Quote from Arjan Degenaar: “Not even 1 additional harpie is bought to get to 9 for an additional casualty for panick test. ” I am using 9 because it moves the Panic threshold by 33%

Quote from Herminard: “The ACS are stakeholders?? This was news to me. Do you have a complete list? Is there an A and B tier of stakeholders then? ” Project Management, Rules Team, Background Team, Art Team, Legal Team, ACS. It is not as small a group of people as a rather nebulous term stakeholders might imply. There aren't tiers among stakeholders and generally different stakeholders focus on different things while having an option to voice their views on any part of the LAB. What has tiers ar…

@Girien the DE ACS are also part of the Stakeholders and their role is to represent the views of the public during the reviews but there is also a more or less clear hierarchy what feedback takes precedence when evaluating LAB teams work 1. Conformity to Background and thus legal security 2. Conformity to Rules direction of the Project and thus mechanical consistency 3. Conformity to the expectations of the public

Just to manage expectations for the future while I am not willing to say it is 100% certain players should not expect to see Light Troops cavalry in Core in sizes smaller than 8.

  • Quote from Klexe: “I think all that means is that slan will most likely suffer -1 LD. Currently he has pseudo Ld9, stand behind bsb and general in one. So if you want that again buy crown. Or he looses bsb+general combo at all ” Or all of that remains but there are additional interactions introduced into the mix. The possibilities are many

Quote from Il Maestro: “The Dread Elves possess the elven affinity for magic almost as strongly as their noble kin. ” As explained a couple of weeks before the word affinity signifies their attraction to magic, not their ability. Quote from Il Maestro: “DE focus on a strong offensive casting - both ranged damage as well as CC support. ” This means spells available to the DE should more heavily focus on the offensive rather than defensive effects. Quote from Il Maestro: “DE spells have high in-ga…

Quote from Cam: “If you actually go back through the guidelines @Giladis is very vocal that evocation doesn't fit but now we have that. So obviously these things are whimsical. ” Are you sure I said it doesn't fit? Considering how the setting is built I probably said it is "less fitting" but I honestly don't recall my reply from that time. Furthermore just because something is less fitting doesn't mean it is unfitting. Most common example of that being the SE request to be given access to Witchc…

  • My thoughts are similar. UD should be an army that is just due to circumstances dead while the VC should be mighty undead creatures and their puppets. For one army undeath is a quirk for the other a feature.

  • Quote from Wesser: “Its not even recognizable as WDG ” Can you elaborate please. Is it because it doesn't include any "warrior" apart from the Exalted Herald?

  • WDG for me are a Monster Mash outlet and I cannot imagine them without using an Exalted Herald. (Hidden Content)

Quote from Cam: “They’re more in tune than other races. ” What do you mean by "more in tune"? The way how I understand the term there are no creatures in T9A setting that are "more in tune" with magic. That is not how our magic system works Quote from Cam: “They definitely don’t feel middle of the road either with 2 adept paths and 3 master only paths. They feel second bottom, above DH. ” While that may be your perception the way how the Project establishes this puts them at the very top of the …

Quote from Cam: “when they're supposed to be a magic heavy race ” Not in T9A. Being elves does not bring any innate "magicness" in our setting. What some elves have is higher than average interest in learning magic aka affinity for magic. With more people interested in magic and with longer lifespans through the rule of big numbers specific individuals may develop unique skills that are not encountered among some other races. As stated by the guidelines DE are a middle "magicness" army with a pa…

  • Quote from jimmygrill: “hence my question whether this can be changed in any way. ” Honestly speaking from experience from other world-building I was involved with I would say it will never happen fully. E.g. the lore of High Magic had a several pages long article for internal use by designers while at no point over the entire course of WHFB existing was more than 3 sentences published on the lore. When world-building is involved one needs to create an inordinate amount of information that just …
