The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is available! You can read all about it in the news.

  • Interesting thought, they are large and res 5 with light troops and the same move speed as the infantry, perfect screening tool with a punch? they can shield the elite infantry while zone-ing. Play the LoS game well and they can charge with the infantry or something next to the infantry's target.

  • Interesting though I expected lightning attacks

  • General Nastiness of vs your army nasty?

  • Quote from Ehakir: “And we did a list review! youtu.be/iuGkb-bBytI ” Looked at it, pretty funny to see my own list reviewed. Haven't been a playtester for a while now though.

  • Quote from Pellegrim: “The 1.1 version of the lists are here! With small adjustment to Koen's list, Sebastiaan's list, with Lowie's list and the reserve list in there! dropbox.com/sh/7pty0iqx42j7b52…e9xiD0TBqtYjkfTQV4Ga?dl=0 ” here

  • Quote from Nicreap: “Ah yes, the we broke the rules the first chance we got because your army was overperforming, but we will then spend the next year refusing to back up our claims.... ” We are passing on the concerns but as stated before by @fjugin, its unlikely the H will change. But "unlikely" is not a hard no.

  • Quote from Slayer Zabojcow: “UD are treated just like every non-LAB book now - welcome to the "Golden Age" of 9th Age It would be much more fair if every book would be allowed to get some changes once in a year but ehh... ” there is simply not enough people to do all books at once or in a faster pace. With ID, DE and VS in various Lab phases, the next book has to wait for a bit. Imo with 3 book in Lab and 2 done, its going pretty fast.

  • Scratch that, reading is hard....

  • Quote from arwaker: “If you ask me, the special rule should maybe be something like: In the first round of combat, opponents can't use aegis or fortitude rolls against hits caused by the Judicators. To me they seem to be specialized in landing singular devestating hits, even if the victim is a honourable noble member of the DE community, one that is likely to utilized supernatural protection. ” Flat out cancelling it is probably to much but re-roll successful saves might be a thing.

  • Quote from Bulls Eye: “Well lets see what the Dutch gouvernement will do tomorrow. I keep my fingers crossed. ” Friday Quote from Sander: “I read in Dutch media, our Belgian neighbours only need quarantine if they visited the western part of NL more then 48 hours! ” So get in, play games, get out!

  • I guess for some it works, for others it doens't. I prefer to use my magic dice on units that work fine without them as well. Skeletons and NG in my games get often deleted in my local group and magic does not always solve that issue.

  • Quote from Pellegrim: “C'mon boys, All Dutch tournaments declared auxiliaries (Except Giants, maybe later) as welcome, to boost variety; so that's just bad luck for @umbranar. If we hear/ see crazy stuff about them, we'll call 06-9th-age-hyper-balance team and sound the alarm! ” Wont be less fun or exiting and its just a preference. As it stands now, I dont forsee any issues. Think my main issue for my first tournament is playing fast enough. But I come prepared and, who knows, maybe the suppple…

  • its not that bad anymore but I won't start the raise nerf discussion here, feel free to read up on it on the UD subforum

  • Quote from GSbasic: “Quote from umbranar: “Quote from AlWeeks: “no I'm wrong Ruthless efficiency is the AWSR, so this must be a replacement for it that is subtlety different ” might be that ruthless efficiency is first round only, and artistry of death makes it work in every round.Or since putting the "dread" in dread elves might be a thing, something to do with fear, discipline or breaktest being influenced by kills this unit makes? ” would this be a good or bad thing? ” either could be nice

  • Well it is very true in tournaments, UD presence has plumetee since the nerf. Still its higher than the number of SE and BH armies. The weird thing is, the big offenders from before the nerf are now played even more since healing chariots, shabti or cataphracts simply more effective than trying to keep skeletons, skeleton cav or NG alive.

  • I have the opposite opinion but it does not bother me to much. But I rather play and play against the core books.

  • Quote from Slayer Zabojcow: “I find it funny when someone complains about Fear while his army is fully immune to it. ” The trade off is crumbling, no charge reactions except hold.

  • Quote from Drakkanor: “UD have lost their resurection powers last December ” Its a lot harder but not impossible, you have to let go of the 2 dice machinegun magic phase and start 3 or 4 dicing unless Cosmology with hourglass I guess.

  • Quote from Pellegrim: “Seems you missed the four runes on the axe of the last Dwarven list ” TBH, I noticed it had 4 instead of 3 but I hadn't checked the rules ;). Quote from marcema: “Quote from umbranar: “Checking and analyzing the list I found that "Calvin Sies" his Kuulima's Deceiver has no Magic Path mentioned. Found no other errors ” Does it have to aith protean magic master? ” Unless I am missing something, no. I was missing something, it has!
