  • Quote from Gingersmali: “Please could we avoid anything like WH animosity tests, this is basically the number one reason 8th Ed OnG played as Green Dwarfs, you cant build a game plan about movement And positioning if you can’t Be sure your troops will move. ” This x100. I detested the WFB animosity rules and one of the things that appealed to me about T9A when I found it was the fact this was gone. Also note that KoW got rid of even the (much lesser) movement affecting rules on Goblins that LeVi…

  • I mentioned I was working on something on wolves in the O&G Workbench thread, and you might have also noticed that a new Wolf Mount page appeared... Well, that was all a part of writing all of this! So if you want to know a LOT more about many of the wolf models in the T9A miniature library, we got you covered coverdsc_0247.jpg collectinggreen.home.blog/2020…lf-mounts-part-1-reviews/

  • Quote from Giladis: “There is no such thing as a feral chariot in the existing T9A rules set ” Quote from arwaker: “Quote from Remy77077: “Hmm, you can't currently take a Feral Orc on a Chariot though in the current army list, so these models are currently invalidated already though? ” I can. Check the character section. ” Ok I'm really confused where you're getting this from @arwaker !? No Feral Orc characters can ride Chariots either, that was the first place I checked when I saw this comment.…

  • Quote from arwaker: “But on the other hand, there are models for feral Orc chariots, which should not be invalidated. What do you guys think? ” Hmm, you can't currently take a Feral Orc on a Chariot though in the current army list, so these models are currently invalidated already though?

  • Hi @eyedigapony and welcome to the forums Have fun! I checked all the Shooting rules out (pg.61 in the Core rules) and I read this differently to Arturiki. I should note, am no expert though at all on the core rules and I've only played T9A Quick Starter games to date! So I could definitely be wrong here. However, from my reading of the shooting rules, I am pretty sure Multipart models with different shooting attacks (like a Gargantula with Web Launcher, which is taken in addition to the bows, n…

  • Quote from Gingersmali: “Maybe it just my dice, but I don’t think I’d miss the 6++ ” My currently painted Feral Orcs unit pre-dates them ever getting a fixed save! Back in the older editions their warpaint basically just gave them a pip of armour like it was light armour, & so adding Shields used to make more sense back then! So I've yet to even play them with this fixed save rule anyway!

  • Yeah I noticed that Feral Orcs = young Orcs in the currently published lore (since I helped collate it and get it onto the website!) ... and yeah like all the things you point out with the current rules for Ferals it doesn't make much sense... as Orcs become worse fighters as they get older.. then they get older still and become great fighters again (Iron Orcs). But I guess that can change. I don't honestly have a strong opinion on the current lore though. I've played & will play OnG armies in w…

  • Quote from BorkBork: “Quote from Remy77077: “Finally got my Wyvern done… Wyvern Front by Remy77077 (Agoners), on Flickr ” Very nice! I personally would have gone for a bigger base, but smart sollution like this. What brand is this model? ” Thank you! It's Mantic's "Orc Krudger on Winged Slasher": manticgames.com/games/kings-of…rudger-on-winged-slasher/ Listed in the OnG mini library here too of course (as I update that, so if I bought it, it's there!) In KoW he is supposed to be on a 75x75mm bas…

  • Quote from Shieldwolf Miniatures: “ DERYwZJ.jpg ” Thanks guys for the extra info! (& link to a blog I write for too! hehe, more on the way there actually from me soon, including some new stuff on some Shieldwolf models). That square base shown above on the Forest Brutgoth above btw is almost certainly a 100mm x 100mm square judging by my model! I measured it (as posted on the Gargantula mini library entry here) to be 90mm at widest point (front legs) and 120mm long nose to tail, which matches th…

  • Quote from ferny: “Is it the same model just different crew? ” It's the same design, but is larger and with different crew. I am guessing they just scaled up every part and re-cast it a bit bigger for the Orcs. Hopefully @Shieldwolf Miniatures can give more exact dimensions later

  • Too late, it's a Gargantula now, get your ID mitts off it, I already listed it here! the-ninth-age.com/community/le…80-miniatures-gargantula/ But seriously, I don't know the exact size of it, but I added some measurements for the Forest Goblin Brutgoth version (since I have one of those) and this one is a little bit bigger than that @ferny which should give you a rough idea.

  • Quote from Porko: “I love the totemic summons ” Cheers Porko! I really recommend these models tbh, I was really impressed with them. Very chonky bois, especially as they are huge lumps of metal, they feel so hefty. I could easily do a lot with more of these I reckon as the heads and arms are pretty interchangeable and lots of different poses are possible. A bit of converting to the bodies and varied positioning on bases and it would be a lot of variety.

  • Thank you @finet! Yeah I've seen people do huge rock bases and things like that, but the current look of my whole army is "no terrain on bases whatsoever" and I like the look of the simple green bases for me, so I don't want to try that for now... But don't worry I've got another Wyvern model to come that will fit much better on the 50mm base for T9A too though anyway

  • It's a few weeks away but I'm working on something for @collectinggreen 's site.... collectinggreen.home.blog/ 50078127583_26c94eec25_c.jpgDSC_0241 by Remy77077 (Agoners), on Flickr

  • Discussed this a bit on PMs earlier with Little Joe but I've been trying to come up with a way of handling 3D design makers and official print shops etc. etc. I'd love some feedback from anyone about how you'd like to see the Mini Library handling this best! Little Joe suggested I tag @Darguth too. It's obviously still a new industry and a lot of it is all a bit crazy and each company doing things differently... so it's hard to come up with templates for the Mini Library that fits everything. Bu…

  • Ok decided to make the 2nd post an updated list of what anyone has found so far... this can eventually become a part of the mini library I guess. However I will still keep this here on the forum, and add update posts here too, for visibility for now

  • ?? (Denmark based) The Miniacs theminiacs.com/tilbud-paa-3d-print/ This service looks really ideal to me, send them an STL file, they send your print back, exactly what I would be after potentially - but I'm only trusting google translate into English here and I don't know if they do worldwide delivery. Perhaps someone who speaks Danish could help fill in details about this company?

  • Great summary and like & agree with your thoughts there Gingersmali! Although I think the "complexity" of the book being in sheer number of options is a GREAT idea for the flavour of OnG. They would still be a much simpler book than stuff I've seen like DL anyway, even if you added more units. Having lots of entries rather than tons of specialised options would be fine imo. There's a lot of heavily armoured Goblin models out there too for an Elite Common Goblin type of unit! See these: collectin…

  • Done some updates to, well lots of the pages as usual, added a Scuttler Spider mount page too. Also done some updates to the digital design page even though it's not something I know a lot about the-ninth-age.com/community/le…table-miniatures-terrain/

  • And from a model that took me weeks to do, to some models that took me just a couple of days ... partly because they were already prepped and undercoated and paint-tested months ago as anyone in the OnG Work-in-progress might recall. But I got them started properly during recording this: youtube.com/watch?v=I0z52m83EQ8&feature=emb_title Here's the finished product the next day Very simple stuff really, but I'm pretty happy with them (could easily go to town on better highlights and making the cr…
