Quote from baldargent: “I would give him the ability to take a veil token to thé opponementif it is around 24" enemy sorcer. ” Oh I like this. He took the old Tablet with him!

Quote from Fnarrr: “- Having immortals be balanced between offense and defence is a good idea for the unit - specialized slow infantry is generally a bad idea. ” I think that would homogenize the game in an awful way. Having more contrast between units and having their power budget organized more extremely, I think, will make more interesting emergent game play (of you playing your other stuff so that this one extreme unit can now shine).

How about setting enemies' baseline AP to 0 when fighting them? AP from weapons would still apply. Pretty specifically aimed at monsters, that.

Quote from Drakkanor: “A question, is there a specific reason why the Great Bull of Shamut costs less than a dragon? Stats wise it seems slightly better than a dragon ” I've always thought of it as because dragons fully negate the elf's weakness of strong defense, so the bull has to be cheaper or more durable 'cus it takes away one of our strengths (of durability).

Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Quote from Jarec: “Give it 360 back and make it lose March and Shoot, hell make it even Unwieldy. It'll feel more like a thing you push to a place to "deploy" at off turn, rather than a scaffolding that you run around pushing and spinning full speed while shooting at the same time. ” That isn't quite the intent here. It's a moving fortress. Dwarven Holds castles up; Infernal Dwarves makes a moving castle, because where the Holds stubbornly defend their turn, the Inferna…

Maybe, as a Marmite rule, it should be an option? Or have another, wholly different thing to choose from on the same unit?

Was looking through some older stuff and found some fun tidbits that didn't found their way in the book. Can these be shared what they once were during the development? the-ninth-age.com/community/in…f486745c3938fba31aca05e2a the-ninth-age.com/community/in…f486745c3938fba31aca05e2a EDIT: There were also a line about engineers making war machines more reliable, but more prone for bigger explosions when misfiring. What was that about?

I really wanted the Lammasu to have more of an anti-magic role, but I guess that fight is already lost. After that, the rule it now has, seems way more suited to someone more on an centerpiece for an army than just a special unit who has a few spells to sling. Vermin Seer comes to mind first. Couldn't his tricky demeanor be just be abstracted to a simple malus to dispel or something? I just don't get why a single special, albeit quite expensive one, unit needs to have such a deep and literal rul…

Quote from Slayer Zabojcow: “So Infernal Dwarf mass-produced armours are better than handmade armours by Dwarven Holds? Dragon-forged armour is heavy armour, of course it provide 2++ against fire but overall 4+>5+ so it is ok. Still it doesn't feel right in my opinion that ID core troops got better armour than DH King's Guard unknown.png It doesn't sound like only enchanted armours should be finest Of course DH didn't get their LAB yet so we can argue that DH LAB team can make even better plate …

I was under the belief that the ID armor were mass produced enchanted armors. So you essentially get a weak Basalt Infusion for your guys.

  • Quote from Just_Flo: “Would you be okay with a price increase on the train for it loosing that restricting rules? ” The Industry point limiter? I would take that trade. But that also begs another question. Why point increase for just getting rid of a limiter? Shouldn't units be made in the first place so that they are balanced without one? Does that mean that by always topping your Industry point limits you have the most cost efficient units? EDIT: I misunderstood

  • -The weapon is balanced Maybe. -The weapon is flavourful Yes, it suits the image I have of it, a fantasy shotgun firing a lot of low impact shrapnel. -The weapon is too powerful/OP No. -The weapon is too complex Yes. Could do without re-rolling 1's. -I hate to play with or against it No. I quite like it. I think it is the best representation of the gun so far. -I want the S5 AP0 back Maybe. It sure would make it pretty unique monster hunter shooty unit. -I like them being MSU as a concept Yes, b…

  • Seeing the new OnG Giant and his body slam attack and always trying to think ways how to mitigate spell damage to naked R3 elves, I thought that what if your regular magic missile hits would be Area Attacks? I've not done much math on this, but lets say a 1D6 magic missile would be 1x5 area, and 2D6 a 2x5 area. This would make minimum damage to your super elite five-man units when flinging the spells all willy-nilly, but also would be really devastating if you actually can manoeuvre yourself to …

An attack with Multiple Wounds will have effect and you cant ignored. Example: Warden Faeries (1) You can ignore one wound suffers in shooting and close combat attack.... bla, bla, bla. Post

I'm no DH player and have not read any of the threads, so forgive me if this has been suggested already. I'm an ID player and was about to mention this in their threads, but instantly realized it would suit more the regular dorf folk. Battle Focus for armor saves, for every 6 you roll for armor save it saves one unsuccessful one. A some sort of disciplinary brothers in arms situation where the dwarf next to you also watches your back.
