Quote from Estebanvol: “I think I know the answer to this, but I'm still asking because some of my friends still have doubts: Can anyone confirm that the kadim chariot on charge has to choose between grinding attacks and impact hits? Even if different model parts have impact hits or grinding attacks, in the rule of grinding attacks, it specifically says that a model (not a model part) has to choose between one or the other, so I think that the answer is no. Thanks! ” You are correct.

  • Quote from Serwyn: “But please don't take it as a criticism, I think the team made a good job. It's a detail. ” Well it is criticism, but there's nothing wrong with that. In fact it's good and needed :). I still think your idea is a bit more complex as its not a basic rule, but as you point out, the increase in complexity is not enourmous. Quote from Serwyn: “if you compare to the Vassal Chieftain for example, who doesn't bring that much to the game compared to a regular champion but add a lot o…

  • Quote from Serwyn: “A quite simple rule would be "When distributing ranged hits, half must be distributed towards the model", which in game isn't really more complicated to apply than an additional -1 to hit. ” Not quite true. -1 to hit is a basic game rule (soft cover). "half hits must be distributed towards the model" does not exists in the generic game rules and no other model has something similar (not to say that could not happen in future LABS). -> It IS more complicated, and the LAB team …

  • Quote from berti: “Soft cover was taken to reflect the protection of the unit inside, but in no way the bastion itself could ever have soft cover from itself. ” Yes, but it was also taken to show that the thing is made to withstand "normal" shooting. To take this example: Quote from Masamune88: “I invite you to step outside the building you are in, house or otherwise, pick up a rock and throw it at the building and tell me it was hard to hit. Or at least hitting it was harder than hitting a huma…

  • Quote from CariadocThorne: “Regarding the number of hits, remember that even hitting on 6+, they are getting 3 hits for each 6 rolled if they have slaves nearby. Even a minumum size unit of 12 is averageing 6 hits, and probably 3 dead elves. from 165pts of core shooting. That means they are probably killing close to half their own points worth of Elves in the first turn round of shooting even while hitting on 6+! I don't think any other army even comes close to that at the moment. ” Minor nitpic…

  • Quote from berti: “And how many of the people doing pricing and playtesting were ID players? This would propably result in the same off points with most armies pointing done by players of this army. Obviously something went wrong on this first step. How could it be improved in future? ” I for one trust the people designing and pointing the LAB's to not be influenced by "ouh, I play this army, I try to get it as overpowered as I can so I have an edge for the next 2 months!" and rather stay as neu…

  • Quote from Traumdieb: “We had this discussion before. ” I know. But if you can bring it up once more, I surely am allowed to respond to that again You said: Quote from Traumdieb: “Mask works the entire game. Mask is the only bearers model thing that works allways. ” Which is just not true, as pointed out. Quote from Traumdieb: “Starfall chart is still situative. It only works vs. Alchemy, Pyro and Flamming banners and has no use when opponent has no shooting. Compared to Mask that allways works …

  • Quote from Traumdieb: “Wyrd stone is about the weakest item that works on gogantic. Only working really well vs. an opponent with one shooter since it absorbs the first hit from whatever. Mask works the entire game. Mask is the only bearers model thing that works allways. ” Starfall Shard from SA. Though to be fair, it is a slimbook not a LAB. Yet, items affecting the bearer's model (even on gigantic mounts) is something the guidelines for the game can see happening. That is not to say that the …

  • Quote from Rothulf: “I know, but it would be a better tool to know what is played. We may think battleshrine mount is in a good spot, but I am pretty sure there is no BS used as mount for adepts or apprentices, this is something that might be looked at... ” I mean yeah, we could make the additional work (and to be fair, it is not THAT much additional work per instance, but a couple dozen instances, which over the long run does add up). But I still don't see the point if it can not be changed. Cu…

  • Quote from Chronocide: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Quote from Chronocide: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Agility can't go above 10. ” Yeah, I feel that limit is a nerf for elves.A elf prince with a Spear for example, has to pay normal price for Spear even when it doesn't add the same to Agi that it would to a dwarf with a spear. ” ? Elf Princes are Agi 8. Spears take them to 10. That's... still +2. ” Hmm, well the SE one is base agi 9. Forgot they don't all have the same stats. ” And the SE prince is…

  • Quote from Rothulf: “I'd like to see the mount options related to the rider. Especially for chimeras with or without wings (see if those are used for Chosen lords or only for barbarians). Also for the Battleshrine mount, it would be nice to see the use as a Master sorcerer mount or a lower one. ” The files are created as armylists can. To take your examples: The wings are bought for the chimera, not for the character on it. You pay the same for wings independent on whether a Chosen Lord or a Bar…

  • Quote from Wesser: “Its not true however. Data tracks how often something is used, not if a list featuring it does Well or not. If every VC player took a Colossal Dragon and lost every game in every tourney than VC might be buffed, but the Dragon nerfed. And even then it is not an exact science. Last patch for example gave a Price hike to an option I havent actually seen in a list in the entirely of 9th ” This is not true anylonger. For the past update (last year) you were right. TA "only" colle…

Quote from berti: “In general I would avoid any effects that just bypass any layers of defense other armies pay for. Making it harder to wound, or hit or anything....ok. Inflicting damage that can´t be mitigated is not realy fun. And things that kill a caster are for sure not a good idea. ” Okay, then the 2 of us are pretty much on the same level here One could have those attacks be distributed as shooting to not allow characters to be hit (by the way, that was actually what bothered me the most…

  • Quote from Danimoth: “I think the Infernal Bastion + March and Shoot really requires consideration. Power level aside, it opens an opportunity of a really powerful shooting combined with kiting. When deployed your back turned to the enemy and with a banner of speed, you can move away from the enemy 11" each turn and still keep shooting, while having the option to turn back to them and advance 4 inch to receive charge and also shoot/s&s when you are going to be caught. This is something fairly un…

Quote from berti: “There was a reason the flys in DL army were so broken and hated. ” Though to be fair, there was more to it then that, effectifness and price played a huge part here, too. The general idea of "retribution effects" of course may be liked by some or not, but I'd wager to bet that most people would not classify that part of slayers nor the current Bloat Flies as "universally hated" or "destroying the fun in the game". But I do understand that there's also some crowd just loathing …

Quote from setrius: “Maybe something like this Last Stand 7+ 24″ Agugment, Permanent. Model with under Last Stand spell is removed as a casualty during the Melee Phase due to a Melee Attack, it must immediately, before removal, perform a single Close Combat Attack with the following rules and restrictions: The attack is always resolved with Strength 3 and Armour Penetration 1. A unit cannot be affected by this spell more than twice. That is all ” Possible but I'm not a huge fan of "permanent spe…

Depending on the rest of the book maybe something like: Augment Every killed model may immediately perform 1 attack. Most likely only killed in close combat to not have attacks outside of the combat phase happening. This spell very well might be to niche again, but would help medium sized units the most, specially after they already got a couple of losses from shooting/magic beforehand. It does not offer protection per se but could possible last 2 combat phases and reduce the incentive for the o…

Quote from duxbuse: “I dunno, elves are supposed to be at the top end of magic proficiency. HBE have H spell and drain magic. ” Currently, who knows whether that will be the case with their LAB. And that argument would also lead for at least 4 other armies receiving a second H spell :). Quote from duxbuse: “I dont think everything needs to be wrapped into the one spell. ” I agree here. Imho H spells should not be an auto-include either, they should be slightly more powerful then the average gene…

  • Quote from hypnotic: “Slave base doesen't metter, but they got Insignificant. Is it neccesery with Infernal brand already on dwarfs? ” While it doesn't matter for the Infernal Dwarves themselves it still shows something very important. Vassals may be beneath the dwarves, but they're still leagues above slaves!

  • Uploaded. @Just_Flo note that the list from "Alexander Brykov" lacks ammunition on both Rocket Batteries. For the Artillery: From the points it would need to be "Ether Cloud" (as it's the only one free) but I did not note it down as such as he could also just have miscalculated. For the Engine: It's the same. So in your judgement whether to add the entries for "Ether Cloud".
