I can't think of any right now

I love this spontaneous brainstorming, but the new version of ID is out and this is the thread to talk about it. I don't want to spoil anyone's party, but any comments on what would make DH better in the future LAB, should be posted in its corresponding thread or we'll have to start moving comments there. Opponent can still make charges from safe distance, well placed Marksmen are still too far to grab the objective. I think that proper direction would make dwarven shooting short ranged, but more deadly. Then those Marksmen can do something other than standing still. Of course shorter range means no freaking Unwieldy! Also shorter range could be boosted by Rune of Resolve giving s…

One forces the opponent to come to you, the other allows you to magic the armoured stuff, warmachine the monsters and then grind down the unarmoured stuff with units. I'm not worried about ID having all types of units, they are supposed to be a versatile army. I just hope they don't all have everything, that some have everything makes them special, other armies will be special in other ways. The bastion seems to me a logical entry with the ID mentality, the chariot is reasonably credible, although I found it hard to accept at first. Hopefully the designs will become stable and balanced and we will all be satisfied. I don't lose any sleep over ID having a war …

I remember those websites, I've been a player since 6th edition. Probably in the painting threads there are equally interesting tips but I don't usually go into that part of the forum. I think it would be interesting to collect them and bring them to the army section.

Perhaps we could open in each army section a thread about bases. Giving ideas and advice on what types of bases would look good, some more standard and some more original, with input on materials and how to do it.

I like the bastion as a concept. For DH I would expect a static bastion. I find the chariot harder to fit but it's fine.
