  • @Gomio OK. Can someone compile all ideas in a summary to not create 2 similar spells?! I personally love the idea to smoke the battlefield. Maybe create an opaque wall for 1 turn that give soft cover to units in contact to the front of it.

  • I just give my 2 cents In fact give a nerf to the range is a problem for ID player if he wants to put it on his units to benefit from soft cover/hard target. And if he puts it on enemy units to nerf range, he ll have more problem to hit him.

  • Maybe a - 1 to hit is a bit flavorless. If you want something to help ID to go in combat. Something like magmatic push : All friendly units at 6 move forward 1d3 / 1d6 inches

  • Short range because of ID have small range. We can put a 24 inches range. Maybe a minimum range for all shooting weapon. Like 12 inches. It's a versatile spell with pro and cons if you do it on allies or enemy. I don't know if it's a good idea but it's my 2 cents.

  • Why not something like this : Smoke Bomb 18inches 9+ Universal Target is considered like an opaque terrain and is in soft cover. If the unit get - 6inches for all its ranges attack. And - 1 to hit with close attacks.

    Maybe bastion's speed needs to be set compared to number of models in unit, like that : 20+ models : 3/9 20-10 models : 3/6 10- models : 3/3

    Just a final point on bastion. Remember that a 25man bb unit plus a bastion plus some stuff to put flammable token plus slaves to put bf plus some magic is 1200+pts. It's a combo. And not just one unit. 2 Mortar plus 2 engineer in EoS are just 620pts to have a potential of 70hits s3 ap1 and 2 big hits with 48inch range.

    Someone that think new ID book is complex should never play Infinity... I can't understand what you want for new AB, just units without special rules ? And 1 or 2 army rules maybe ? If we do that HbE = DE, DH = ID and maybe other too. We have three AB wich have special rules to make all units differents. That's cool for ETC players, and that's cool for fluffy players too.     The situation is clear. Slim will be released in a short delay so players could build some lists and say to RT what is good or not. So we can have some changes before LAB comes and maybe that we could print it and keep it for a year without other changes. But maybe I'm too optimistic... And even if i want slim to be released first, I will never say that fluff or art isn't important for T9A.
