  • Quote from Tyranno: “Quote from Arrahed: “What aesthetic are you looking for? Do you have a specific image in mind? ” Something like these. Although possibly with a more charging stance from the stag. xKVneho.jpg My current idea is to get the GW Wild Rider stags and make them a bit bulkier. Then actually give them big antlers. ” Oh, you are looking for ones with riders... Well, with those pictures, what about doing it like a chaos steed where the horns/antlers are mounted on the horse's "helmet"…

  • Quote from Happy Aspid: “I really dont like new lust faces. It is goofy - not a tue body horror that is supposed to be. ” It looks like we can expect a dozen plus "why so serious" memes with those models for the future.

  • Been looking. Everything stag seems to be either too big or metal or just immersion breaking model. Found some "cake toppers" that look to be the right size, but they're a bit cutsy for T9A: (Hidden Content) amazon.com/Miniature-Figurines…e&qid=1606229121&sr=8-184

  • Quote from Tyranno: “Does anyone know a company that makes decent plastic stags that would fit comfortably on the 50x50 base? ” Wizkids makes a stag: amazon.com/WizKids-Deep-Cuts-M…re&qid=1606228606&sr=8-80 Only one pose. Reaper makes a rather expensive metal stag: reapermini.com/search/stag/latest/03907 And, I know you hate the legos in T9A, but they do make a plastic stag: amazon.com/LEGO-Prisoner-Azkab…re&qid=1606228948&sr=8-25

  • The army is about combinations. I don't think people taking lemures instead of hoarders means that hoarders are bad, I think it's just a matter of the two units being redundant with eachother. All the DL core are solid. Hoarders are best suited for armies with Myrmidon or Succubi core, as the hoarders block LoS to the weaker core. Imps don't really benefit from the hoarders for the same reason that myrmidons and succubi like the hoarders, los blocking. Lemures are offensively weaker than the hoa…

  • Quote from termi: “I'm talking about whole armies:) ” Quote from termi: “Thank, ofc everything can be but thinks like big sphinx are much essayer to do cool looking. because by it concept they look cool And in case of R&F you still have to remember that they need to fit next to each other in ranks so this limits fancy positions options. ” Well, if you're going to make R&F anyway, why not make them sexy?

I misunderstood.

  • Quote from Chronocide: “Quote from WarX: “Quote from Chronocide: “Quote from Porw: “So you consider shieldbearers are the unit we need? ” Need....debatable. Though model invalidation is frowned upon, so we'll likely keep some form of the shield bearers. And in terms of dwarf cavalry, the easiest stepping stone between the current DH book and full blown ram/bear/pony riding dwarves, would be the shield bearers. And DH would benefit from having a unit that could not be stomped, that's for sure. ” B…

  • Quote from termi: “Quote from Chronocide: “Beast Herds: especially the gors and ungors Mongrels and Longhorns. We've got lots of alternate minotaurs and gigantic beasts, but the others don't seem to get as much good attention. And ideally non-satyr animal-men. Even just R&F werewolves with BH compatible weaponry would be great. Aquatic animal-men could work too. Or even looney tunes knock offs would be great in a R&F unit. There don't seem to be a lot of animal-men R&F options (aside…

  • Quote from ilovepeanut: “Construct does mean mechanical. It's been "constructed" it was not born from an egg or a woman or whatever holes deamons come from. ” But that's not reflected in the T9A rules. Construct means that it doesn't stomp and doesn't handle dangerous terrain as well and doesn't join units that aren't also constructs. An AT-AT would not be a construct in T9A because it stomps. Quote from ilovepeanut: “Seriously try to picture a unit of shieldbears in your mind's eye. How does it…

  • Quote from Tonko: “why not make steam copters Large cavalry of some kind, that way it won't invalidate models, and it would be something that's completely innovative. ” That goes back to the unit types again. Do you think that the steam copter can stomp? Cavalry vs Constructs, one big difference is that constructs can't stomp.

  • Quote from WarX: “Quote from Chronocide: “Quote from Porw: “Quote from Omarcomin: “Cavalry of some kind ” Ok...but NO. ” For clarity, the objection is that dwarves shouldn't mount things that they ride into combat, or is that dwarves should have the cavalry unit type? Or something else?Shield bearers are already dwarven mounts, they just don't have the cavalry type. Would DH players be opposed to an entire DH unit where every model was mounted on shield bearers? ” But the purpose of having 'cava…

  • Quote from Rubert: “I think it is easy to understand why Hoarders don’t see any play (at least here in the US). Lemures achieve the same goal (a stopper) and most importantly they come from core. I honestly don’t see why I would ever take Hoarders over lemures. ” The lemures stop, but they don't kill. The hoarders will *eventually* kill, while the lemures have to rely on attached characters or additional units to get out of combat. Hoarders can also take armor saves, which for DL is worth noting…

  • Quote from Jal: “Hoarders don't appear in the UK often in the top placing DL lists. ” Maybe they're just allergic to being online...since all the games are online these days. PS: I'm being silly here, not refuting your argument.

  • And in a more generic capacity, T9A could always use more Chariots and Palanquin/Litter models, as most armies have them as mount/unit options in one form or another.

  • Quote from termi: “Hi, I'm new to this forum but i played wfb since 2004. I did stop playing when GW made age of sigmar and i did come back lately and i would like to offer new ranges of models for community. And I'm guy who always play hard and my goal is to make EVERY model for 9th age. I already have setuped whole manufacturing part I have capabilities to produce large volume of tropes up to 10-20k infantry size models per month. Now it is time for actually designing models. My target is to r…

  • Thanks for doing this. It's interesting. Quote from Alexwellace: “Most cost efficient:Lemures Hellhounds Threshing Engine Blazing Glory Bloat Flies Least cost efficient: Manifestation of Iron husk Courtesan of Cibaresh Clawed Fiends Hoarders Veil Serpents. ” Hoarders I like as is, but I think they suffer the most just by not having any matching based characters that can join them. Clawed Fiends share this weakness. Veil Serpents are invaluable for Twisted Effigy in non-character points, though I…
