  • Quote from Vidi51: “Not a single player has chosen an Overlord or disciples of lugars... ” Actually, list 13 includes both of them I also note the presence of two bastions, which is cool but a bit surprising considering the overall community feedback. I hope they'll rock ! I am particularly happy to see that all core setup are different (some only slightly, but still!) and we even see some flintlocks coming back in the lists. Another fact to highlight is the clear shift towards anti-infantry and…

  • Hi guys, Here are the ID lists from the latest event organised by Team USA, Who 8 my Wings, a 8-players team tournament, gathering 24 teams (a whooping 192 players) : List 1 480 - Taurukh Commissioner, Battle Standard Bearer, Shield (Willow's Ward), Mask of Ages, Infernal Weapon, Talisman of Shielding 440 - Prophet, General, Prophet of Ashuruk, Wizard Master, Alchemy 275 - Prophet, Prophet of Lugar, Wizard Adept, Occultism 450 - 24 Infernal Warriors, Ziggurat Regulars, Standard Bearer (Flaming S…

  • Hi guys, Despite some nice models displayed and interesting theories, would we re-focus on the purpose of this thread please ? Thank you in advance !

  • Wow, times to revive this thread. Lot happened since late November ! In the meantime, with my friends, we entered into the madness of UB team tournaments on the french discord. That revealed to be an awesome experience. We liked our first attendance so much that we signed up for two more ! So our third tournament is ending this Sunday. I fielded my beloved ID for the first two events and shelved them for the latest iteration as I wanted to play something a bit different. On a personal level, I a…

  • The master on chariot is quite ballsy. I tried him and it never really ended up very well...

  • Guys, it seems that we spent enough time and energy to discuss power level of DE and Russian tournament scene. Thank you in advance for moving on And I hope to see the same energy to dismantle claims according to which ID are so OP and win every event

  • Quote from SlaveToThePyre: “Quote from SlaveToThePyre: “I'll drop the bomb. As an alternative, I personally think that it would be no problem if Vassals had the Bound or Broken rule removed entirely. I see that there are many other ways to buff them, such as flaming/incendiary, the Vassal Champion, and the Seat of Authority, which I'm in love with. So if the problem is that we want Vassals to be a viable solution but not the most viable, and if we do not want them to be pointlessly expensive nor…

  • Infernal Dwarves LAB FAQ

strauss - - Infernal Dwarves (ID)

    Post

This space marine non-sense does not belong to FAQ thread (it prolly belong to none of this forum’s thread anyway but that’s another story). Let’s refocus on the purpose of this thread gent’s.

  • I left this exact thread 4h ago. So I went out for groceries, cooked a nice meal for my wife, had a long walk with the doggo and then I reconnect to check what’s going on and I’m freaking back in 2020 with exact same points, same guys, same complains, same tiring endless rant. As I said earlier things are getting addressed, be patient and take a walk/breath of fresh air. You’ll see in the next update that most of your concerns are addressed in a way or another.

  • Not gonna reply point per point to the latest salvo of 'the book is too complicated and too strong'. I'd like just to say that, even though the process is not finalised yet, you folks will be very much satisfied with the streamlining of rules (one may call it a mowing - believe me, I'm bald ) and overall rework towards 'regular' rules. In that regard, team did a great job and I would be you'll think the same after the (yet undetermined) released date. So, put away the picks, forks and torches, a…

  • Quote from IHDarklord: “If they want to know all my dirty little secrets, they'll have to come and spectate the game :p. Maybe if a certain game is so amazingly cool I'll do one :p. ” Your games are always amazingly cool (I know that you hoped for such reply - here you go)

  • BatRep, BatRep, Batrep (you ain't workin' much anyway)

  • Quote from Anen: “ With regards to the army lists I feel optimistic that we have some nice variety and hope that this is a good indicator of how versatile the end product of the ID book can be. Im also suprised that no one seems to be playing the small bull mount. I came looking for inspiration on kitting a bsb Vizier on it but found none. ” I contemplated this build few weeks ago : Vizir on bull of shamut, flintlock, shield, triple speed, mask of age, aether icon. Could be fine-tuned, but I lik…

  • Quote from Il Maestro: “Quote from Yilmi: “I am always dam slow at painting cavalry ” *still paints more than most other 2021 PLOGs combined* ” You're quite right - the guy is a machine, productive and always with high table top standards - he shames our entire gaming group !

  • Quote from Chronocide: “Regarding occultism. ID does have an interesting edge there regarding the Infernal Bastion mount option, as it bumps the Prophet up to 8 HP, with HP being a big deal for Occultism. Not sure, but I think 8HP may be one of the highest HP stats of any model with access to occultism. Quote from arwaker: “Some thoughts from my side regarding ID caster environment: There are 4 prophet types and 3 paths available. Not sure about statistical significance, but seems like some path…

  • Quote from arwaker: “I was just skimming some lists and got the impression of low Occultism popularity. If this is not the case, ignore my suggestion. ” I don't have numbers in mind, but based on our recent analysis, I would say that occultism is fairly represented. That being said, I would add that the majority of occultism picks is linked to the use of a master on great bull of shamut. The latter is fairly popular at the moment. Yet, we've also seen a fair amount of chariot adepts too, and eve…

  • Quote from Theokrit: “Quote: “In that regard, @Theokrit provided some interesting feedback on the fact that actually if you're not expecting too much from your shooty elements, they could more often then not come as a good surprise. ” If you say it like that, it sounds quite sad ” Haha, sounded more positive when posting ! But somehow, for the moment, my favorite shooting unit is CG with pistols and handweapon. Well priced, resilient and when they do a few wounds with their pewpew, I am happy

  • Quote from Anen: “Quote from Dahou: “Quote from Anen: “During the game the Blunderbusses got to shoot only once, scoring one wound on the Zombie dragon. Without March and shoot and with a bulky minimum unit size of 20 I cant see this unit preform to the standard of any other unit of similar price category in the book. Vassals, Citadel guard or combat Infernal warriors seem vastly superior as does any other investment of 500pts. At the moment they are though and create some form of detterant for …

  • Quote from Villon: “This is not a bad idea! to have a pinned section with cool models ” Let's create this gallery ! I do it right now
