  • @Eisenheinrich Thank you for the response. A couple things that jump out as strange to me however: Quote from Eisenheinrich: “We never discussed the implications of this change in terms of special saves, i.e. if you could still take them or not. I assume the reason for that was that each of us interpreted the "new" spell their way without being aware that someone else might have a different interpretation : For you guys, it appears to be obvious that you could take special saves against multiple…

  • Each player has a "turn time bank" and a "bonus time bank". You can use up to X time per turn, and if you go over that, you can dip into your bonus time. The bonus time can be spent across any of the turns. Players can decide how much time per turn, and how much is in the time bank. Kind regards, Axiem

  • Quote from Herminard: “Quote from Squigkikka: “Quote from Herminard: “I got access as part of the WTC that Frederick is arranging. I agree there are some sublte nuances. Both platforms look like something state of the art from 1996. I dont think we need two of these platforms. ” I think Warhall has lot more potential to become the platform for online play since the support and the appeal of it is bigger- especially to a new audience. You're a veteran of UB and I agree there's a charm to its grap…

  • No it's an internal doc, I'll ask if we can share it, but will see. This was me asking if you thought there were any posts you might have had bookmarked, etc. that you wanted to make sure made it into the catalog for internal use going forward. Kind regards, Axiem

  • Hey guys! We're updating our internal catalog of concepts / idea collection for the LAB and obviously with a 1200+ page thread, there are many in here that may have been missed. If you have any in particular that you'd like to draw our attention to, please link them here. Thank you! Kind regards, Axiem

  • @Fithvael Awesome paint-scheme -- really like the muted brown interpretation of the Frost Phoenix. My only comment is maybe a bright blue wash around some of the white-parts might make it more Frosty @'Vegey' That's an awesome model! If it had front claws, I would be all over it! Kind regards, Axiem

  • Quote from pazda_pl: “About my privat wardens vision: I picture them to myself as a wardens of mortal realm protecting it from otherworldly beast, drawn to Calada Ablan by powerfull sorcerer's and wizards during their experiments. They are on site to assist in case something goes wrong and keep the wizards safe till they close breach in the Vail. They form a military order, from experienced soldiers that have wisdom and age high enough to have some proficiency in magic, enhanced by constant pres…

  • Going to leave this up for one more week then begin the process of condensing, cleaning up, and submitting. Get your questions in -- and please vote up the questions you'd like to see answered! Kind regards, Axiem

  • Quote from arwaker: “If brainstorming for LAB concepts, and also considering (maybe) unpopular suggestions, I first of all would like to ask how important it is at all for HE identity to have two different chariots. Is chariotism a central element of HE culture? Or is it maybe rather dragonism? We have seen in other books (initially) unpopular decisions to merge two distinct units, to free up some design space for other more important things. In my opinion chariots are not iconically enough for …

  • Let me try to add a little focus. It may or may not come to pass that Reaver Chariots are moved to Core as small units (in the same way that some other armies have this rule). I personally am not holding my breath however. If it does, great -- we can all rejoice at the new options abound, but at the same time I suspect that the conversation would simply reverse itself in the opposite direction and the focus would simply shift towards how little Highborn Lancers do in comparison with now small un…

  • Quote from arwaker: “Maybe just to solve several "issues" in one change: Remove Swiftstride. Swiftstride increases chances of successful long charges. This seems to be a major problem for many people here. Losing swiftstride does not decrease the maximum charge range. You can still try to dice your luck. That is very Vermin Iike. Losing Swiftstride makes the extra d6 not causing confusion anymore on how and when to apply it. Losing swiftstride would make VS step less on the toes of factions that…

  • Quote from skipschnit: “By the way, I read somewhere that there was a question as to when the d6 was rolled for the Dreadmill chariots. When charging, declare as normal and roll as normal, then add the d6”. It is a good point that someone brought up about the failed charge and I’ll take it back to the team and RCT to discuss if the d6” is to be added or not. I will also ask about clarifying the “legal charge” part as well, so we will know if we are taking the max possible range, or only the maxi…

  • Hello Elven Princes! The background team has offered to help shed some light on our army's background, and has made a bit of a contest out of it! The task is simple: - ACS will be gathering 5 Questions per army, and will assign a priority to each question, from 1 to 5; - BGT will answer the questions, trying to mix factions in every Scroll issue (so, for example, 1 for BH, 1 for DH, then other questions from the Sage topic); - Questions having a good answer in already published material are excl…

  • Please reread what I wrote. We can take it to DMs -- don't need to clutter up more of this thread. Kind regards, Axiem

  • Quote from Ghiznuk: “Quote from Axiem: “One other question: is there a reason these models are listed as being on different base sizes? Doesn't this make it challenging from a modeling/army building standpoint? ” they're different models for different units, i don't see why it's wrong to have different bases ? ” What is the purpose of this? They look similar (at least to a lay person), functionally similarly (both swift stride constructs, even if they fill different roles), and could easily be u…

  • @Nicreap Quote: “Trust me, those stats are accurate. The difference is you report only the odds of rolling exactly a number, which while useful in some situations, isn't for the purposes of hitting a long charge. You want to know what the odds of hitting the exact number you need to land the charge or higherbecause rolling a 10 when you needed a 9 is still a success. So I took the very table you are using, and added the odds of everything above the bare minimum to succeed at the charge as well, …

  • @Nicreap There's so much in there to take apart, I'm not going to have time to dig into each piece. Let's agree on some basics: - I made it very clear what I meant by my comments; you're not going to get me to move from my definitions, because I was precise with my language the first time on purpose; - A threat range is a unit's max range, everyone agrees with this terminology right? There shouldn't be any contest here; that means the threat range is 23"; - Those stats are not accurate; I'll pos…
