  • Quote from Mandavar: “I would be interested in a video on how to get a list onto the table. From written list to deployment phase. How to choose models, how to assign formations... Support for the complete pre-game Phase would be quite interesting. PS: i see one of your posted videos covers this already. ” It’s super easy, especially if you use New Recruit to build your list. If you use New Recruit, you simply build your list there, push a single button to add it to your clipboard, and Warhall w…

It was intended to be a joke, which is why I ended it with a I’m sorry if it didn’t land well, it was meant to be funny.

What is this “scrapling” you all are talking about? Is this some sort of cheese? Because it sure doesn’t sound like anything that belongs in an OK list, that’s for sure

  • I really like everything so far. It works really well, and looks good. That said, if I was to go full on "I wish this would happen", I would want two additions (three, really, but I think the PTG video said you were already planning the third) 1) Alternative maps: having seasonal tile sets (snow covered land and trees, etc.), or things like "lava tile sets" or "aquatic tile sets" or "moon battle tile sets" would be awesome. Not necessary, and certainly not a priority, but I would really like the…

  • I will see if I can get some good pictures of my OK characters for this

  • Just got it downloaded and did some trial movement and a mock battle. This is awesome. Obviously a work in progress (the ogres look nothing like lawyers!), but seriously, this is so cool. Honestly, I am so impressed by this. I need to start building lists to try out.

  • I just put in my application Edit: I just watched the trailer. This looks awesome.

  • I like your points @Manxol, and would like to comment on two of them: Quote from Manxol: “- Guidelines: I think guidelines sometimes change as you desire. Also, it is obvious than those guidelines are read differently. Suddenly, 18 range stops being short range. "It is i. The Guidelines" sounds as "A wizard did it" to me. Either they aren't public, they change as time goes by and their interpretation does. Basically... When guidelines come out I read it as "We wanted it this way" or, more often,…

  • Quote from SlaveToThePyre: “There's history behind the difference between two dwarves in Core. I remember people from the Redtags demanding this distinction to be introduced at any cost, kind of five or four years ago. It may sound odd, but I'm quite sure of this. ” I'm not sure on the history of it myself. I've been playing ID since around v0.9 or so, and there have always been two dwarves in core. So honestly, this is the first I've heard of this being "odd".

  • Quote from WhammeWhamme: “In point of fact, I think the guidelines do allow us to copy VS slaves. The problem with copying VS slaves is that they're not good. Like, they're 2 points per model and still overpriced. (they don't see much play). If we'd copied them, and tried to make them playable with just points, you end up with something like 80 points for a unit of 50, or something even more ridiculous. If VS slaves were a functional, useful unit design it would have been fine to copy them. They…

I'm going to be hugely disappointed if that artwork is not front and center in the OK book. That is fantastic!

  • Quote from Harmonize: “If we cant get 1+ armour. Then i don't understand why, Small Taruks cost soooo much. With only 2+ armour R4 and Special. 5 Models, shield + Infernal weapon = 245 points = 49 points a model !!?? In SPECIAL. With 2+ R4. maybe i'm just bad at using them. Don't think the are worth the points ? The almost always hit last, and lose some models before the can hit. How are you guys using them, except for chaff hunting? ” For me, I don't see anything wrong with them having a niche.…

  • Quote from Peacemaker: “As for Infernal Dwarf getting better armour in an army that has access to armoured Cavalry and other fun stuff - It's not really needed, and it's more fluffy to have a cooler whispers of the Mask rule. ” And I do appreciate that almost all of the dwarf units have plate (special plate, at that!) I think the LAB team really nailed that particular guideline. More access to high armor than most other armies, but fewer spikes.

  • @Kriegschmidt I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I think we are both thinking the same thing but using it to arrive at different conclusions. What are your thoughts on my points about "large scale effects" like magic and artillery (both in low point games and high point games)? Do you think that they fundamentally alter how games are played at that level? Do you think that any system (either percentages or FoI, or even another system entirely) can make those kinds of effects scale appropri…

  • I bring up tournaments solely because they are one of the few situations where a large number of players will be obligated to play under a very specific set of rules. If you were to have a tournament at 2500 points, that tournament would have to set up its own specific rules for how they want things to go. This is not because the game is balanced specifically around tournaments, but because the game is balanced around 4500 point games. Like I said earlier - large scale effects do not scale well …

  • Does anyone else find it weird that we are discussing the merits between finding a percentage of a four digit number and counting to 6? On the subject of scalability in low point games, my thought has always been that they are inherently different anyway when it comes to what I will call "large scale effects". These are things like magic and artillery - things which are designed to create a certain effect at 4500 points and which do not scale down in power. Compare that to a rank and file infant…
