    @Sidereo Thank you for detailed and well thought of feedback! The issue of options is sadly one we have to tackle with changes, as we will not add more units. Already this army is a bit of special a scenario on its own. Lot of great ideas we shall consider for the next upgrade. Though canno't promise anything yet. Some answers I can try to give.     Barbarians were in our mind with Kinslayers. And yes Zombies are bit beyond to join a cult, and ofc they have already joined Covenant (Though recruitment process is bit different ) Non altered version works also for Goblins (played that once) and with a bit of strech to Skinks.     This sees our second Suplement book close to finishing. For me would be very nice to know how many actually play/build or even tournament play supplement books. I personlly really like to do them, but ofc all that energy could be used to support the main books too maybe seeing faster remakes.     They are unit that is herded to combat, but we streamlined the unit so it does not need the Herder units next to it. But that scene is essentially what makhar would do to break EoS (Their loving neighbour) battleline with fences and big infantry units. Find a suitable herd of Karkadans, steer them towards the battleline and then let them go to stampede towards the line. They are not part of regular army in any way but collected for the battle.     Is this in scope of this thread? How much does RT think we should aim to change designs before gold? How much big changes we should expect in final phase to stabilize book? on side note: Is the level of shooting power like O&G mentioned somewhere in guides? O&G can play army with 100% shooting models of 24"+ range.

    Finally got myself a game with Makhar. Used mounted goblins and orcs and super random monster pile as Karkadan Herd. (and many fillers in rear ranks) My list (Hidden Content) against (Hidden Content) Marching Columns and Breakthough I won 15-5 as I scored opbjective 1-0 Plan was to try out maximum avoidance and the Herd.     I'm on the other side of spectrum. Supplements should have more trickier and experimental mechanics as we can then implement on the main books if they work out. It is perfect place to try out some new stuff. So far I have not received feedback from opponents it being complicated. I plays differently and has lots of possibilities, but basics are not that difficult to understand.

    Played one more game yesterday with cultists against HbE. Lost ofc :). I played really silly and did not get my possesed to fight at all... Noticed something we might have a look at. - Dragon got was vanguard.. that was bit crazy. My opponent forgot to abuse frenzy, and would have been catastrophe if he had... - Occultism which is the "fluff" path of army, it did not work out at all, as units do not have champion the buffs and spells are hard to use.     I have time for one game tonight and was planning on trying cultists, as that is other Supplement I want to test more. What I gather on feedback is that Horse archer impact is not enough the overlap with flayers is still in favor of flayers, and Herd has not seen much plays at all. Also seems that big monster is needed to zone one flank (same with cultists). I'll check if I have time to build makhar list and try it out as we have less rounds to finetune this.

  • On magic area, tried Witchcraft in 5 games and the reduction of MR hit that quite hard (-1/-1 on last spell was not enough). Most armies had mr2 on 2 units and all spells are hexes so all casting rolls are actually -2 when it matters. This helps deathstars with augment compared MSU with hex.

    I think idol was very useful and maybe the MVP of non-daemonic parts. It was crucial in all games. Sadly KoE Scorpions killed it with 3 shots fired... but in SE game killed one unit of dryads and diverted a lot of attention to himself. In last game it had a dance with Gortach about opposing scoring unit and managed to keep that stupid model out of killing my whole army. on top of that Giant managed to kill one uinit of ambushers and one divert while doing that.     Tournament over. Was fun, but bit frustrating also, as I got always shorter end and army was sadly in some cases a bit slow to play due to daemon appearance.
