Hello Alpha, thank you for the interest. From your comments, I am not sure how familiar you are with the current slim book army. KoE.is a.charge dependent army, so KoE players have to take advantage of the movement phase to win the first round of combat. If the KoE Player isn't certain that charging with a Character and Knight bus would break the enemy unit, that enemy unit should be charged until the KoE player can focus more units on charging that enemy units so it will break. KoE knights do r…

Quote from Aleph Null: “The Distracting portion of Sainted has been removed. The Sainted is to be close to on par with a Chaos Lord. Back in Editor Mode now, for the most part. "Ordo/s" as a term applied to a body of people is, as far as I'm aware, an invention of GW. Normally it's a calendar of holy days. You can use it if you like, of course, but it's worth noting. On a similar note, hospitalier is a French word with no connection to crusading knights; those were the knights Hospitaller (somet…

Quote from Nanatoo: “Quote from echoCTRL: “That is the problem with BRB items and why there was significant discussion on keeping BRB items in the game. Hopefully the 3rd edition of the game does away with them. ” Why would you want this? Why are people so keen to do away with flavour and interesting, characterful elements? Makes me sad. ” impossible to really Ballance and this flavour should be in Army Books. Last time, each Army book was allowed to create 5 new items, hopefully in third editio…

Quote from JamesMcDonnell: “Quote from Phaeoron: “Probably the "sucked into the void if you mess up" part has something to do with it... Even cuatl lords can implode when their magic backfires, imagine what its like for hogwarts freshmen. ” Yeah but if you’re living in a dank hole somewhere barely surviving it’s probably worth a shot, since everyone is capable of doing it. ” But, who would teach them?

on Discipline 10, good catch, for now think of it as saying, "Discipline 9, or better." I really want to experiment with designs that eliminate staring matches and keep away. That is why I am testing out the Nerf to Scoring. I am wondering if there is price point at which it is worthwhile. I am thinking of adding something else to the Magical Move. Either Strider, Light Troops, or Automatic Rally. A 1" Magical Move with Strider seems I credibly powerful when Repeatable on a 3-4+ CV. So, I hesita…

Updated LINK Tenet should be spelled correctly now. Thank you. Also, this is the current book, the old version remains up for any who like it. (Peacemaker, you reviewed the old book) Quote from Peacemaker: “I like the +1 advance on the lance formation rule. I also think FIER should not be in the Lance formation rule but applied individually to units. ...this might be a little late feedback since it has lots of ripple effects for unit design. You are wrong about the FiER, wether on Profile or in …

DE LL is the same price as the SE Chieftain when it takes Light Armor and Sylvan Cloak. The same cost as a KoE Duke. But, is 15 points more expensive than the HbE Commander. Or c…

At what Casting Cost does the Hereditary become a solid second spell for casting? Remember, the Hereditary supplements whatever ranged defense and combat buffs you already have. It isn't meant to better than any other spell it is meant to compliment your path choices. So, you can take something like Evocation and still have some ranged defense in spell casting, or take Witchcraft and still have some extra combat punch. Would a range of 30" and a Casting Value of 6+ make it more appealing as a se…

The design team has No power over guidelines. The design team cannot choose to bend or ignore guidelines. This is not a power the Design Team has. The Stakeholders have dictated what their guidelines are and we know that they are willing to accept. I have been communicating this to you as best as I ma able. I do not like telling you this, it isn't fun to say , "No."

Quote from Il Maestro: “*speaking with staff game designer hat on, but it’s a propeller hat so not sure how much you should listen to anything I say* I think what @echoCTRL said is really important. There are guidelines for this army, and for every army, and once an area has been explored and shut down, it’s really a no-go. And that’s not necessarily meant in a negative way, it’s just the reality of trying to create a product with a distinct identity and allowing wiggle room where it exists, but…
