    I think we are here aming for same thing. And I think we have gotten very good feedback too. Also on case of why not hellmaw. Yes thematically this could work. But the armys play complexity would skyrocket. Summoning units which can after that teleport. I just see that could end up creating avoidance heavy army, something we did not want. When main elements of cultis army just change location and summon two units of daemons after that in proxmity of that location.

    We opted for 2 pathces rather than one. So we can have more playtest and feedback. Why we say "lets keep it minimal". If we make big changes it does not go gold, as we do not want to lock something that is potentially silly. Why lock it then. Beacuse you have designers, who might randomly change something as fundamental as bases if: - Some bribes us - Kisses us - Is angry at us - Some army has more round bases - We want to make even bigger bases - We just change everything and do not care about …

    I looked into the earlier vesions, and could not find any version that allowed Guiding manifestations on Symbiotes. OK found the bug! on beta hotfix: Daemon Symbiote: Removed the obsolete reference to ”Guiding” When did "Guiding" become obsolete? it is still in daemon book. I think I got it!     Maybe we view things differently. My point is that we are building on existing. For example we do not have BSB as it has many interactions Without it wr could reduce complexity a lot? That is not the case, as BSB is such a core feature we all know how it works. but i think you mean as standalone book and counting the overall of yet unknown interactions between units not yet learned, and ofc for new player this book looks like a nightmare :).     Why not add new? Just to make it easier for opponents to understand and remember how this works. New designs and special rules add complexity to opponent. some nice designs that are indeed fitting. Reason why we did not do specific sins is that currently it is possible if not beneficial. With archetypes it seemed to add options where sins would be more about limiting options so to speak.     Few items I found that could work. vc: cursed medallion. Could work for symbiote or if i read correctly with spell rolls too. Dragons? Re-roll to wound thauma/occultism spells and ofc H with mw2 ud: death mask of Teput. for symbiote to help his unit. Though would prefer to help cultists not possessed. og: pan of protection pinching.     While we summon daemons I would like to some extent keep two thigs about realism: Scale of power and fighting cababilities. So for scale a basic cultis should be less skilled than EoS infantryman of his people. I think this is represented with offensive and defensive and also with discipline. Discipline does not meanin willingness to die but ability to do moves on the battlefiels like combat reform and march test.     It was monday,back to work, neck is cramped, and then I find this wonderfull feedback and feeling happy again Finally some time to dig in. The arhetypes! Yes, the gain vs cost is just not good. 350pts is like a lot of hitting power from DL list. What would be the ideal? The posseed gain most, and cultists next to nothing, save few hits on turn 1.     Pool all veils together. Summon, conver, discard to 3 (or to 6 if tendrils). Like 15. Summon daemons with 5. left 10 convert to 3 dice. save 1. Also remember: After 13.F Veil Token Limits (discard down to 3) you pool size is 6 again. So ledger and stuff work up to 6.     Thanks for all the feedback so far! Keep it coming. The more you tell about games the better. You cannot tell quality of hammer by its colour, just by using it. Same goes to armylists.
