  • I think you're missing the point. Ganging up on a single target is meant to be powerful, but then you've also put all your eggs in a single basket and you'll have no more character-killers to reveal in other units. Keep in mind that other VS characters will likely be nerfed as well. Your tyrants will probably not be able to go toe to toe with other characters. Ganging up 3v1 will give you more damage output in the short run but has long-term consequences.

Hombre de Mundo - - General Discussion

Hope this one's okay, not sure how you're handling bases and such. But it's probably the best photo I have of a well-painted model. Submitted by: Hombre de Mundo Name: Vermin Daemon Category: paint/build I guess. honestly don't care about prizes, just would like to have a model in the game Source: Games Workshop, (dino head by Titan Forge) (Hidden Content)

  • I demand a faction of ninja turtles where the VS act exclusively as sensei characters. If Hobgoblins can be an ID supplement then you have no excuse!

  • Yeah some maps and checkbox options don't match. It's fairly hard to judge between all the map matchups and also judge how many you should vote for, I mixed it up a bit each time and just went with what I felt looked best without evaluating each option too closely (given the large number), hopefully some kind of pattern emerge from the votes

  • Quote from Calisson: “Distinct species are defined when there is no possible fertile interbreeding.Elfs, Dwarfs [...] ” Okay but what if the Dwarf could have anything down his trousers?

  • Question for those interested in the Old World: There's been some talk about model invalidation lately and I wonder, if you're interested in The Old World, is this important to you? Do you expect TOW to have most of your Warhammer models covered and playable? I'd also like to know if you think there's a difference between T9A keeping your old Warhammer models playable and TOW doing the same.

  • Quote from kisanis: “Wait, people are actually making money on tournaments?! ” ... I was told the 350£ application fee was for 5G access and extra smooth pillows but now that I think about it, I never did see any of those things and then the TO moved to another country. We probably would have caught on to the fact that we had been bamboozled, were it not for the mind cloud hanging over our heads after being given a carb-heavy lunch and then switching games to AoS mid-tourney!

  • Overall, I don't think these changes are going to have the effects you've set out to achieve. Being able to give orders in any phase is by far the biggest step taken to be friendlier to newcomers, although I don't believe this is an issue. Normally, good sportsmanship enable players - new players in particular - to give their orders when they remember to do so. And here's the twist: in my experience, giving orders in the beginning of the turn has given me much needed practice to become a better …

  • Quote from Giladis: “We do have a named character with a model, actually with two models. But I doubt we will ever make rules for here considering she is a legendary character. ” I dunno man, having a living Goddess on the battlefield that is super powerful and can only be killed by the VS Doomblade seems balanced to me!

Quote from Lord Marcus: “Quote from Idum: “I'd expect Ogres and Chaos Dwarves, due to the geography. Then and considering this is the last game of the series I'd expect more DLC actually, and since Cathay is included already I wouldn't be surprised with Araby or Ind. ” araby, ind, nippon, hobgoblins, another norsca clan (Mung/hung i think? The ones north of Cathay's great border wall.) ” I'd say a special character for Norsca and some new units/variants is likely. Previously I was thinking maybe…

Quote from Idum: “Hum hum hum... The 5th faction is CATHAY! ” Cathay is the third faction (counting from what is seen first in the trailer so #1 Kislev, #2 Demons, #2 Kathay) not the 5th. All we know for certain is that these three are going to be in the game. Now, based on previous games, there are usually 4 factions at launch and based on previous comments that they do intend for all 8th Edition factions to be playable, OK seems like the most likely candidate for faction #4. The first game had…

Are there credible sources for those rumors? A combined map mortal empires still will almost certainly happen and I suspect that's one of the main reasons they took so long to announce this compared to the others. The mortal empires map and mode took some time to release after WH2 and is also the one mode that's seen the most updates and tweaks since release. It's a technical challenge to fit that much stuff into one map.

Today, Creative Assembly announced Total Warhammer 3, featuring Kislev and Demons. Also, keep your eyes open at the end for a hint at a 3rd faction. youtube.com/watch?v=HAr7yUlM0Po Ogres are expected as well, given that it's the only faction not included in any of the games and as of yet unannounced. Geographically this also makes sense, given the other 3 factions. I'm also gonna predict Araby as a 5th faction (DLC). A Chaos Dwarf faction would not be outside the realm of possibility either. Rel…

  • Quote from Peacemaker: “Well for EoS, I'm looking forward to knight units that get orders. I think it helps represent their training compared to KoE. ” Well, they can get orders with a knight commander. But for some reason, the Knight Commander who enables orders is not the one giving them One of the few big things I expect to come from the LAB is an update on orders and parent-support rules. One, making orders more accessible outside of expensive characters and two, improving parent-support bet…

  • I'd be okay with ninja rats flying Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon style, but that's about it.

  • Quote from Mitou: “I am just talking from my experience when I was a super beginner, and would help new players too. ” Indeed, this is a niche hobby and it's a good thing that many players are concerned with new players I've talked to a decent amount of beginners who find their way onto the Discord server and most players I've talked to pick their first armies because they like the army character and playstyle or because they have found some cool models they want to use. For example, one guy wan…

  • Quote from Mitou: “It is what I said few weeks ago... This is so scary for every new VS players. And it will be a no no, for them. Imagine telling a new player : Ok for your hereditary spell, you have to buy 8 rat swarms.. Yes just for the spell. So yes I got so many excuses : ‘ It is a swarm army, this is how it works, They can choose another army ‘, ‘ T9A is not for everybody, it is a niche market and we don’t care about new player’, ‘ They can buy 3D printer, or put some fillers with bananas …

  • I like that EoS has strong viable cav lists. That being said, it's nowhere near as reliable as a KoE all cav list. EoS cav has some big weaknesses, mostly to AP shooting and Alchemy. Tarpits are also an issue for Electoral cav. Our most reliable lists is still infantry core supported by art and cav.

  • Sort of a last minute "oh **** I wanted to do this" so these are only semi-thought out maps, but hopefully one or two will be good enough! This mah doc

  • Quote from heliconid: “Somewhere in one of the guidelines or spoilers it's been stated that we have access to the same paths, but because the Dux won't be a wizard master anymore, we lose 5 and 6 from divination. While I guess this isn't set in stone Id imagine it's unlikely to massively change. ” That being said, there's a decent selection of characters that bypass normal spell selection and the VS has been no stranger to these in the past.
