Quote from rzmoz: “ Bear-dog. Your name will be greatly missed ” Who said the name will be gone? I sure didn't Quote from SlaveToThePyre: “I wouldn't be surprised if it was exactly the DE's new cows. OR AS AN ALTERNATIVE... images ” The unit was made independent of them. So no, it's not the DE unit. Quote from Kasocles: “It's a hammerhead shark riding a hammerhead whale! ” See, now I am imagining the Hammerhead rhinos from Avatar haha.

Quote from Minor Leader B: “Lots of people check this thread daily for any small updates. No spoiler can be useless - anything, however small, would be an appetizer for the hungry wolflords who are waiting for the feast of the big reveal! ” Fine. Something small then. The final cavalry unit is a ranged heavy cavalry on a 40x60 base.

Quote from Minor Leader B: “Any news on the book? Maybe a small spoiler if it will still take time? ” The few things that remain are unfortunately in a queue. So we will have to wait for them to clear and the people doing them to be free before Hobgoblins can get their turn. Well I am not sure if I can spoil something, because it might be useless in as little as a week if things all clear at once

I think it's supposed to show the connection between them and Warriors, rather than be a cohesive part of the army. Honestly I am not even sure what the units niche in Asklanders is. In an infantry army, you need to have a distinct role or you're going to get shoved out. Warriors kinda don't. The only thing I can say they have going for them is defence, and that's not a great selling point (which they possibly lose out on compared to Trolls). If I want more damage, I go Berserkers. If I want sti…

Quote from Grouchy Badger: “In my opinion warriors shouldn't even be in the Åsklander book. Would rather see an appropriate unit for the books theme put in their stead that fits the vibe better. At this point the warriors seem like some kind of hold over body part like pinky toes or a spleen. ” I modelled mine to try and make them fit in with the theme. Used historical Nordic shields, used hornless heads, swapped the weapons for Dane-axes and trimmed a bit of the odder things off. It's not perfe…

Tyranno - - Asklanders
PostThere also was an issue where Asklander Warriors should have had a points drop on their champion. I believe it is being fixed.

Makhar Discussion
PostQuote from Ghiznuk: “sounds like a point decrease is needed ? ” They just had one haha. Or rather, their additional models did. Still think the recurve bows could come down a little.

Makhar Discussion
PostQuote from Happy Aspid: “I know. That is why I almost never use squads with more than 5 models of them. ” I honestly went back to 5 with Recurves. But they were just meh. So now I use Horse Archers and Chariots. They are doing much better. The volume instead of the Beast Taker rule makes them much better.

Perhaps if the problem of infantry is solved, then this would naturally slide into place? Then you kill two birds with one stone. Although there is still the irritating issue of characters stepping out to act as roadblocks.

Makhar Discussion
PostQuote from Happy Aspid: “First time I ever tried (As WODG) 10 lasher squad - I was playing against HBE, and managed to reach their most uberexpensive archer squad at the first turn. That was one hell of bdsm session. ” I mean, it's good when it works. But as soon as your opponent knows what it is, they zone the unit and keep out of range with their juiciest targets. I had a 3-round and a 5-round tournament where this happened in all but 2 total games. So I just had to write them off by the end.
