  • Well to be fair I'd also give my vision of the book... I'd like our book to be much more simple... I would separate the book in 3 parts: - Dark gods servants - Units that failed to satisfy the gods and have been doomed - Feldraks and their related stuff Dark gods servants would gather most of the usual units: warriors, chosens on foot, on horses, on large mounts and on chariots plus the Doomlord and forsworns, they would be followed by 2 mages: one specializedin hexes, the other in buffs...   • Just remember guys, our book is currently seen as one of the strongest... You cant ask for buffs only, if you call for a boost of some unit, you need to be sure it is not performing as well as the other units in the book... Otherwise you need to nerf something else on that unit. I could say "we are strong, all units need to have +1S and AP", that would never be allowed ... But if I say "Fallen need to be more glass canon and have S5 but R3" ... that might be ...

  • @Rellzed As I said, I also believe the boo needs some changes, but I cant help with that. Allowing those would mean that the rule team needs to think about those, and I prefer them to focus on the new books. There will always be something to change for every single book, if we want the project to move on we need to accept this. And to be honest if I had the power there would be a lot I'd change in the book.

  • @saint_barbara I currently have no idea about that... I asked it because I was willing to raise the model per unit cap of CKs to 6, and maybe do some other changes of that kind, but I am still awaiting an answer. I do hope that this could be the kind of change that would be allowed...

    I asked for some unit limit changes, waiting for the answer. I was mainly aiming to be able to field units of 6 chosen knights, and to get rid of the 4 units of chosen max limitation. I might ask to allow units of 2-6 chosen knights... if I get a green light on that kind of change...

    To be honest I believe the book is in a good state at the moment. Last update we were scaried of nerfs and beside the doomlord... we.had few.. We even had quite a lot of buffs that allowed more lists to become competitive. I expect the same this year, with small nerfs if needed (not sure the books need some) but mainly a focus on chosen and chosen knights. Am I happy with everything the book offers?   • Regarding the FDE, I find it hard to raise its price... Sure it is common in the actual meta... but the datas came in right after the ID release and I really believe people took feldraks to counter that book. Beside that I am surprised by the amount of Burning Potents, and it seems funny to see that those people also took FDEs, so they have something strong against you if you have no fire aegis, and something strong if you have fire attacks...   • What I would find nice is weaker warriors but with bigger units. Something like losing 1 attack but having units of 20 rather then 10. Barbs are supposed to be our bigger units but somehow I am not satisfied with them, Res 3 and low armor save is annoying, especially with the 25mm base. But to be honest I like the current balance of our book, core are doing quite fine. The main issue imho is the internal balance of chosens and chosen knights, those need to be reviewed and I hope a cost reduction…

  • Anyway, if there was no mandatory core... you would still need scoring units. Would you take 10 chosen as scoring that have to stay around the objective and lose efficiency? or just do that with 10 warriors and keep your special unit for the difficult job ? Also if that happened, some special units would probably skyrocket, knights for example would be the new jack of all trades, mobile scoring unit with a strong damage output that can help during the game and focus on the objective in the late …

  • I like 10 men warrior units as scorer, they are quite resilient and will be able survive most small and medium threads. That allows special units to do the nasty job...
