  • Thanks for the support guys, and I'm very glad the metallic is appreciated @Promet What do you think Gimli would say if someone mistook him for a hobbit? That's a dwarf you see! Though there will be a halfling in the unit too.

Säg bara till om det är nått du undrar över eller behöver hjälp med Schyst jobb med armborstskyttarna. Quote from Remy77077: “Hehe, yeah I was thinking they would be great for it too :D(As I am painting some IG right now as well, that are like 80% metal too). I've also never thought too much about how I paint metal .. it's just sort of stuff I've been doing since I started more or less (with a few experiments & variations too ofc!) ... so I suspect I might accidentally be doing something similar - just not nearly as well! I've heard of "NMM" recently, but I must admit as amazing as it can be done…

  • Cool looking caimans! I love the red markings on their faces, really draws the eye. I've had good experiences with alternating between speed-painting one army and doing deep with detail work on another. It helps to keep things fresh. Looking forward to those deamons

Quote from Remy77077: “Looking crazy good as usual! I'd love a guide on how you do the metal on these guys ” Thank you That's a good idea. I had thought about doing a TMM tutorial, but had not thought of using the Imperial Guard to make it. But they are a perfect fit actually, with their nice clean armour and long swords. Quote from WastelandWarrior: “Another immense unit in the making. These are looking so good man ” Thanks man! I'm really excited to have started on them. The army suddenly feel…

Work has finally started to pay off on the last of my big infantry units (in the near future at least). I've been pouring hours into my Imperial Guard. This is what the unit looked like fully built, just before priming: SaARvrH.jpg 04AVwAR.jpg I got miniatures and parts from Warlord Games, Statuesque Miniatures, Knightmare Games, The Assault Group, Warmonger Miniatures and 4 generations of Games Workshop. A varied but happy bunch, I ended up being really pleased with how the composition of the u…

  • Been working on my Imperial Guard for the past two weeks. Primed them up last Saturday and now have eleven of their numbers finished: 36178-a28d1e20.jpg 36179-f76e5f9b-large.jpg

  • What an adorable army I especially like the Sylvan Giant, very original. They may look small, but compared to the rest of the army it feels quite appropriate

  • Nice progress and nice basing! Also, really nice eye for miniatures, you really did know what you were doing when putting the army together. And fair explanation about Lubart, I like their minis a lot, but they are very heroic.

What an awesomely creative project! I love the idea of a whole army of hulks smashing their way through the lands Great start too! I like the pinkish skin combined with the winter base, it really sets an theme of it being really cold. Poor rats! The banner is also cool, very intricate and cultish. Looking forward to seeing more, so please keep posting to this thread

  • sounds like a cool theme! My immediate thought was to direct you to Lubart, but it seems you are already aware of them. Any particular reason why you are not going all in with Lubart, it seems like a perfect fit to me?

Great to see you starting a blog here! Having played against this army, I know just how beautiful it is, but it's cool to see it in pictures too. Looking forward to seeing what more you can come up with

  • Thank you, that is an awesome submission The article will be recurring, so if you don't make it into this one, it will be in the next. You can of course choose to paint up something else by then though.

  • Quote from Hillbilly Carl: “I like this idea, I'm not as big a fan of the "finished models only" rule because maybe I want advice on a model I'm currently working on. ” Hey, thanks! I appreciate the support and the comment. The are two reasons for the rule of only finished models being entered. First is that it can be tricky giving feedback on unfinished work. NMM for example looks like trash until you do the edge highlighting, but me pointing out that you need to do the edge highlight isn't hel…
