  • I'm enjoying current book. I droped all shoting but core, and I love the feel that the army moves close to enemy and then holds position. Unlike long range shooting, wich make you feel like the oponent has no option other than run towards enemy and charge after 2 or 3 rounds of shooting, with ID you are forced to move towards enemy before shooting.   • The problem of immortals (price aside) is that unlike other units they don't add enought to core dwarbes. Either CG are too much elite or Immortals aren't enought elite (and IMHO it is the latter). Elite units usually gain +1 Os/Ds, 1 extra Stat, extra armour and 2 special rules when compared to core. But Immortals don't gain ether the aditional extra stat nor the extra armour. Also, their special rule wasn't that good. If the mask gives the hability of dead warriors, Imho, it should give Immort…

    We are talking about that non-scoring monstrous infantry with AP1? It overlaps with disiples which can have AP4?

  • Hell no...what maked people play miniatures was fight in extra rank ain citadel guard before and in infernal warriors now. With point increase after losing special rules what we achieved is to play minium sized units outside of great weapons. It might be frustratinf, but minium sized shooting allready cost 400 points in flintlocks and 270 in bb's. There is no reason to take extra models

    @DanT i was in a hurry and provably should have had to evelope my argument a bit more, but got to leave and decided just to leave a short mesage to express concerns. The comparision of eliteness thing and and the ripp off of unique rules thing where going to be 2 separate topics, but fue to that hurry I condenced all in that short sentence. Indeed, my mistake. Personally, I think the comparision of eliteness should be made relative to the army, not relative to other units. It is a diferent topic…

    That whole revelation of "Elite level" is really descouraging. Can't understand why it is needed to rip off ID of unique rules. Sad
