  • @Nesro is points wise in order. Few names are shortened. a bit of head scraching maybe. Like "Tiger" is "Sabretooth Tigers". Most intersting naming was "Hammoth Hide" which I had to check with google. First hit was: piperthibodeau.artstation.com/projects/L2erJw which instanly led me to Mammoth-Hide Cloak. Which matches with points. So apart from few names, all ok Below is my New Recruit version of list maybe check did I get all names right (Hidden Content) @Martins9thAge all good!

    Tried Culists in UB tournament: 12th Clashing Roundabouts 9 - Your bi-monthly dosis of UB Tournament (Hidden Content) Got 8-10th position. But had -8 scores from list mistake and not doing review (which were all done before I got time anyway) So, looking only at battlepoints. got 49/60 which is 2md or 3rd.     We had issues with making the naming/ story correct. We changed it from inquisitor (in my mind at least) to be either turncoat informant or "the mark" which cult has orders to kill. Cultist plots are wide and often will need a death of certain individual. So the secretive Master behind Cult leader can advance. So maybe the real cult leader is indeed some other Vampire pulling the strings from shadows and asking death of other Vampire. Ofc the current naming does imply to old Inquisitorthing whic…

    Got 12-8 agains SE in that game. Forgot stuff like: wild huntsman are not scoring Hope Harvester. Summoned it next to Wild Huntsmen. 2 veils used, rolled to shots... 5+5! 26 shots... after smoke settles one Wild Huntsman is dead. That unit performed much better in melee My favorite elf killer is Legion Tresher 4d3 S4 ap3 impacts are just right for elves. 10" threat is so big it can join the fight where ever or zone half of the board.

    That is good reason to have one unit of infiltrators with you. Taking one Archetype allows 10" or 9" march for units. to range is 20-22" for summon "poke" on top of infiltration. Also this should not be safe, as per design :). Cultists are not the most stabile people...

    I think we had item like that in earlier revisions, but it did not see any use. The character budgets seemed to be used on something else, so based on that data we removed it. Also it did have quite small impact on army so we tried to find something more impactfull. Not sure if we succeeded though edit: Cultists are in New Recruit! Yay! And I joined tournament 12th Clashing Roundabouts 9 in UB. (Hidden Content) I managed to post list with error, and did not do reviews so... I'm starting tourney …

  • As Cultists are crazy giving 8pts head start is only fair :). I think all lists are checked? So what has left for me was to paste the findings to New Recruit thread. Thanks for that goes to @Martins9thAge for spotting that. Good luck and have fun everyone.

    Good to see you get to play in UB tourney! Hope I'm not late... My favorites have been Hoarders and Legion Tresher. I think you can fit some of that. If you expect dragons and similar, Titanslayer might be good zoner. But I think Legion tresher with Roaming hands and Evocation is as good for that.

    Well those are the new units. We ofc have the vassal stuff from ID but indeed using just O&G is not that straithforward. We put a lot of emphasis not to take anything away from future of Goblins. So that is why we have a lot of "new" stuff even if it is almost clone to some other armies units. And ofc remember this is almost first draft and we all know first draft is bad :).

  • The game start setting is bit unrealistic, it is good for game but lacks some depth if for example you are playing campaingn. This semi-short pre-game addition changes deployment, choosing sides, starting the game and maybe some terrains on the battelefield. My driving goal was to avoid any extra memory burden after the game starts. So everything that happened in the pre-game should be irrelevant after the player going first is decided.   • (The usual DanT has omitted lately) I also encourage everyone to play more (all) armies. At least if you want to win more :). Has helped me. WDG has indeed many different builds for different situations The two I swap around are. the high risk 4 heroes on karkadans( or now some other similar). And random movers I can get + 2 wizards for simple play. Just roll dice list :). Infantry might be next then...

  • These are ofc personal opinions as I was not in working with patch apart from supplement points costing. For me 0-x is not points change. This is based on sloppy memory, but during time of designing LABs I was not told that the limits might change. Most of all DL chariots got bad hit. But I should whine in correct threads

  • 0-3 Karkadans, because... Spent a good deal of time huting for Four horsemen of Apocalypse models. Then converting, painting, and having my snowflake list. And while it indeed won a big tournament I got only sad people in local chat to see that the list got nullified. I thought that if book is Gold, it stands that I can spend a good deal on models and they do not get invalidated. Just points which I can shift around
