    Nice video, but it open with "This is going to be a Minotaur list" hence all the bulls. Focus on the unit selected to be the dominating force. He also notes, "This isn't the best list" as it is what he wanted to do for the list by theme. If someone did a video on "I wan this to be an allover swarming list" it would feature Briar Beasts, Ambush, Vanguard and Scout units, and fewer/no big bricks.   • On the contrary, there are times when weird things have a purpose. It comes down to the role/responsibility of the units and their purpose as part of a larger picture. I agree the opportunity might be few and far between, but the potential is what allows the interaction to happen. I have plans for a Wildhorn infantry block in a new list idea to abuse the width it provides at times as well. we shall see if it does have a use on table as I believe it does in theory.   • Everybody has their preferences, and battlefield roles/item combinations to assist. I am trying to make my little bunker step up into a bigger on table role and be able to support my list more, this growth could end up with a full on effective unit when points reductions come in. I do see a small role for 15 Wildhorn with throwing weapons for me for tricky units where I want a throw away blocker.     To steer wish listing in the right direction then, what are we hoping for pts adjustment wise on the update? Points Drop list; - Jabbers - - Giants - - Beast Axe - - Briar Beasts - - Minotaur weapon options - Going the other way I imagine we will also likely be hit with increases on; - Spears on Mongrels - Base Ambush cost on Longhorn unit - Eye of Dominance (DL army book fault) I know i have many more i'd like, but cannot see them being made as it will be minimal changes overall I guess.     Can see the Totems becoming permanent upgrades like the Saurus ones or Warriors marks, but expect to pay a pretty penny for this. (Guess it will depends how Totems change) I'd like to see them activated in a turn by a champion of a herd unit. Pick the totem on the army list, activate it at the start of any player turn, lasts one turn, automatic resolution. Then the Greater One would have the ability to use each one once during the game and only one choice per turn. As for wildhorns vs Dryads the…

    Surveys are there to address the feedback, the teams will them pick up and review the feedback alongside the surveys, the army reps and the rules balancing. Yes Gortachs are good, they are in almost all tournament lists, there are reasons for this, but are they OP no, they are the just the best option for us in the book and so have a skewed outcome. If we try to bend the survey data we will not give them the real information needed to address our problems. Core: Mongrels with spears are the best…

  • Hmmm, points and catching cost changes only. Well then I think some of our monsters will be much cheaper, and H spell needs to be "auto" to cast bound spell in it's current form. Seems a shame, but I guess wholesale changes will take more time, as long as they are not being overlooked completely I'll take it for the moment. -Tim

  • Potential Idea to fix things in our core. Characters cannot join Mongrel units. (some problems solved, forces our hand) But we get a cheap hero with limited special equipment points for Mongrels added to the character section which can. I am thinking like a goblin level hero, OS4 DS4 S4 R4 2W Dis7 Ag4 Att2 cannot join other non mongrel units, can take bow, spear, paired wpns and light armour shield as standard.   • Ok, sorry for the very long delay. I had a pile to do for the ETC to get the herd up to scratch. Trays in all dimensions, Markers, 6 x Totem Summons (I did land 4 on table at once in one game) But the good news, BSB for the ETC got finished reflecting the Scottish Dice emblem and our Army race emblem form the 9th Age.     So quick recap of my list played out at the event. (Scottish BH) The one with triple cyclops. MinLord, Blessed Wpns, Flayed hide,Eye BSB, GTotem, 2+, OFog, Crystal ball, Shamanism Master, DRain Seed, 40 Mongrels, WH banner, FC 30 Mongrels, WH banner, FC 15 Wildhorn, M, 2x 10 Ambush Longhorn 2x 5 Hounds 2x 1 Razors 1x Briar Beast 3x Cyclops Overall I found the list did it’s job in the pairings and it enabled us to bully our way around bad matches vs VS,DL and any large Flying monster lists.So for…

  • Spell from Divination is no good for it, as it adds Divine attack attribute. However, the Cyclops' Hurl attack has the special addition/rule to it which enables the shot to be Divine. (Specifically instead of just adding he attribute to the model as a whole) Same thing applies to the VS Plague Catapults Toxic attacks. (It's a specific addition to these models which allow it to happen.) Just wanted to be sure that was clear. Cheers, -Tim

    Beastlord should be only Dis9 character we have, it feels right that way. Remove a bunch of armour options and give our characters back an additional wound. They can be tough that way instead. If Banner comes off the Mongrels we will need more ambush allowance as it will make our Core considerably worse again. Primal Fury without the Crown is ok, should be on units base discipline,(reduce tax on it) but then our H spell should interact with our Discipline and make it better. Cheers, -Tim

    Jabbers and Cyclops need a boost i think we will see this post ETC for the full book. (Boosts are needed, surprised to be only one taking them though) Briar Beasts are cool, nothing wrong with them at the moment, but give them PFury and they will appear outside my list again. Core infantry fighty blocks are the issue, I only run spear mongrels as it lets me take a long charge at my opponent, and if I fail i get a suitable boost to their counter charge which is great help to a combat army wanting…

  • If you guys need some numbers for this one as a long ranged Wildling, I have written the greatest armylist ever for this event, which i would love to represent at the event if there is space. Won't be winning anything, unless the inner spirit animal aligns and I become the beast incarnate, but you'll love to see it all. MGR will love the review of it as well.     @esgaroth, I believe when a unit is fleeing it loses all of it's formation and as such no longer counts as having flanks/rear. So no bonus Swiftstride can be used to catch them. (Which is a shame as it's thematic to get it in this situation) I also concede the fact that if my unit with pack tactics declares a charge vs a flank, and the unit flees, I may then get a redirect into another target but now I lose the Swiftstride as the new target is a frontal charge.
