  • Free the fluff Gil, free the fluff.

  • Quote from 87axia: “Thank you for the quote Marcos! As a bretonnian player, I'm all ears for suggestions about possible new models! P.s some of you may not like the animal visors on my knights, I've already prepared an historical set to make everybody happy! ” Will this be a possible reward for the KS? I love everything about your entire range of minis except the visors. If you just make the heads separate pieces so I can use my own I’ll definitely become a backer

  • Quote from Taki: “I think those 75 mils would make great statues and terrain ” Yeah the green knight painted bronze and covered in verdigris and vines would be a pretty awesome terrain piece/objective marker

  • Those look great, September is too far away!

  • Dangit, nothing good happens in 2020

  • Awesome!!!

  • Hi @LastSword is there any expected ETA for when us poor non-backers (I backed your first KS though) can get our hands on the Dragon and Rider? The more I look at him, the more I want one!

  • Atlantis miniatures has a nice unridden pegasus

  • coolcoolcool. It’s special. You love it. Got it. As an ACS member I will take note of your fiery defense of the Lance. You are not alone, and I can almost guarantee that this formation will make it into the FAB, most others also consider it iconic. Every once in a while I test the water to see if people still feel this way or if people are starting to get sick of the fact that Lance formation = weaker knights and realize they don’t really care about the long missle-like shape of the formation an…

  • Gotcha the analogy is less about the child comparison and more about familiarity bias. We all have them, the comfort we feel for the things we’re used to often stops us from being open minded to other possibilities. The McDonald’s example is just one I’ve witnessed on a number of occasions that drives me crazy. “What’s your problem kid!?!? That burger I gave you is half chuck, half ribeye and has been painstakingly seasoned!!!”

  • Quote from echoCTRL: “Better movement, easier to maneuver, not being undead, full rank, better Discipline all count for something ” Easier to maneuver is subjective, the busses can be easily blocked from wheeling by light troops and cowboys, and marching while wheeling is still difficult as your back ranks move an awful lot during even a very small wheel.

  • Quote from Kapten Kluns: “Quote from Ludaman: “Highly mobile the cap is 800. The cap is much larger for sitting ducks. Also, what a bummer that the “Lance formation” in it’s current 3 wide bus has been around long enough that people consider it iconic. I started playing in 5th edition with the original lance which was pretty cool looking (but really annoying to maneuver in game). The current 3 wide Lance was an unfortunate compromise that people just sort of became accustomed to. It’s like kids …

  • I disagree with you here, I think a single rank of 5 wide grail knights all with unique heraldry, weapons, helms looks fantastic and perfectly represents them in the same way blood knights are represented.

  • Quote from Glonojad: “Why is the cost of musicians for Light Troops not reduced? ” Hey pandora, I have some very nice boxes here you might be interested in. Would you like to try opening any of them? Check the quality of the hinges?

  • Quote from Cultivator: “If you want 9th age KoE fluff you don't have to wait for the LAB I can give it to you with full accuracy now. (Hidden Content) There, you now know everything you need to know about KoE. 9th age style. Quote from Chronocide: “"holy and just, but only for some" is kinda the KoE motto. ” Is this KoE or late Bretonnia? ” OMG! I’m dying! best lampooning of T9A fluff I’ve ever seen

  • Greebo games new Kickstarter. It’s for fantasy football, but Orcs and giants and other goodies are easy to convert. I bought into the greebo Knights KS and there were some great metal minis, very high quality casting. kickstarter.com/projects/greeb…rcs-ferocity-and-football

  • I’ll repost my assassin idea from the other thread: Hidden: offered as an upgrade for specific units. Build your assassin however you want (I don’t have any designs to offer for his actual stats and abilities). At the beginning of any Player turn or at the beginning of any Combat phase your Assassin may appear in any unit you have spent the points to upgrade with the hidden rule (maybe a cap at 3 units?) it creates a whole mess of fun tactically as it allows you to pop your assassin into combats…

  • Obviously some abstractions have to be made, especially considering that half the swords our minis are swinging around are wider and taller than they are... If a unit is armed with a spear, that should represent a weapon considerably longer than either a hand weapon or a great weapon regardless of what the mini is armed with. You are correct that larger sized races like ogres should probably gain a benefit to their reach and you are also correct that in a skirmish or duel the individual length o…

  • Spit-balling some fluff: And the Lady spoke to Uther and she decreed. You must have Honor - My servant must never never strike an unarmed foe, never smite the weak! You must be Gallant - my servant would sacrifice all for the land and it’s people. Property, riches, life and limb, my servant must be willing to sacrifice all in service to the greater good! You must have Nobility - You must serve me Lord, for your life is owed to the land, In doing so your knights will serve you for they know that …
