  • Usually I dont take the Hereditary due to its high casting value. As you mentioned I prefer entwining roots or Know the enemy. As the grail knights already have a high offensive WS. It work like a charm with any of them. The rival should only be able to stop one of those spells. But If you manage to get both in. Its just awesome. An 8-5 magic phase . Open the phase with Hard target on 3-4 dices. Then go 3 dices for Know the enemy and 2 dices for entwining roots

  • Quote from IntrigueAtCourt: “The old jousting rule was great. ” I would love to have Jousting back fluffwise. With some different rulling. We had many proposals in this forum, just to mention some of the options: +1Agi when charging and using Lance Ignore parry when charging and using Lance +1to hit when charging and using Lance I would be happy with any of those

  • Quote from jaith1: “@SirVelinn I am hesitant to agree that KoE need to expand their close combat prowess beyond the current might duke (where you suggest in-built divine+LR on grail oath). Should KoE be able to field a variety of CC-potent dukes? Sure. Should the only way to play KoE (in a viable manner) be to have characters doing the heavy lifting? No. ” Not Beyond the current Might Duke. That is on the top limit. The way I play the current Might Duke is Questing Oath. Due the +1to hit vs Fear…

  • Quote from CariadocThorne: “Do KoE actually need highly elite combat characters? ” Yes. I think one of the main reasons why many players choose KoE, or enjoy playing KoE, is having strong combat characters. I have read many post suggesting Virtue of Might to work as a crutch. I dont think of it, as a crutch. I want to believe that KoE characters are suppose to do the heavy lifting. For instance we dont have reliable WM like cannons that can inflict some strong dmg, like other armies. Neither we …

  • Very Exciting news toda for us!!! Looking forward!!

  • Question, that came up playing versus DL. My Peg Duke, with Might and Questing Vow, charges a Blazing glory Blazing Glory has DS 10. My Duke has Off:6 He causes Fear So I hit him on 4s. 2 go in and 2 wounds.. I generate 2 more attacks. Those generated attacks go on 3s or 4s?? As the blazing glory s hp went down to 3. Is at the same initiative step. But The blazing glory already has 2 wounds.

  • I like the ideas of Angels, Representing fallen knights that are back to fulfil there duty. Make Fly an optional rule to them..40mm square base..with some nice tools..could be a very useful unit. Also I wouldnt mind getting a Dragon mount. But that is my point of view.

  • Hi there, A dwarf king with a runic weapon and a shield. Mounted on shieldbearers. Can the king use Parry? Thanks

  • From a playing and tactics point of view. Wouldnt mind Yeoman in core. From a background point of view..that a negative sir. Peasants with horses? Would rather have Aspirant kights, to loose lance formation and bring down there Price. Maybe option for light armour. And Yoeman. To get bow and light lance as an option. So we can also reduce their Price as much as possible. And definately would like to see a new unit like hunting dogs. Maybe even with 20x20mm bases. But very fast and easy to manouv…

  • @Klexe, I guess for my list is a bigger threat as I bring a big unit of Forlorn knights with reliquary. Which I expect to hold as a bunker and see them in the biggest fights. So a -1 Armour its really painful. Is a similar case, for anyone that brings big units. I can accept letting it through at turn 5 maybe..if the unit isnt planning to see any action. Still think the casting value is a tad low. I have seen succesful combos with ID and pyro. ID can get a lot of Alchemy when combined with Volca…

  • @Just_Flo Recently had 2 games versus 2 descent players to say the least. They both brought Alchemy. I have to first state that I dont bring magic defence to my list. My choice. I use Druidism. Despite Alchemy, been our biggest ofender. I am impressed how well balance, generally speaking the Magic lores are. Only single complaint. Which I hope get looked at is Corruption of Tin. I just find the casting value, too low for what it does, been a permanent. It forces the KoE player to save your dices…

  • Characters :2 Oaths:3 Virtues:5 For grail oath: I'd like an upgrade. And a specialised character. So both options. I somehow agree with the board. About keeping our heroes with human stats, but with awesome virtues. Maybe a Grail hero..moving a few stats slightly up, atributes that may improve with years of training. For instance, if a grail knights has an extended lifespan; something like OS or Agi can go up to 7. But thats about it. I would much rather we get our strength through "divine" rule…

  • @Klexe Sounds great. I would be more than happy with that. And loosing lance formation on aspirants also fits them. Fluffy and simple.

  • Hi guys, Have a question about combat reform 15.1 My unit is charged on the flank. After combat. My rival s charging unit, stay as it was, with 5 models in contact with 5 R&F models of my own unit. We draw the combat. If I do a combat reform to give him front facing. Do i need to have at least 5 R&F of my unit models in contact with my enemy? Or can it be 5 models, but not necessarily R&F? For instance 3 R&F and 2 characters Thanks

  • Hi guys, I have a question about Mirrored Scales from the DL army book. How would it interact with the KoE Fortress of Faith shield enchantment. As I understand, after Reading page 6 of the rulebook, Rerolling Dice; If I initially roll a 1 to hit, but when rerolling I get another result. The attack doesnt hit the attacking model. Can someone please confirm I am applying it correctly. Many thanks

  • I would be ok the Angel like deity. A 50x50mm Large, unit..that also buff other units. Dunno need to toy around with the idea..maybe connected to the blessing or something else. Personally I like the Green Knight, never use him though, but love the background. I think he is lacking a bit of power..either he dies too fast or doesnt punch hard enough. About ppl doubting the might duke is a great Char..still cant get it. Ok he is charge dependent..but he has adv 10" vs fear..and if you stick him wi…

A character against rank and file can get to 6 attacks (Hero's Heart PW) with Off 8 and ignore parry (so hitting most things on 2s or 3s) at strength 5 AP3. Rero…

  • Quote from Grouchy Badger: “Quote from Marcos24: “Well I dunno... even if a virtue was free, Piety for example (I know people like it but I think it’s a waste), I still would never pick that over the combat virtue even if I had to pay for it the current price ” Piety is almost required when using Forlorn Knights as an anvil and then turning them into a hammer once the enemy gets in contact with them. When you have a unit that has heavy armor, a shield, a reliq, and then a 5+ ward save, the unit …

  • @Ludaman Very nice idea. Still I would like to see a small change to Toxic Attacks, so it aint so devastating vs KoE The attack has its Strength always set to 1 and its armour penetarion always set to 10.

  • You guys want to Renown come back?? -Forget Lethat Strike. MW (1D3+1) on every attack. If too good, downtune it to MW(1D3)...combine it with Tristan and I would take it everyday. -Valour The bearer automatically issues a Duel whenever posible (this cannot be prevented by issuing a Duel with another firendly model first), and this Duel must be accpeted whenver posible. The bearer must reroll failed to-hit and to-wound Rolls. -Audacity The bearer and all R&F models in the bearer´s unit gain ha…
