There are a few models that I'd like to scan, modify and print. again, this topic to me is much more complex than you'd think. independent of the output quality of your photoscanning, the idea of scanning someone else's sculpt and then printing it without consent is something i would never do. it pits the interests of different types of creators against each other - which …

Quote from piteglio: “i used Meshroom too, i didnt like its results. this is one of those cases where you trade user-friendliness for power. i prefer to spend more months and learn the powerful solution... ” Do you mind sharing the software you use? I'm also interested in 3D scanning for 3D printing purposes. There are a few models that I'd like to scan, modify and print. A lack of user friendliness doesn't scare me. Do you want the top players of each faction go through their book and mix up all points as they see fit? The result would be a mess IMO. Internal balance will improve, but external balance will be off. And I feel it will be even worse situation when external balance is off significantly. Pe…

Quote from Promet: “All clear! Im sorry if I caused a misunderstanding, I dont always get the meaning between the lines, english isnt my native language ” No need to apologize. I am probably the one to blame for being unable to express an heartfelt compliment without following up with an even bigger amount of cynicism.

  • I agree that it feels somewhat unsatisfying that similarly designed units have vastly different prices in different books. But I think it is worth considering that except for a warm fuzzy feeling created by symmetrically priced units, there is not much gained from achieving symmetrical pricing. Symmetrical pricing can only be a potential effect of balancing, it should not be the goal. The argument that every unit in a category should have similar representation is something that I don't agree wi…
