Kanske blir min första turnering med EoS, så det vore väl bra att ha en BSB målad tills dess: ZDZ1SRD.jpg

  • I'm working on another banner. Very slow going, but it is getting there. ZDZ1SRD.jpg

It's happening! Quote from dennis: “Nu blir det lite spel i Västerås i november börjar smått kanske blir större.. ”

  • The Scarabs look great! Well worth the time The obelisk looks cool too. Is the marble effect freehanded? It looks neat

Quote from RobertR: “Riktigt cool terracotta! Kommer den synas på turneringar efter pandemin? ” Tackar!

  • Those look wonderful Remy! And you were right, quite a unique take on the little buggers. The colour kinda makes a lot of sense though, really gives them a cave dweller vibe. Good work!

  • I've been flicking through the book and had a good laugh at all the names. I think they are wonderful! The slight sillyness to the names is right up my alley. A pun here, a roman term here, its great. Also, the book has gotten me really inspired to start working on my VS army again

Quote from Guardi Hammer: “Best unit ever. ” Thanks mate!

  • Finished up the last of the six characters, an Artificer for my EoS army. Though he may find work as a Hireling in Skirmish as well. 36842-7befcca3-large.jpg I also painted up another unit this week, 10 Skeleton Scouts. I keep being impressed by how fast the Terracotta Army is to paint. 36843-1dc2e635-large.jpg And in the process I also painted up a Death Cult Hierarch: 36844-3e0ac04b-large.jpg

Finished up the next unit, 10 Skeleton Scouts: 36843-1dc2e635-large.jpg And in the same process, I painted up an extra horse and a Death Cult Hierarch to ride it: 36844-3e0ac04b-large.jpg Very happy with the colours on this guy

  • Quote from Maypole: “I'm super excited about your paint-job! Such things really inspire me to make miniatures for 3d-printing, especcially for T9A-community. Thank you for choosing my mini for showing your skills and making it real from digital! Can I share this pic in my social network with mentioning you as a credit? ” Hey! Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad to hear that you like the result! Share to your heart's content, I would be honoured

  • That little skeleton picking up the big skull should learn to lift with his legs. Lifting like that will hurt your back (though I like the poses you've achieved on the crew) The halfling scratapult looks really promising!

Quote from dan: “Never would have guessed pink and orange were complementary, but obviously they are. Beautiful! ” Thanks mate! Yeah, orange and pink are a bit of an odd couple I've found. I love the way they look together on a mini, but they run a high risk of blending together into a single colour. Separating them with white lines I've found helpful, but I'm sure there are many other ways to solve it too.

Finished up another character for the army, a second Tomb Architect. The model is from Titan Forge. Unlike my first architect, this one I am actually happy with. I wanted to do her in pink and orange, but to increase the contrast between the colours, I made the pink very dark. Unlike the first one, I picked out the cloth on her hips in a different colour from the rest of the dress, which helped create visual interest. I also wasn't brave enough to try out any elaborate freehand on her, but at le…

The banners are finished! I fixed the spelling error on the Imperial Guard banner: P9u1R6l.jpg And I did the last details on the Halberdier banner: zZiOgYp.jpg I went with the longer "In Sole Solum Vie", my thanks to @Konna for the suggestion. The longer phrase suited the banner, as it I needed the scroll to be long enough to reach across the whole banner, and fairly thin to not obscure the sun too much.

  • Another week, another update! I've painted up two more character models. First is a dwarf handgunner from MOM Miniature. He'll probably find use as a Hireling in Skirmish. Nothing special about this guy. I tried some new paints on the beard, and it worked well. I'm also quite satisfied with the small freehand on the trimming of his robe. 36783-5b887398-large.jpg Next was a Tomb Architect for my Terracotta Army. The model is from Titan Forge. 36782-ee7fffe0-large.jpg And finally, I finished up a …
