  • I had to rework the thread. Now it has 2 polls

  • Posts so far: Quote from Remy77077: “1. Unsure tbh. They are very varied depending on which OnG 'race' you consider. So I guess that's one: Varied 2. None, I detest all GW "special characters" as in-game things. Having some characters in the lore / storyline is cool, but as soon as you put them on the tabletop it becomes dumb to me and tends to straight-jacket list building. The whole idea should be you make/name your own characters out of the character options in a list, and if you want to name…

Ah nvm. I read it as that they would gain +x disc. But it is only on tests.

How would Born to fight work on characters?

  • Well a change from Aegis to Fortitude would come with a reduction in points ofc

  • Well, he is supernal though :p Anyway, I don't need him to be a daemon eighter. For me he is created through shamanism. But aegis does suit him, imo.

I like FiER from fluff coming from the urge to get into action. I invision orcs pushing to the front to fight.

Could always restrict it to supporting attacks from second rank. Also if green tide dies, maybe Iron Orcs will finally gain 2 attacks ;P

It might be to strong though. If you have a unit 5x5 with these weapons and you put green tide on it you already get 30 attacks. If you move to horde formation and green tide a unit of 8x4 would dish out 40 attacks.

I could see some new forms of devastating charge. 1. Devastating charge (Fight in extra rank). This is due to the eagerness of orcs to get into combat. They swarm foraward, and push in. 2. Devastating charge (Can make one additional supporting attack). I like this one a lot, but it only works for paired weapons.

  • I like changing Aegis on Young to Fortitude. Explaination is almost already there. They just emerged from their brood pit/pile/thingy. While in there they become full fletched Orcs. We could say Young Orcs still have the lingering effect from being formed.

  • It's fine, It has been chosen, is it the path that we take.

  • Whamme, please stop with poiting people to game workshop lore just because they prefere the tribal system (as in each type of orc is a tribe). It is possible to make lore that has these different tribes and still be unique and it's own. Your reply should be more in line with: "Even though I understand your sentiment with the lagacy background. T9A wants to make their own lore and choose to divert from the different orcs come from different tribes approach.". Your only reply to people voicing the…

  • Part of the reason that Warhammer appeals to so many is its familiarity. The background is loosely based on a mishmash of history and legend, with original characters thrown in. Well, 9th age does not want the the old world and all its inhabitants to be destroyed and wants to continue moving the setting forward. The leadership is requesting input from the community on the backgrounds of their armies by following this short questionnaire. 1. If you had to choose five adjectives to describe your f…

  • I agree that we should rework born to fight +1str if we get all Orcs to have str 4. But for the love of God, don't make it this random. We already have Trolls that sometimes lose you the game because they don't do what you expect them to do. Also I would be in favor of removing aegis from feral's in return for point reduction. The only real usefull feral safe is the save on characters.

  • Quote from Baldin: “Sorry for my outburst, but yes it was out of frustration. I will make one more post with my story. But I must say @WhammeWhamme your responses to questions about the age system have also been quite shallow. You ony explain that: Age based: Feral orc Common orc Iron orc You have never explained why this system is a good system. Why do orcs change how they fight. How does this age system match Orcs? This: Increasingly convinced orc society organised by birthgroups (broods) - co…

  • I don't ask for community to vote. I ask for community input to be part of the process.

  • It depends what is seen as valid reasons. When it comes to new lore everything is valid. According to what is said in this forum, if the project makes Dwarfs come from the swamps and not the mountains and makes them slander and tall there is nothing wrong. It is new lore. Making dwarfs come from the mountains and be short and stout would only be stealing.

  • Look at the ID LAB for example. It was released, after approval of all the boards. Community has voiced concerns, both in favor of some of the stuff and against. Now feedback from the cummunity has some part in changes made to that book. So if rules are susceptible to change due to community voices and lore is not. Make that statement clear.
