So besides the name, what else changed? And how does this compare to T9A: FB - the big brother? Plenty! Where to start? Maybe at the beginning smile.png Our target audience: While we continue to cater for beginners with predefined army lists, we also want to look after the more experienced players that are looking for a quick game. You will be able to play with a more advanced but still streamlined ruleset and create your own army. It would also allow less experienced people to grow from a small…

Quote from jirga: “Different unit sizes is a good choice. I could see me playing 4500 point games with lists like this. ” Quote from Jomppexx: “Quote from jirga: “Different unit sizes is a good choice. I could see me playing 4500 point games with lists like this. ” I believe this was intended for 800-2500 points... You might be hard pressed to get to 4500 with just the options we see here I wonder how the monster option for the åsklander chief works? ” We have a reduced, streamlined ruleset so q…

Quote from Jomppexx: “Very exciting. Nice to see Åsklanders making an appearance even in the Essence of War Maybe we will see the other auxiliary armies too? ” Quote from Villon: “Quote from Garaz Zaki: “Quote from Villon: “Seems that we will have "options" to create lists? interesting ” Did you notice that the army list is a supplement? ” yeah! but if a supplement list have options... the main 16 armies, will have too? ” You will definitely be interested in what is coming to you over the course…

  • Quote from jirga: “I have a shining new OK army built mostly from 54mm gladiator figures with added bits from GW ogres. If there's a need for pictures of non standard ogre models I could take some. (standard being GW ogres of course) I have most of the infantry options covered except bombardiers. Haven't got models for those yet. ” Thanks for the offer! Please give us some time to wrap up the various rules and armies first before we look into further "beautification"

  • Quote from Pellegrim: “Quote from Garaz Zaki: “With regards to a list of manufacturers and how best to build the armies, we will cover that on the forum instead as that is subject to change too often ” I understand this notion; you should question how bad it really is if a model line changes/ stops. This happens. Also goes for other games. I think what matters is the new players experience there are awesome models available, and they see the producers also mentioned. To them it's proof that we a…

  • Hi @Pellegrim, Thank you for the great suggestion! There will be pictures in the ultimate version of the book; potentially in a slightly different form as Jim was going to present. This is yet TBD. With regards to a list of manufacturers and how best to build the armies, we will cover that on the forum instead as that is subject to change too often. Similar to its big brother, we want to provide a stable book

  • Are these being recorded?

  • If you apply the rule “when you use the terminology of a previous game, you down a beer” that could result in some very fun evenings indeed. Please down one now as “WS” is from the past

  • Just to add that this stuff is so f’ing amazing. Leveraging Patreon to get access to additional items should definitely be the way to go given the time and effort put into this

  • I would almost dare to say that 2D is for competitive ETC type players. 3D is for everyone else who wants an immersive gaming experience. Some might have 2D as it is cost effective but, with TTS being that already, 3D would be the way to go. I would also agree with the earlier statement that the closer it looks to a gaming table, the easier it will be to relate to. Of course, if you want to go crazy and give us the batsh.t crazy version on top of that, by all means haha

  • Or as a toggle? Eg when you press #1 or 2?

  • I think the shabtis look great actually. A full army shot in this theme should be amazing, especially with the sun setting behind it

  • Hi @Arjelte The basic rules are to serve as an introduction to T9A. The advanced rules add that additional layer of depth for both beginners and more seasoned players; therefore allowing it to be a smaller scale and quicker to play version of its bigger brother. I hope this helps. Thanks!
