  • I have had no problems with VS cannons. I have almost had a tank one shot but aside from that they die too quickly to get too much practice in against them. Also VS is typically I feel a good matchup for us right now.

    Yeah again all that means really little and we have same min size for slaves and vassals as warriors. I dont think 15 man units of the current design will be world breaking or cause MSU or not qualify as MMU.

    kadim Family, Blunderbuss without bastion, gunnery teams that go in units are the big ones for me. Overlord too.

    I mean you still got top 25% overall and you punted IMO two good matchups (demons and pyro do not mix well) so seems to work pretty well. One thing is that with cannons you can earn theiroints back safely unlike giants which IMO are more of a risk but to each their own. I am always surprised by the cannon hatred because I love mine and even when they punt the bed the way your opponent has to change to play against them I find to be good most of the time. I hope you enjoyed the list!

    I love the tank flamethrower a ton and have been using the tokens very successfully with that and Pyromancy! I have not tried the gunnery teams because of all the aforementioned problems along with costing two FOI. I will also say that even the tank which I think is perfect for the naptha still has to have some help usually with Raven's wing in order to be seriously threatening usually. I like the idea of increasing attacks but I also think decreasing the FOI to 1 but making them 0-3 or whatever…

    Like they didnt shoot often because of the range and when they did it was grossly ineffective. They pushed forward and were a bunker for my mage who killed things, but outside of being a bunker they were not effective and never made close to their points back. I also dont really think they are that strong to fully zone an enemy from combat. They threatened some countercharges too I guess but that doesnt make them an effective shooting unit which is what I thought the feedback was for.

    My meta is very WM heavy, so I also feel that it is way too risky most times to put a character on a bastion, especially with like 3-5 VS players any given club day with the new d6 wound cannons and stuff combined with the relative immobility of the unit,and I cannot justify it. And a normal bastion just feels like it is eating valuable points to make core decent.

    Worded as is it should stack. its not like banner of speed where one or more banner does the same thing. Just the minimum move is 3"/6"

  • it is fun to play, less fun for the opponent if things go well and you take off handfuls of models a turn. I normally dont even play it at club bc it eats people.

    Maybe changing the name to "Demolisher Hand Cannons" and swapping Fight IER of the Ziggurat with Fire IER of the flintlocks would be a good way to start balance and change the cognitive dissonance from blunderbusses as an anti-big block weapon and make the bastion more comparable for both options. As a side, I bet it will see also bigger units of different types of CG with it.

    Very little I feel. They are good vs Aboms and 3+ blackfurs which both my opponents had, they just failed to do significant damage to either. Im going to keep trying them more even though I feel they are for sure subpar but I also feel that they have rare cases where they shine and my issue again is the amount you have to put in them to make them live. Most combat threats in my area are not worried about this unit on its own.

    Try them vs the new globe launchers from VS with +1 to wound. I was mr3 and he still got off either rr to wound or -1 r and killed 21 models in 2 turns of shooting.... Seems fun and interactive and I have 3 VS players in my club so yeah I think they die easy. I see similar happening in like a dwarf off too or if my blunderbuss list faced my other lists it would have a horrible time.     RE Berti: Take all the negative energy you have towards ID and go use it to make ideas for DH LAB please. RE Blunderbusses: One issue I have is the extra sunk costs to use them. You either a) get a bastion (which now is only used really to work with blunderbusses), or b) run them wide and have characters in there for support, which adds more hidden costs to the unit.
