  • I can try joining you guys as a concept artist but I'm relatively out of practice but if you'd have me I'd love to help out

  • Quote from Casp: “Well for sure, some army take more time to play. If you wnat play well with EoS and make no mistake of interaction range, you need to take more time than many other army for exemple. Perosnnaly i have really hard to finish 6 turn in 3h.. In all casual game i do we are more around 4h- 4h30 Competitive aspect of turnament, is good, but its not the main goal for me. I feel more comfortable with chill turnament, and i would love to have game of 4h to be relaly cool. But sadly 3*4h …

  • Quote from Folomo: “The implementation matters a lot in the discussion because everyone will imagine a different case depending on nuance such as what are the penalties for running out of time or how common stalling/slow play is. In general, it seems that the pros and cons would be: Pro - Keep slow players away - Eliminates stalling - Ensures games end on time Contra - Keeps slow players away - Desincentivises some factions/playstyles - Desincentivises social interaction Uncertain - Clocking out…

  • Quote from Marcos24: “I recommend a clock at the very least for the charge/movement phase if nothing else ” I think Magic as well. That might be a great solution, I just realized majority of the time is eaten up during these phases.

  • I luckily in warmachine have not experienced deliberate slow play, I've also been beneficiary and lost due to clock outs. In 40k and old WFB i've heard stories of people who deliberately slow play and refuse to answer game related questions on their turn while badgering his opponent on his turn and have won due to round time ends. I've also heard many stories like yours wherin the opponent plays his usual pace taking up majority of the round time which ends up to his favor without any ill intent…

  • Slow play whether deliberate or worse deliberate is a very negative play experience in my opinion. I'm in the camp of chess clocks but with the current game's design I have no suggestions on how to keep it a positive experience, my best suggestion is new innovative scenarios much like how EW plays, game ends in X turns, winner is determined by # of scoring units in zone. I feel like having a clear win condition aside from Kill X units and win secondary objectives would help reduce thinking times…

  • Quote from Squigkikka: “@PhearTheHam Rolling for Tough is done within seconds, but fighting out a full multi-unit combat requires a lot more rolling. ” Agreed but we also haven't specified the actual time allotment for both players in an event, Warmachine typically has 75 minutes for both players and contains between 30-60 models per side, T9A has a bigger number of models and longer resolutions so a bigger time pool would be better. What's also not considered is both players have the same restr…

  • i lived with chess clocks on every event whenever I play warmachine. It is a great way to learn to play better and think faster, you learn to stop overthinking and begin to commit moves and just adapting to the situation rather than sitting there and thinking about all potential scenarios. people have stated that compared to warmachine there is interaction in T9A in terms of armor saves, dispel attempts and reactions. its a misconception that warmachine doesn't have interactions, there are plent…

Quote from VisconteDimezzato: “Quote from PhearTheHam: “Already looking for a good budget podcast mic. Does anyone have suggestions? A couple of my streamer friends are suggesting something called BM-800 ” Almost all the twitch streamers have their setups in their info section on twitch. Take a look at them, they're also generally connected to Amazon ” The amazon part is my main dilemma, being from the philippines shipping costs would kill me if i order thru amazon. Quote from Hombre de Mundo: “Quote from PhearTheHam: “Releasing in an hour and a half guys! Hope you like the vid! youtube.com/watch?v=GP3fewr87HY ” It's a solid start! The army background in the beginning is the best and most engaging part. Music and images are well edited in throughout to set the tone For future improvement, consider the following: - There are some minor audio issues throughout. For example, the intro is rather loud compared to your speaking voice. Then, either a better record…

Quote from ferny: “excellent work pheartheham! Loved it start to finish. The burning paper and panning over art both worked very well for the lore sections. A couple of very minor things I noticed - there were no images of the mantic models you mentioned, or of the rhworldbuildig paper models. For future videos, it might be cool to structure from sold models (eg mantic), STL (eg lubrart) and then for quick and accessible 2d (rhworldbuilding). Also the sound levels weren't always super consistent…

Crap... gonna re-upload this soon then damn it i had recorded the narration first before i made the screenshot of the list and got confused Quote from Folomo: “@PhearTheHam Thanks for mentioning my help Just noticed, but you have the images for the first list (10:52) and the second list (11:18) switched around. Based on your narration, the image of the first list should be the pure CC list and the second list should be the ranged list, but the first list presented is the shooting one and the sec…

Quote from bas_2312: “I like how you (@PhearTheHam) use the artwork in your video's. You're (part of) the Art team, so that's probably how you have access to that? I realize there's an art section in the gallery. Is that basically free to use if others want to make lore videos? Or maybe there's a way to make an easily accesible page for this? Little text like the music guy Kevin McCloud has, something like "This artwork was made for the 9th Age by ...". It would make it easier when making lore v…
