I absolutely agree. SE are very "strong" and versatile. They can hit like a tonne of bricks very quickly. But your right, it takes a mindset. You have to set things up and hit and run and win the attrition game. They can't grind as they usually don't have the numbers. But they have the tools to make things work, and when the time is right, send in those combat units and swiftly clean house. I actually think that the shooting elements for SE are overpriced (comparatively and within the army) so I…

I love threads like this, so thank you, guys. Gets the creative juices flowing. What’s the perception of Unicorns? My daughter loves them. So I made a unit of them. After seeing the cost of the Druid Master on a Dragon, I had sticker shock. So I wrote up a list and maxed out my character section mainly by using Druid Apprentices on Unicorns. I have 4, each one using a different path, so it’s like I have Protean Magic! (4th guy will get the Hereditary). The movement of these guys is awesome, so I…

  • Quote from Cultivator: “Quote from arwaker: “Every time someone asks for release date, a vermin baby dies. ” And is consumed, strengthening the swarm. ” Just weeding out the weak.

  • Quote from Arkainer: “We have an tentaive date when the Beta will be released? ” A very tentative idea of a date range. No specific dates, but goals. Pushing hard for “soon”, but it’s the time in the process for all the other train cars to start to get in line. As for Beta, I have no idea. However, if July comes around and we haven’t released the Alpha, then we hit a snag somewhere and got derailed.

  • With the trash that I’m bringing, it will be obvious that I’m there to just roll dice and heckle people.

I can think of double Eagle kings screened by 2x4 Eagle units, just flying around picking their targets. Hell, go full tilt and put a Prince on an Eagle king built for combat and send him with them. Got to go hit army builder and see what craziness I can do....

I think maybe trying out 2 Druid Eagle kings of shamanism instead. Pretty close to the points spent on the solo dragon guy.

So many great post-production bits there, it's honestly kinda wasted on a long alpha-release chat discussion video in some ways, but would be perfect for the kind of thing you are discussing here for short videos about aspects of T9A! ” Thank you @Remy77077. I am producer and DoP of a "traditional" filmmaking…

I’d go the cheeky route. Take a unit of 10-15 and load up with 2 harbingers on pulpits and a Deciever General. The characters make up the entire front rank. The Lemures are there for their R5 defense against ranged attacks. The Deceiver is there to ward off monsters or high attack models. The footprint of double pulpit will help fill out the ranks of the unit. Take hammer hand and Chitinous scales on the harbingers so you’ll have a 4+/4++ on both. Then play around with other manifestations to su…

  • for big units, its rattle can, ink, then dry brush. Done. Hit weapons with metallic and glue the bases and set them in the tray of flock/sand/etc. units done in an afternoon. Then do the heaviest detail work on the front 8, command, and characters. I watch a lot of Goobertown for tips and inspiration.

  • Quote from Eldan: “Quote from rbf911: “@Bogi Sure some people might be leaving but that sounds more like “I’m not getting what I want, so I’m taking my ball and going home” attitude. ” I mean, the main reason why I played Skaven was that I wanted a faction of mad scientists, and they allowed me to play both mad engineers and mad biologists. I'm not sure I can really love an army without preferably both of those as much as I loved the Skaven. And 11 previews in, and in all the fluff we have seen …

  • Quote from Giladis: “Quote from Wesser: “So far supplements only have quite superficial design in Common with their parent books, so why not? ” Supplements explore elements of background that were chosen not to be focused on in the main LAB, they do not go and invent new background. Both WDG supplements are an elaboration of the "barbarian" theme because it was decided to focus on the Warriors in the WDG. The same goes for the DL supplement and the upcoming ID supplement. ” (Just because I like …

  • I’m sorry, but I don’t buy that.

  • Quote from jirga: “Giant with tribal war spear was intended to go with infantry barbarian units. Not with cavalry or characters. Also deeds not words were meant to benefit chief in rank and file units. At any point chief weren't supposed to get this benefit from a giant. If wording would allow such tricks it would be a mistake and it would fixed. ” Then it needs to be fixed back to the way it was when the Tribal Warspear said “infantry only”. Current wording and naming surely depicts “barbarian”…
