My latest addition to the Samurai. Dread Knights! My initial thought was to do cavalry "knights" with the samurai cavalry sprues from warlord games and then the distiction between the shadow riders and the dread knights would be the weapons. I also considered some 3D printed raptors to give some uniqueness to the unit. However I came across an old cold one from the 6th edition dread elves in my bits box and had a thought.... ...5 mins later I had squidged a samurai onto one of them and realised …

A few things which come to mind with ronin: Weapon master (with an option for katana/samurai swords) Maximised discipline tests (brave) Without knowing I would guess there are ronin in the nippon book. have a look and see what the homebrew guys have come up with.

@Gelmarus maybe GW make cathay plastics... if they aren't 1000EUR for 10 guys might be good for Samurai armies...

This one took a while. Model is a repositioned 3D print of a Watatsumi Dragon from Clay Cyanide (credits to @Sassy Al) for the print. Rider is a chopup from the test if honour game, weapon from warlord games katana + spear and the back banner is from the GW Empire hurricanum. Tough conversion and a LOT of scales to paint!
