    I once played with 1500 points of skellies and 4 arises. I had 3000 points of skellies in a couple of turns. It was surprisingly effective at blocking of large portions of the field and it was fun to see a game of 6000 vs 4500. Won the game but never got to around to trying 2000 points of skellies that I planned to afterwards.

  • It does not look like a terribly difficult match up for you actually, as you said you can semi comfortably push on him and gain the upper hand in most combats, just make sure that he does not have both the grinder and bell in the same unit as that is not legal, which makes your ability to push at him even easier.

  • I might pick the south east then using the hill on the bottom east for cover and to mount an attack from. He still has house to dance around but I hate attacking ruins. Also if the hopters are jumping around it they are not chaffing, which the DH player has little of. You are possibly misjudging how effective the hold guardians, even with flmaing, are in cc, they do not win combat by much against the SE units and since they are the only unit that causes issues, they can be teamed up on.

  • I am all for trying in rules to different books to represent a more coherent game. It would be good to have same troops in different books, all demons have supernal and all undeads to have the same raising mechanics. Even all elves and dwarfs to have the same special rules. I don't understand the current need to have such differences as now, why are ID not sturdy? More same in different books is only a good thing to tie in the fluff of the game and make it easier for newcomers to learn the armie…

    Please make a report about it! It is a 15-5 if you go for a 15-5 but if you go for a 20-0 then it is a 20-0. I don't think he can actually shoot you off, or even shoot anything off meaningfully and he does not have those annoying msu units that you take no points off going through. Watch out for flame cannon in short range and you are set to take all his toys off. I'd say that the dawn attack is more annoying to you then a help, just as it can give him more space.   • I'd love to see some of those lists. I can't seem to get away from the demon and the pendulum. The pendulum without the daemon is iffy for the stubborn when alone and really without the daemon half the units don't work as well. Vermin guard then needs to carry the lightning rod and with a pendulum bunker you don't have many points left for a large unit with endless swarm, tempting as it may with a bell. The only thing I maybe don't find mandatory are the wheels over something like 18 jezzails. C…

    I'm wondering why now games are longer then they used to be? I remember playing my skink cloud list vs my friends empire. I remember us playing 3 games in 3hrs, which was quiet an achievement considering I was playing a skink cloud list with all the possible flee paths being taken into account. Why can I not replicate that now? Are we simply better players now and considering a lot more things when playing?     Allowing you to place them closer then 18 when not in cover or a more powerful short range attack could work like giving them lethal strike on top of their sylvan bows and master archers. With so many ap10 weapons out there presently why not have one more, it's not unseen for similar tools in other armies to have ap10.     I remember the time when everyone took the pendant dread lord or the disc lord but the pendant guy could be reliably one shotted. That was the sweetest time for the pathfinders, it was all downhill for them from there.

    @Hachiman Taro I don't usually criticise, I definitely feel that the project has done many many good things, however, mistakes always happen when many decisions are made and it suffices to say that not all can be correct. I only point to the reluctance to correct these same ones, even at times a stubborn denial of them, and a whole year to wait for certain players.     If the direction is to promote infantry blocks, why has core infantry been raised in price? I don't actually own a VC army, but did enjoy them when I borrowed then for the etc in 2018 so I don't have a personal bias here, but I do have some knowledge of the nuances of building a VC list.     All of the above said by funkyfellow applies. It is not too difficult to out shoot certain gunlines. But remember that opponents can use terrain to mitigate your shooting also. Very often our shooting can really help in a match but also it can be easily rendered ineffective by terrain and unit placement. Why I feel our shooting is lacking is mostly because of the type of lists that dominate. You have well armoured lists or lists that have way too many tough wounds to shoot off. These lists that …

  • Oh yes definitely what needed a reduction got it in all updates that I had a look at. It's all in the right direction and external balance has been shifted in the right direction again. However the random movement of the abom makes it hard to zone with unless tricks are used to control it and even then other monsters move in the right direction and then face the direction they want.
