I like the book overall some things are undertuned and some are overtuned. Temple knights with color of Equitaine? Yeah 3 ranks having 3 attacks each = 27 attacks Ows 5 s6 ap3 agi 5 charging with option of +1 to hit. Add a Bsb inside with Banner of the Last Charge 30 attacks Ows 6 s7 ap4 at agi 6 yeah Öhm that would delete against agi 5 Dws 5 or lower = 17 models. Temple knights with colors is really really strong Currently our cap is around 21 but with option for grail lord since last patch whi…

Quote from echoCTRL: “Quote from McBaine: “Quote from McBaine: “But why does it cost 200 for a Combat character and also 200 for a damsel who can't make much use of divine attacks and auto-hits?! ” @echoCTRL Since it was an edit, I write it again here. Seems overcosted on the damsel. Also I can't see it being wasted on a damsel when it is an obvious choice for a combat character with higher Discipline anyway... ” Well, she can have Rally Around the Flag, and grant everyone in the same Combat Aeg…

  • Quote from Honeym: “I dont think that people are discussing weather or not fay should be included. More like how much they should be apart of the new book. The guidelines says 15% I believe. And more over, whats fay and the place for non-fay otherworldly creatures. ” It also really depends what is fay and what not. For example the current green knight can be argued if it is fay or not? sure it has demon rules etc but on play viewsieght it is a normal knight I guess many people mean with fay mode…

  • I think giving charger minimised LD roll while charging is all they need to show "a pumped up version"

  • Quote from Glonojad: “Bownen versys annoyance...well,tried that against Sylvan Elves, and I just got a freshly planted forest opposite them :p ” Well yeah current bowmen are obvious not good i meant it in theory for new book. I would give them +8 range which already would make them the perfect anti avoidances unit We will see what the team will do. Current rules wont help

  • Eh still better then 1 treb and if scrops get even more expensive I will just not play both of them

  • Quote from dan: “Quote from DiscoQing: “Is 180pts more to your liking, your majesty? ” Finally, some respect. I think Klexe is spot on if it drops to AP1. ” Meh. I still wouldn't play them even at 220 2scorpions are 240 still better then 1.1trebs Trebuchet and scorps should cost around the same. One should be range pressure vs infantry blocks which helps for royal Air force lists and scalpel list and the other should have pressure vs single models and cowboys which helps Cavalry and infantry lis…

  • Quote from dan: “It can’t move and fire. More to the point, you think +1 S/AP on a 4x4 template is worth 20 points? ” I disagree with the 160 points. I think 200-220 is the spot.

  • I think trebs need to be around 200 points to be pickable. It all really boils down to not having any special points left. Or let them at 250 and move yeomen to core. THen its fine too

  • You know the biggest advantage about scorpions? They are cheap aka 1. easy points for deployment 2. they are chaff 3. enemy has to think with single model cowboys which counter our knights and sometimes even monster (lucky hits exist) more then trebuchet Point 1+2 are the most important. I just place a scorpion on the left side. enemy places a WM hunter there. I place rest right Enemy uses 300 points to kill my 120 points? fine with me. I use my 4380 to kill his 4200 you get the gist? Especially…

  • Quote from dan: “They’re directly comparable precisely because they perform entirely different roles but compete for the same, limited slots. The scorpion is better against things the meta is heavy on like monsters and solo models, making the trebuchet a harder sell because of the opportunity cost. ” The scorpion is not better vs monsters? both hit the same. Scorpion wounds on 4+ and no armor = d3+1 = non flying Trebuchet wounds on 2+ and no armor = d3 dmg avg treb = 0,83 % to wound avg scropion…

  • Quote from dan: “I’m suggesting the Scorpion is worth more to KoE because the current meta is significantly heavier on Cowboys and single models than it is big blocks of infantry. If it were the reverse I imagine we’d be having the exact same conversation in reverse. ” Quote from dan: “My argument is actually that KoE players don’t think the treb is too expensive, they think it’s too expensive to be worth exchanging their scorpions. ” Disagreeing harD! with a big D. The last patch was directly t…

  • Quote from dan: “Interesting. I just see them as so cheap that it doesn’t matter if one breaks, since in an average game you’ll be hitting with one a turn every turn and misfiring twice. Even if both misfires result in a two turn loss of shooting that’s still 4 direct catapult hits for 490 points. With the rule you’re proposing it’d go up to 5 direct for an extra 110 points. Is that really worth it? Or maybe, is the problem not with the catapult itself but the opportunity cost with the Scorpion?…

  • Quote from dan: “Quote from SirMC2015: “Quote from dan: “Yeah I think we’re saying the same thing. Treb is great. ” No. DH catapult is great. Trebs are hit or miss literally. ” What’s the fundamental difference between the two? They have identical weapon stats, except the DH pays more for stuff I don’t care about in a war machine like stubborn. ” The main problem is playstyle. EoS and DH are battle lines. The hold the line and guard the wm. KoE does not. The army "dances" around and evades which…

  • Quite frankly it is mostly "external" "experts" who say treb is fine because they don't play the army themself

  • Quote from dan: “I’m actually shocked it’s not taken more. Assuming the bigger base size and extra wound wash, it’s essentially DH catapult for 45 fewer points. I’d drop stubborn and the +4 misfire mechanic for a 45 point reduction. ” Quote from Zwei: “Quote from dan: “I’m actually shocked it’s not taken more. Assuming the bigger base size and extra wound wash, it’s essentially DH catapult for 45 fewer points. I’d drop stubborn and the +4 misfire mechanic for a 45 point reduction. ” Thats just b…

  • Quote from Ludaman: “Devils advocate: played a list with two trebs last night against VS. killed his plague pendulum and big unit of disease-rats before the end of turn two with 2 direct hits and 1 indirect hit . Easily 1000 points. who needs strategy when you can get lucky!?! (I think for the LAB I’d prefer cheaper and less effective trebs tbh) ” That was always the problem. you win round 2 or you play 4000vs 4500 points with trebs. Reduce dmg hard, increase hitting chance hard and i would be h…
