  • Quote from JeroBeam: “In my opinion it is still the biggest problem of this project, that this super big, well discussed and extremly detailed background with which we all will be overwhelmed with, is still not publicly published! Background driven design is fine, if the background is published. If not, it is a kind of super ivory tower. ” The option then is not to share any Alpha or Beta progress and release the Gold books when it's all done. This would give you a cohesive, holistic look of the…

  • Quote from Peacemaker: “My personal take is that the Roman Theme was just a bit overdone - It's like the entire book is Roman. ” If it was, there wouldn't be an issue IMO. But for the sake of argument, I took the liberty of counting all the names in the book to see how many were actually roman. And I'm being generous here and giving you terms like "Dictator" and "Senator" to count as roman, despite them being common English words. I'm also counting anything that's just latin- or roman-sounding i…

  • I have no personal interest in DL so I don't particularly care for this model range... BUT: I have to say that this Kickstarter looks solid and I love that you base it off of T9A. I wish you the best of luck, this deserves to be funded! Keep posting! I'll be sure to share it around

  • Quote from Lakson: “And here's a preview of the September release on Titan Forge Patreon the-ninth-age.com/community/in…16f72cc18480a991aab702f0d ” Pöh! Who cares about silly little people when they're releasing this big boi: 1.jpg This model will be perfect for an EoS Giant. Just gotta replace that there door knocker with a volley gun!

  • Quote from VisconteDimezzato: “Do you have the carpet measures? It would be wonderful to have them compatible with bases to use the whole thing as a filler. ” At 100% size, the carpet is some 39mm wide, so it can fit a 40x40 on its own. Note that if you have GW bases or equivalent that's actually smaller at the top, you'll need to scale it down to 90-95% or so or it will stick out by one mm (no biggie but some people like their tidiness). Klepa can fit a normal 20x20, same for backpack. Fleabag …

  • Quote from Calisson: “:clapping: I don't know whether you aim for more perfection, but Klepa looks a bit too small compared to Flebag and the backpack. Nonetheless, the scultpure looks more appealling than the drawing! ” We're looking at some minor changes right now, thanks for the input. A lot of times, you'll never really know how something will turn out until you hit print. Our first test print is done and we're gonna make some optimisations over the next few days, so expect Klepa soon! LAXFv…

  • Quote from WoeRie: “How are your experiences with the elastic resin? Does it help against the breaks? ” Yes, I can definitely recommend more elastic resins. I use the standard Elegoo resin, works very well. It's medium soft, so it's not like normal arms and weapons will bend but it's soft enough to prevent easy snaps.

  • I just subbed to Highland Miniatures patreon for these awesome models (all digital ofc, get with the time, gramps!): 1.png 1.png 1.png 1.png 1.jpg

  • I've always looked at WDG as a primarily offensive army, one that engages others on their turf, in which case ruins of your least favourite faction or a rival player's faction would be suitable. The wasteland in the LAB is oftentimes portrayed as, well, your traditional wasteland, so full of rocks, dirt and dust. There's also a decent amount of fire and some lava. I'm also a fan of WDG on snow bases. Gives them a different but satisfying feel.

  • Quote from WoeRie: “Thanks to all again. I think I understood... starting small and test... test... test. Until I get the desired results and then, after all the tests, finally start with the real army! But I'm so terrible impatient ” It sounds like a lot but really, I only had to test 5 minis. This will vary, of course... But here's what I did: First test: 2 minis. Auto-support and Auto-support + manual. Second test: 2 minis 0.05 vs 0.03 mm layer height Third test: 1 mini. Different resin I did…

  • Quote from darkknight109: “I've said this a few times in this thread, but I'll reiterate - I'm not suggesting that the core rules of T9A change at all. To the contrary, I think what I'm getting at is probably best handled in an EoW-style supplement or alternate ruleset. ” What do you think the benefit is of having an official "casual" ruleset versus house rules? Quote from darkknight109: “ Optimization isn't customization or variability though. And the fact that there are varied competitive list…

  • Quote from WoeRie: “However as a total noob i'm a bit afraid of doing the supports myself, as I also have some big things I want to print, which would take forever to print Somehow I think, should start with small ones... ” Yes, always start small. The first thing I did was printing the exact same miniature with different supports at different angles to see what gave me the most reliable result. The second thing I did was to print the same miniature with different print settings and different re…

  • Quote from darkknight109: “The very first list I tossed together when I tried WAP for the first time was a Chaos Dwarf list that actually *felt* like an evil dwarf list, with sinister artillery pieces and machines out the wazoo. Hellcannons, Dreadquake Mortars, Magma Cannons, two trains, a Kolossus, and a bunch of engineers to keep everything running... I had long had visions of rolling out an army straight out of a mad scientist's workshop (albeit one with dwarven craftsmanship behind it), with…

  • The 3D printing market is dominated by RPG players, where 32mm is more common. That's the main reason. Another advantage is detail and downscaling. Like Shukran said, it's easy enough to downscale from 32 to 28. So then, you make 32mm the default, because then you can make it a bit more detailed than a 28mm version, which makes it more likely to sell. On the technical side of things, downscaling from 32mm to 28mm is super easy. It's literally just changing a text field from 100% to 88%. I've fou…

  • If I may, the best place to start with tinkering with T9A models would be Flea Market's community sculpting event. We're almost done with Klepa and Fleabag and just need a couple more items to finish this T9A-exclusive model, to be made free for everyone!

  • Why would you want to own a paper printer is the question

  • First off, thanks for a well put-together post @darkknight109. Quote from darkknight109: “The more that T9A tries to differentiate itself from WFB units/lore, the more you're putting T9A's lore in direct competition with GW and that is a fight T9A is not going to win. Again, I wish no disrespect to the authors who have put together some incredible lore and stories for the LAB and other background pieces for T9A, but there simply is no toppling GW and the Black Library on that front. The more peo…

  • Quote from GorillaConda: “Arch talks about how GW is focused more on going subscription based and digital. More video games and collectible merchandise. So moving away from tabletop altogether. This makes sense with how quickly 3D printers are changing the tabletop gaming landscape. ” I'd have to watch the video but from this summary, I don't think this is likely. GW will definitely go more towards digital and subscriptions but they won't abandon tabletop. The strategy we've seen so far is mores…
