  • Quote from arwaker: “ The base size will certainly not have significant impact on his rules.. ” ...or does it???? Hmmm.

  • No chance. I had a long explanation about it, but cut it out. Too much rope could cause knots. So short and sweet...nope.

  • An all skink army unlocks skink cloud.

  • Quote from Cultivator: “I don't really see a problem with SE being a cc army. Just because they became "shooty elves" during one period of WH doesn't mean the have to be in perpetuity. ” This is exactly the experiment that I’m currently working on. The tree list has been successful, but it lacks any actual elves. This worries me a little for when it comes time to do the LAB. It’s almost like separate books, so how will they marry them in an army..... So, I’m trying the elven combat with no Cav a…

  • Love it. It’s a drum I’ve been beating for awhile now. Fully support the direction and content.

  • Quote from Gingersmali: “. All in all this unit just doesn't feel in keeping with how I picture VS playing and think it in current rules is pretty RPS. ” And honestly, this is the rub. There’s a team of 6 tasked to create something new that matches a desired direction and project background story that also plays as a balanced game. These 6 have to walk that tight rope while many throw rocks (alternate ideas and wishes). It like a game show. Sometimes (or most times), these two directions either …

  • Quote from Gingersmali: “@skipschnit Question, don't you think the carts go against the LAB guidelines for movement? "Movement The ranked infantry part of the army (which is the main bulk of most VS armies) offers average speed (for its unit type) and typical lateral maneuverability (e.g. swift reform capabilities where appropriate). The infantry part of the army is overall pretty static except forward movement, and multiple very large units that all need general/BSB support enhance this further…

  • Quote from Gingersmali: “Quote from Eldan: “The Doomwheel could rather easily go to 4d6, happened often enough. And of course Skitterleap has infinite range. But that's not the point. We were always above average in speed and we never had any slow units. Everthing's M5-7. Plus tunnelling, ambush, flanking, scouts... and the banner of scurrying. ” Huh dreadmill is adv and mar 8"? What is Skitterleap? I'm Ctrl F slimbook and nothing is showing up? ” And Now somebody doesn’t quote legacy...love it.…

  • @Eldan. Do you have available the gathered community feedback/wishlist that used to be in your signature? If so, could you post it? I’m curious to see if any comments would be changed now or if anything matches spoilers, or is way off, etc.

  • Quote from Cam: “Quote from skipschnit: “Quote from Cam: “Quote from skipschnit: “It’s 1 grind per model. That’s the only attack it gets in the following rounds or when charged )I don’t count the rider’s attack). A rocket wheel is going to do burn outs on somebody. Burn rubber! ” Why’s it a grind attack? Why does it have to be auto hit? Why isn’t a normal attack? ” Why not? It’s a grind, from a mechanical wheel of some sort. No skill required. Just turn and squish something even on accident. Cal…

  • Quote from Nicreap: “chaff can't buy willows ward, and most chaff loses to the 3 auto grinds even when the chaff charges ” depends on the chaff. We know the MA Region uses some crazy stuff as chaff.

  • More??? 3 hp, R4, flammable, variable advance move? Everyone knows they blow up. Everyone has access to a common flaming banner. (Even DL). Being a construct, it comes with chariot, which makes DTT even worse for the unit. Many armies have access to Break the Spirit in one form or another. SE can put trees right in front. Druidism can engulf them in a forest. A cheap chaff with good armor and willows ward can really reduce them and redirect them. There are many downsides and and counters to them…

youtu.be/-yxOy8SMuLE Mr. Miser can be a threat, but only if the controlling player doesn’t get caught up in a vendetta.

  • 3. With even Orcs being able to construct “complex” machines, what prevents the herds from developing or using these types of apparatus for social/battle?

  • 2. Is there a central “kingdom” or are the herds just nomadic communities? If territorial, then is each “tribe” independent with no central ruling class or area? Are the tribes warring with each other or is there an alliance? If alliance, is this natural instinct or intellectually based?

  • 1. Are the beast herds a natural race, or were they “created” by mutations, spell gone wrong, or deals with the supernals?

  • Quote from Kiwi: “My only concern is with the wording of the extra D6. Because it is currently ambiguous. Like, if you are on a hill and re-roll the charge range do you also re-roll this extra D6? So i think there needs to be some extra wording to ensure people know exactly how its supposed to interact. Otherwise i think this entry is amazing. Im looking forward to fielding an army of rats interspersed with crazy and wacky machines!! How many Doomwheels?? more!! not enough Doomwheels! never enou…
