  • Quote from Lakson: “No. Our Wms need to be better at killing, not harder at dying. We don't have offensive magic. Warmachines need to compensate this for us. They need to kill more. Please stop thinking about fluff only. Think about how to make DH stronger and competitive at higher levels. Not how to make them more resilient, stubborn, and tougher. This is not the way to winning. ” I disagree, my biggest problem with war machines is that they get killed by magic, enemy war machines or war machin…

Ironclad - - Dwarven Holds (DH)

    Post

please point to any lore in any fantasy setting were Dwarfs are masters of ranged warfare, that has usually been elf territory. GW rules made dwarfs a shooting army and it wasn’t even in the fluff (at least not in the early fluff, didn’t read the 6-8 edition fluff).

  • Quote from xaby86: “Good to see, but so many limitations on the units feels strange. I'd rather not have to list 1/3 of units that can't use the rule. How would you do that? So what do you propose? A banner? I think that might be fine as a rule for a cheap king. If it's an expensive king on a deathstar no one is going to attack it, but a cheap king might work. Or so I think. I agree that it shouldn't affect shooting units. I think a sentence stating that the units are considered to have moved mi…

  • Quote from xaby86: “I have noted this in my LAB as a rule for the King. I have also put some restrictions on it. First of all it only works with standard infantry, so it can't be used to make copters do better chaff and as it seemed a bit clan related, I also wanted to leave out HG. Secondly, the units must have the king or his unit in their line of sight, otherwise it would be very easy to position and move our units towards other combat in other directions and the spirit of the rule seems to i…

  • I don’t know, just brainstorming, maybe to easy to abuse if you can block charge lanes so let’s say after they have moved all their charges.

  • I think the best ideas have been to keep dwarfs slow but make them very maneuverable, moving full advance sideways and backwards, marching after swift reform or something similar. Instead of swift stride we could have reroll charges. Anything that fits the troops with the best discipline in the game.

Quote from Slayer Zabojcow: “Quote from Jomppexx: “Quote from Slayer Zabojcow: “Sorry, I forget about sabretits, but tribesmen and bruiser could have 1 profile with simple upgrade "Bruisers: +1 dis, heavy armour and great weapon". ” But you can look at everything this way. DH only have one core option: warriors, warriors with shooting weapons, and warriors with +1Off/Def, +1Str/AP, Fearless, and Seen It All.Very many units in the game are just upgraded from other troops. Like EoS is heavy infant…
