Quote from Sidereo: “They do not at all, even worse. Your opponent decides who chooses. ” Any good opponent will opt for going first (and giving Cultist player choice of sides) due to how summoning mechanics works. In the case of Cultist army heaving no summons, this means there is a lot of possessed, you can imagine this fully possessed army is an offensive and not defending a Cultist hideout. It is all about the narrative.

Undead cultists?
PostQuote from thedarkfourth: “Technically you could imagine a situation where a rogue cultist learns necromancy and uses it for the purposes of a DG cult, but this should be exceptionally rare, probably not represented in the rules. ” I imagine an auxiliary book to an auxiliary book

Quote from Happy Aspid: “Is there any possiblity of clarification about Cultist/Possesed Giant role in this book? Is he present here? Or only normal DL have access to him? ” If he is not in the book, he is not in the book. Possession is consensual and Giants don't participate in that, dough it is not completely impossible. The info I got is that giants book is a collection of rarities, not standard at all. Certainly Profane Idol is a more preferred way Cultists work with possessing big things.

Undead cultists?
PostQuote from thedarkfourth: “ The Dark Gods do not create or control undead creatures. Let me know if that answers the question, happy to expand as necessary. ” Would a Vampire have a Cult that worships and summons dark gods? Can Daemons possess zombies or vampires?

Undead cultists?
PostBook is closed for design additions, but I'd use normal human, default one, archetype for Undead cultists. Cultists have Unstable by default so its not that far off. I do not remember if Cultists can be Undead by fluff dough @thedarkfourth

Quote from Igthorn: “well that is obvious but don't forget officially this is a "Warriors of the Dark Gods Supplement Army Book" ” Excatly, its even in Asklander Warriors fluff text: Åsklanders who have sworn to the Dark Gods often return to their homes to fulfil their path, for reasons that areunclear even to seidhkennars. Nonetheless, they are always welcomed among the ranks of a raiding party, as theirprowess in battle is doubted by none. We just wanted them to be as simple as possible as the…

We do believe majority of KoE players want this army to be more historic than fantasy, ergo low fantasy. It is why guidelines say that only 15% of army book should be Fey entries. Angels to me are far out of this low fantasy scope. How ever it could be explored in an Auxilliary book. We will have Sainted which you could say have half angel properties, other half is human which is what this army is about: humans. @Giladis You saw Fey in Cursed TV series? Especially Merlins evil fey side

Quote: “I find this logic contradictory. Striking from the shadows is not a defensive play in my mind. ” They were never intended to strike from shadows. They are always working in the shadows and do not want direct conflict. Only when enemies find their locations they are forced in direct conflict. It is why they can always choose the location (sides) as they are on the defensive. Auxiliary books have one, maybe max two play styles where the second one is derivative of the first one. Cultists m…

Quote from Ehakir: “In my experience you can be incredibly aggressive in the counterattack. Sure, shoving your troops in the enemy's face turn 1 is not possible, but with 3 units that can summon, you can move up any of these units (with the elf archetype 10") and summon a unit within 12"... ” That was the design intention yes. If you want to summon units deep or in the flanks, just March forward and do it, sacrifice the summoning unit. There is a lot of sacrificial flavor in the army. There is n…

Quote from 00TnT00: “what means that we would have the most elite standard size cavalry? Or mortal cavalry? Just to clarify. We can expect a level of eliteness equal to warrior knights or blood knights? Superior? Below? ” Are Warrior Knights standard size cavalry of mortals? Yes. Do KoE already have cavalry more elite than those? Yes, in the form of Grail Knights. Blood Knights are in some other game I suppose

Quote from jirga: “Does this mean that KOE are going to have undoubtedly best knights in the game? After the book is written VC can't expect their vampire knights to be on same level as best knight unit in KOE book for example? ” KoE has "best" (standard size) Cavalry the same way WDG has best (standard size) Infantry. This means most options and most variety. This does not mean they will have better cavalry for the cost as other armies. No matter if KoE Knights have Strength 3 or Strength 5, th…

Quote from Sir_Sully: “A crossbow could fire 2-3 shots a minute maximum while longbowmen could fire 10 arrows in a minute pretty easily. This rate of fire would have been easily able to take down a knight's horse and would significantly annoy any infantry. Any arrows hitting weak points would pierce armour pretty easily. Studies of the longbows discovered on the Mary Rose (which are the only remaining examples of longbows) indicate that the draw weight of the longbows were between 80 and 150 lbs…
