Quote from Mick Boe: “I think that it should be clearified at which point in the siphon the veil phase the deamons are being summoned. Summoning deamons that have channel, in my opinion should not contribute more veil tokens in the turn they are summoned. (think imps, and hope harevesters). If you think im wrong please let me know. ” It is intentional that you can do it at any time you want (in the Active phase!). RAW this means summoned units with Channel can contribute to additional Veil Token…

Quote from JimMorr: “Quote from Ghiznuk: “Anyway, everyone knows those books are probably not OP, so by playing them in tournament you are probably not trying to cheat or to take advantage. Therefore I don't see why anyone wouldn't allow them – if you lost, you'd be warned, and if you won, congrats ! ” If ETC approved armies that are not fully approved by Project it would be an interesting turn of events ” What do you mean? I believe that most, if not all, senior staff member that is also a tour…

  • Forsaken ones are godly when you have other threats on the table for enemy to shoot at. When enemy ignores FOs for first two turn due to more immediate threats, they shine and bring the win home. This was exactly what they were made for - to give enemy a hard time choosing who to shoot. I find it especially good versus destroying enemy tactics/plans. People are afraid to charge them even with units that should take care of FOs on average. But because you can fluff a roll or Forsaken one does nic…

  • Quote from Exalted Champion: “@Krokz Didnt you play a successful sloth dragon list on tournaments? ” Many. Its in my Dragon list topic. Favor comes down to how you wanna play it. I have found Sloth good for jamming the Dragon forward and not being afraid to be charged. If enemy charges him he is T7 in combat. It feels a lot safer against Chariots and many other S5 attacks that are arround. Even S6 wounding you on 5+ instead of 4+ is a lot. Against Shooting I use FO cover and double casting of Ha…

You have to ask ETC. They decide which armies are allowed or not.

Quote from Eisenheinrich: “"The Steppe Mammoth must take (one choice only)" ” This way it is obvious that its mounted on Steppe Mammoth and not the Crew?

Quote from Vrinkl: “6 bows + catapult (aiming same target) ” This. @Eisenheinrich it is true that we did not say who gets Fist of the Makhar. Other monsters have their artillery installed on Chassis, Mammut doesn't have a Chassis so which model part gets Fist of the Makhar upgrade?

I've played with 25 Great Weapons and Gyula with Spirit of the Herd and Vanguard. I can't imagine heaving two because of space problems on the table. When they contact the satisfaction is real. They performed well, the question is if 3x9 with Makhar Lances is better. More threats, more Scoring.

  • Quote from Nasion "Demon": “I has to say i didnt lose my dragon single time on last tournament but it was close call two times. Except one game i was able to not hide him and push foward agressivly. Pretty satisfied about that, also FO and gigant make nice cower for him to avoid shooting. ” Yeah it is a very rare thing that shooting kills him. It almost always dies in combat, after making a total havoc on enemy deployment and movement. Then FOs come to mop things up.

  • Dragon is not for faint-hearted. Last weekend tournament (25+ players) I lost my Dragon Lord in three games and still managed to place third on the event.

IMO army is very prone to heavy armored units. Even if you Charge barbarians are AP2. This is why I give Shield Breaker to Gyula.

I've played with Lancers and they are fun. It feels like you can go 50% Core and still be competitive Dunno about worth of Turuls when they cost the same as Flayers with Recurve bow for example. And Giant Bow so far was okey for me because it won a shoot out against a Steam Tank but I understand that was luck on my dice. There is so many combination of units to test I feel a bit lost what to try next.

  • I would thought some of it is left on even while they sleep. Armor gives them that supernatural strength and that it is personal - it only works for you, thats why the selling of soul which is embedded in the armor.

  • Not all meta is the same. I can tailor a lists depending if I go on a tournament 100km north, south or west. Wining a tournament was always in some part about guessing the current local meta.

Quote from DemonLordDave: “Possessed are R3 on their stat line but R4 on the quick reference sheet. Which is correct? ” R3. When in doubt, unit entry stat line always has a priority over quick reference sheet.

  • Quote from Eldan: “Heavily armored warriors, bearing a star made up of eight arrows on their shields, who travel the multiverse etc ” Yes and those things are free IP and is why you see them in WDG. What is not free is what private companies have built on top of that and is not present in that original free IP. My intention with this is that you understand what you can expect to happen with incoming LAB armies and where T9A limits are. After all, T9A mission statement is 'classical fantasy genre…
