  • Thanks for the update! I absolutely love this document, and have learned a lot from it since playing against expert players. I wish there could be more like these to explain ALL the rules It just becomes so clear with some good figures.

  • Interesting, I have seen more lists with two vampire counts on highest play, why is this? What are its strengths and weaknesses? How do I beat it as DE

Great post Il Maestro, I think this is also exactly the sort of agenda and role we as ASC have in this whole process, to just simply promote the interests of the DE players compared to others who might be more concerned about balance or mechanics. So this is already great, it is 'institutionalized' within the T9A project that the concerns and voices of the community are very well represented in the process. The more I see from the project, the less I find myself agreeing to the idea that the T9A…

Yes I am especially curious what solutions they will come up towards: 'closing the gap'. I find this besides a focus on our elite infantry the most interesting element of the direction of new LAB. Closing the gap is exactly what we will need as highly elite combat rank & file elves. Although movement does something important, it might not be able to provide all. I also expect to see a lot of support 'tools' and 'elements' to help us close the gap to combat while still retaining the close ranged …

Dear generals, Here are some more updates about the LAB process. I will start with the general process, with parts of the reference document for LAB task teams on how to approach the process. If you are interested in understand the general process, read the following: (Hidden Content) Status DE LAB At this moment the DE LAB team is at the end of the Mechanical Phase, working fast and effective. At this moment the team needs to solidify its game plan before new ideas (of which there are many!) ca…

  • I got some feedback from the LAB team to share, with one very cool piece of information (what is alpha strike?!). However, I am not sure this thread is the best place to post that update. I myself got misled by this thread as it was finished until last Tuesday, when a new debate started about the mechanisms between the different elf races. When I re-read all the posts here, (out-dated from last summer) I got a very different feeling, than from reading the other threads such as the Scroll spoiler…

  • Quote from DarkSky: “Congratulations! I honestly didn't notice. So glad to have you on the DE forum in an official capacity. I always thought your attitude towards the game, the social interaction, list building and painting were inspiring. Best of luck and don't let the trolls get to you! ” Thank you Commander of the Bleak Legion! Oke DE community I will delve into what sort of sneak peeks we can provide at this point in time. I will also start doing my best to keep you as informed, activated, …

  • You can count on that making the viablity of multiple infantry blocks in the DE LAB, is one of its most important goals. By re-reading the first post of this thread (I recommend all to do the same as well), I saw again that it is clearly stated in the design guidelines. After the discussion you started, and this question, I asked the LAB team about it. The LAB team confirmed that this is one of the most important goals for them. Of course, now it still has to be realized through design, a comple…

  • Yes we should make a non-ETC terrain creator or just do it ourselves again. It now is mainly providing tactical options, not really an immersive setting.

  • Great point, HBE and DE should become 4+ armoured as a baseline.

  • Haha wow, I was looking for a 'what are your painting' thread for the KoE but could not find it. Just stumbled upon this epic thread of 250 pages of creativity, by very far the most active on the whole forum! I am going to read it from start to beginning, simply amazing. Although I remain a DE player for the next year, I have started painting and modelling my knights! My initial plan is full knights, and I also acquired a unit of pegasus knights. My KoE force will be heavily mingled with DE mode…

  • Very cool, love how menacing the Hydra is!

  • Hmm, nice dilemma. I think I would go for terrain.

  • Thank you for the good tips @Little Joe, I did see some cheap Dremels online. I will test with the next horse how it looks without the shields, to decide if I should remove all the shields on the horses, or not. With the base I also finished my first knight! the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889 the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889

Okay? It looks amazing! As if it was supposed to be this way. What tool(s) do you use to achieve this?

  • I changed the green for red, orange, yellow flow. I completed his red cloth and lance (from this view) so when he is based, I can get an impression how the army will start to look like. I think the flag provides a good opportunity for a potential freehand or something more than it is now. But maybe it is enough. the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889 I am not sure I prefer any of my current shield designs over the shiny arm, so maybe you have suggestions to make the shield so a…

Quote from Glonojad: “Unlike my old P.Log, I decided that I will try to make some WIP photos to make the log more regularily updated - ideally I'd like to have something to show every Sunday. This time I'd like to present my Questors, who have two guests from Spain among their ranks the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889the-ninth-age.com/community/in…ab9b5e881a3765f0a0a563889 As You can see, I file away those absurd embedd…

  • Quote from Radian: “I just would nor recommend it (any number of 30 xbows) versus KoE, or other calvary list... telling from expirience ” I will test this soon against a full KoE knights army! I do have 2 academy banners, and a AP3/4 characters in each unit. Bolt throwers and perception of strength can also be great tools here. But I do expect my 120 bolts per turn do to actually some damage on its own
