exhausted the successive persons in charge before they could deliver. ” Due to lack of internal support/ mandate, I believe. At least when I was in the team. Important calls weren't made, so we couldn't move on.

Quote from Calisson: “It can be done, but that would be another policy: - once "god's view" is well detailed, to open it largely to would-be authors of books and Homebrew, probably with password access. - a team of reviewers would deliver the stamp kosher official or not to pieces of BG created by these external authors. Once the Pandora box is open, there is no way back. I would love to see that happening, but it's a decision to weigh and anyway, "god's view" is not sufficiently developed yet. …

Right, so this can't be done either. Thats it, with all these restriction I don't see any more options. Pretty sad self-inflicted situation.

  • Quote from Iluvatar: “Quote from piteglio: “i agree with Pelle - do we already have a draft or snippet of a "job advertisement"? ” Maybe this?the-ninth-age.com/t9a-project/join-the-team/?lang=en ” I couldn't find this page on my own on the website. That might be hard when looking for new people.

Quote from Calisson: “Quote from Pellegrim: “What are the options (not talking capacity) for 9th Age to set certain background perimiters, and have a writer write a book based in that setting? ” 1. One real author of fantasy book has been hired into the BGT. I hope he takes notes... 2. Anyone can write any book they wish in T9A universe. Like, anyone can write their own homebrew, using already released BG. Still, they can discuss with BGT, like @Ghiznuk and I have done for our Homebrews, so as t…

So, to further explore option to apply to bring attractive product to newbies; What are the options (not talking capacity) for 9th Age to set certain background perimiters, and have a writer write a book based in that setting?

  • This ^ is probably the biggest news item I have read in a while, thanks The full books were planned and promoted very enthousiastically (4 per year, Scrumm methods, etc). I must admit I was rather reluctant, as the amount of work must be huge, people will be less motivated over time, etc. So no big surprise it's taking longer, but good to know expectation wise. Think its good project adressed this officially. For now I'm taking two full books per year as realistic.

Quote from Giladis: “Quote from Pellegrim: “Thats something else completely then saying it can't be done. ” Did I I said it would be a last option kind of think. ” Let's say you chipped in heavy on why it shouldn't be done, wouldnt you agree? Mostly its easy to derail a discussion on options by introducing show-stoppers. Sometimes it's more interesting to lets such discussion evolve - might provide usefull info. Or not.

Thats something else completely then saying it can't be done. Which is what you claimed, during a brainstorm on options. I said it had to be weighed in a broader context if the benefits of the change could mean commercial succes. Which would be huge for the hobby. I didn't say it had to be changed perse. Its curious how you frame things.

Quote from Giladis: “Quote from Pellegrim: “What's at stake: 9th Age having a weaker position versus a company using it's rules as there own. ” It is much more than that. It involves how our files are used and distributed, how volunteer work and donations as treated, etc. The change of a licence has many domino effects that are best not disturbed in my opinion. Considering our Legal Team tells us this is the best licence for our needs I trust them. ” No, those parts would not be changed; only th…

Ah I see; I'll have to look into the French Facebook, sounds interesting; you multitalented dude. And disagree on the license question. It's no radical change at all - it's not that complex either. It's mainly a matter of risk assesment. What's at stake: 9th Age having a weaker position versus a company using it's rules as there own. What's the risk here? Really? Think about it? With the major loyalty of this fanbase? Not much. And there are no financial losses to be expected either. If anything…
