  • About new giant, he has big issues. Only T5, Rsr1 (2W max/turn), Arm 1 and crumble. If only he had Stubborn but he has 7W, this is could help, need to test. IMHO the best option is to add the skeleton crew, he doesn't benefit form UW since he is harnessed, but the crew does and the impact hits could help to deal more damages. 3 giants with skeleton crew cost 945pts (15 less than 2 battlesphinxes) Sphinxes have clearly more res (8vs5) and armour (3vs1) but the wound pool is clearly lower (10vs21)…

Another idea if you don't want to use the crown of wizard king is to use the book of dead. It's still useful to have a 12" DiotB aura even if it's a bound spell.

Yeah it is. I though it was only available path for the army. But may also get intesting spells. (best if we have Healing Waters ^^)

Well you pay 35-40pts for bounds spells which are much easier to dispel. Unless you have casting issues it's better to have the crown and our base spells (because me randomize the path) aren't that sad : - Cosmology : Altered Sight : +1 Off/Def/Aim or -1, low casting value (5+) - Divination : Know Thine Enemy : +2Off/Def/Agility, Aura mode hard to cast (12+), but suitable for a frontline model. - Evocation : Spectral Blades : reroll failed to wound, if the target is the same as Undying Will, the…

  • Quote from Norbaminiatures: “@setepenmentou: oh, that is an important question and I really like that you asked. Three sculptors have intervened but I have never been completely satisfied with the final result. So, finally, our chief sculptor has taken the project (the same as the machines), and we plan to make 6 cavalry products from March 8th, three probably for Bretonia that may be on sale on pre-orders possibly in April. I know that we have delayed it a lot but I need you to understand that …

Paired weapon of the greatness, you lose 2A but gain Str and AP. Scourge makes the Pharaoh a Res3 infantry killer, greatness is more interesting in other cases. But Godslayer seems to stay best option. But do not use Godslayer makes possible to use the Crown of Wizard Kings. He doesn't know the Herediteray Attribute, but you have another wizard (who can become Hierophant if all your other wizards died)

Problem with Sha is the waste of Undying Will unless you have the crown. This is a thing to take in account, and giving a 24" march bubble to general makes the crown more mandatory.

  • I have a question, will we gonna see mounted Questing Knights in plastic ? I am waiting before buying my second unit because I like a models.

@DanT and @namukesei. I may understand that you have both your opinions. I don't disagree about discussing but this is not the good thread for this. This thread is for tournament analysis not if the book is weak or not or if the process is bad or not. Please could you open a new thread or discuss by private messages ?

  • So Echunia this is not a spellbound effect like an attribute but a siphoning mechanic change. I guess this would change the Hierarch/Architect cost due to this. @Giladis could you explain us how the complexity could impact the cost ? IMHO it could help us to make better suggestions for LAB

  • Quote from Giladis: “So you are basically suggesting Fortitude under a different name. Considering the rules design rules of T9A if you ask for Fortitude under a different name you will just get Fortitude in the end. I somehow doubt UD players (myself included) would be happy with such a product from a future LAB. ” This is not a fortitude. A fortitude is a way to cancel a wound during a fight. Forbidden Rest is a way to cancel a wound in every turn while the unit is still on the battlefield. Ex…

  • Quote from Echunia: “Something like sacrificing veiltokens for each ressurect seems like a solid mechanic. Perhaps you only use 1 veiltoken to trigger standard/large units and 2 to trigger monster healing. This could also be made granular by giving the option of sacrficing more for certain units. As an example: Skeletons raise 3 wounds per token, can sacrifice 3 max. Shabti raise 1 wound per token, can sacrifice 2 max. Sphinx raises 1 wound per 2 tokens, can only be done once. ” Could be interes…

  • Our strength is magic reliability, not healing reliability If we put some "we'll be back" mechanic, DiotB shall be removed and replaced by a racial spell. But the mechanic could be : Forbidden Rest At the beginning of the Player Turn, for each friendly unit on the battlefield, roll a dice for each missing wounds of the unit, on a result of 6, this wound is cancel. An unit can't cancel more wounds than their resurrected value per turn. Hierophant rule change for : Hierophant Hierophant may pick a…

  • Quote from Palmu: “Good point on whether it's too much worse or not, but for me I meant that it's too harsh in that it's effecting the feel of the army. I'm playing Undead, whose thing is raising the dead, but I don't actually WANT to do that? It doesn't feel all that great, I'm essentially playing Fearless humans. ” It reminds me the 6th Ed when you didn't dare to raise skeletons because making a catapult shoot or make your warrior do their attack or being able to perform a charge was far bette…

  • Please keep calm guys. We can't compare 9th Age with warhammer since mechanics changed : magic, marching, unit composition with base costs. The logics aren't the same in these games event if they are similars.

  • If I may suggest a thing, it would be nice to have colossus options (I presume the Dreadsphinx and Hierotitan bodies are the same, it would be possible to swap the arms/weapons)

  • I Like that list, I would honestly add a battlesphinx for tank some threats. But it shall be hard to add.

  • Quote from namukesei: “@setepenmentou just infantry skeletons? or cavalry too? ” In general means all types of skeletons including cavalry, chariots and NG (even if they already have this rule)

  • It could, giving Skeleton in general Bodyguard would help to play anvil/hammer tactics
